Could someone make a flashable zip of the camera from the 4.4.4 update (allows video recording to be paused)?
I like to use slimkat, but prefer the stock camera.
Thanks

It's official now, that's the third version of MotoCamera I install but I can't enable the HDR. I had it on stock, but migrated to GPE and can't use HDR no more.
have you all tried this: http://d-h.st/vHp
got this from http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...postcount=2434
It's a flashable zip of new camera libs that when flashed with fix all that camera fc when running custom kernel on custom rom (not moto stock).
go press the thanks button to his post if the zip file works.

Not working on Paranoid Android 4.5 Beta 1 with 4.4.4, neither is the link to the OP :/
I have flashed AllianceRom for my Galaxy Note II LTE (GT-N7105).
But there is a problem. I cannot use the camera now.:crying:
When I open the camera apps, "Camera failed." message show...
I have tried to do a full wipe and reinstall the rom again - still not work...
Who can help me?
Help please!
Thanks
I have solved the problem. I think it's the kernel problem.
If you also have this problem, you may try the following step:
Full wipe --> flash AllianceRom (ROM) --> flash stock kernel --> reboot --> open camera app --> flash TWRP recovery --> flash agni kernel

@jatinkhatri will this flashable zip provide stock or almost stock camera quality ? Also, will it work on android N ?

I found this[attached] on XDA and it works fine on 7.1.2 ROM
Near to stock quality
Note:- it's not flashable zip ... Just extract it and install it as normal APK file
@jatinkhatri That's cool, thanks. Is there any bugs ? Can you use the frontal flash with it ?
Also, not wanting to abuse, could you please try to enable the camera2 API with it (through that build.prop method) and see if it is indeed available to the apps (there's an app for that AFAIK) ?

As of date I didn't face any bug ....
I don't think camera2 API will work ....
Does Camera2 api work with stock ROM ? Just asking I'm not sure about that can you please confirm ?
@jatinkhatri I don't have the phone with me right now so I can't speak. From my research though, it seems to not be enabled by default on the stock ROM, thus me asking you to try to enable it on build.prop (adding "persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1" to it and rebooting)

Yes. But i do wat i can do. Im not so cwalifed to write smali code.
I'm coming from v6 Mini cam and dirty flashed your modified version but I'm still facing the fc issue. Do I have to remove the old cam first? Does HAL3 need to be on or off?
I'd welcome any help.
I'm on:
ROM: newest XPerience build
Kernel: Xperience stock kernel
Magisk: yes
Xposed: yes (official, no modules installed, yet)
===== Edit =====
Deactivating the gallery app doesn't work for me. I'm now using Google's gallery app. It has an option that allows to open the preview. This kind of works as a workaround but I'd rather use another gallery app.

Same Rom and same MIUI Camera Apk (MIUI v5). Just go to System/ Apps, delete "miuicamera" folder. Then reboot into the recovery, clear cache and then flash this camera Zip. HDR working, save in SD working too....

I'm using Alessa which is included in Xperience. You can also install Kernel Adiutor from playstore.
1) reboot your device
2) reproduce the error
3) start Alessa/ Kernel Adiutor and go to settings/debugging. There should be an option to copy the logcat to sdcard.
4) attach the log file
Best regards

Not cleanly. You should follow the instructions from the other thread and make sure to wipe cache before flashing this cam.
What's wrong with this thread?
