I'm new to the smartwatch game so just looking for information on rooting my Galaxy Watch. Basically, I'd like to be able to delete certain stock apps that I don't use, and to clean up certain things on the watch. Is any of this possible? I have experience with rooting my old Nexus 4 and Galaxy S6, and using the now discontinued, but never forgotten Cyanogenmod haha but I would still consider myself a newbie with all that.
As far as i have been reading in the topics there is no root for tizen 4 operating system

Hello XDA-Developers!
Here is my dilemma:
I do app security testing for my company and our team talked management into finally buying us a Nexus 7 device for that purpose. My company is also a big customer of Good for Enterprise.
In order to run Good for Enterprise, it means no root, complex password on the lockscreen, and encrypting the filesystem.
Root is pretty much a necessity for my job (being able to pull files out of /data/data/<app> and see what's going on, running shark and other tools, etc.), but I'd still like to be able to have Good on the tablet. The process for evading root (as laid out in this post on XDA: link) is laborious and doesn't yet work for 4.3.
Is there any way I could have seperate Android ROMs running on the device, one with root and one without?
I see MultiROM is in the process of being ported to the new Nexus 7, but I don't know if it's going to work. The version for the old Nexus 7 doesn't support encryption and Good for Enterprise forces it.
Something like SafeStrap would be perfect, but I haven't found anything like it for the Nexus 7.
Maybe I'll be forced to juggle nandroid images of the same OS rooted and non-rooted.
Any suggestions?
I have Android 4.2.2 Nexus 7 running on my PC that I use to test various apps and other functions. This is used by developers but I don't know how useful it will be to you.

One of my co-workers was messing with Genymotion last week.
From what he showed me, it runs in Virtualbox, so I assumed it is the x86-compiled version of Android. Does it have the ability to run ARM-compiled apks?
Hey everyone I just bought my 8.0 tab woohoo!! I'm just wondering if it's really worth it to root the tablet? What (is)are the best benift(s) for the tablet?

There are many different reasons as to why people like to root. Here are a few examples:
1) Some want total control of their Android Device whether it be a phone or table.
2) Some want certain apps that will only work with Root Permissions.
3) Some want to install a ROM for either its features, customization, or just cause it looks cool.
4) Some want to flash multiple ROMs cause they just like messing with their device. These people are also known as "Flashaholics". Terrible sickness to get...
Those are the main ones I can think of, i'm sure there are more reasons, but these are mainly my reasons.
As for if it's worth it? That's up to the user. I will forever Root any Android Device I acquire. Some devices I will add a Custom ROM or some I will just leave Stock Rooted. Example, I put Custom ROMs on my SGH-i777 (SGS2), but I leave my Note 8.0 Stock Rooted. I don't want to lose all the features of the S-Pen, I specifically bought this tablet for that reason.
Now if it was any other tablet that didn't have great stock features, I probably would've put a Custom ROM, or just bought a Nexus 7.
Worth it? Maybe. But what do you have to lose? You can root and not utilize the extra functionality, and still receive OTA updates.
I rooted because there is a plethora of functionality in apps and programs I can use and I don't have to swallow verizon updates that they force on my phone due to my roms I installed. Great benefits by rooting. It's your phone, root it when you need it! Lol

If you do decide to root, i highly recomend multi window manager its on the playstore and allows you to add ANY apps you like to multiwindow you can play a game and watch a movie at the same time, or have ebay open while on whatsapp it lets you choose what to put in the note 8s multiwindow and works very well.
Enjoy

I would like some advice on how best to clone the setup for a Galaxy Tab 3 across 100 devices that will be given away at a conference. I am very familiar with rooting my own device, but I am most interested in saving time.
Can anyone recommend their best idea on how to clone the homepages, bookmarks, video and wallpaper we have added to a prototype across a bulk amount of devices?
Obviously we could do it manually. Obviously trying to avoid that.
Obviously I could root, install CWM and create a recovery image that I could then flash across each device. Obviously this is riskier, and it seems like only a slightly less time-consuming process.
Any advice on backup software that doesn;'t require root, etc. would be great. I am a Titanium with root guy myself, so I don't know much about these more "legit" methods.
Thanks for your help.
Have you looked in to using kies to back your "donor" tab and then restoring the fikes to another device? It may still be time consuming, but I think it may offer a partial alternative that does not require rooting every unit. There is an optiin to transfer data to another device.

On my previous Sprint Galaxy phones, I have been able to create custom notifications and place them in a particular folder, enabling me to choose them from the notification chooser (I believe that they call it the Media Picker, or something like that). If I remember correctly, I was even able to do this when the phones were not rooted, but I might be wrong about that.
I have not yet rooted my Sprint Galaxy Note 4, and it might be sometime before I get around to it. What I should like to know is this: is it possible to create and use custom notifications with this phone and operating system as I did with previous Galaxy phones and versions of Android? And if it i is possible, can I do it before I route the phone Thank you very much for your help.
Hi!
(This is my first post on XDA developers so please let me know if this is not the appropriate place to ask this question)
I have a Samsung Galaxy tab 3.7.0 (1GB+16GB), and it is still running on out of the box software except for the ota updates. And as one will guess it is very very very slow. I have pretty good knowledge when it comes to practical computing but haven't really ever rooted any device/tried any custom rom or done anything of that sort.
So it'll be great if anyone could firstly tell me which is the best custom rom for the mentioned model, I just need the rom to be a bug free one which does not lags. I don't intend to do anything heavy on it other than normal reading, whatsapp, online and offline streaming of music as well as videos. Since I am a noob, it would be great if someone would assist me through all these.
Also is it possible to make a bloatware free rom? Means even the preloaded apps of launcher/messaging/phone/music etc. be of my choice, so there's no two apps for the same thing (kinda my dream to be able to do so).
I will be ever thankful to anyone who helps me through all this.
