Hello all,
Google calendar stopped syncing on my Mi Max 3.
When I go to Accounts - Sync - Google I can see that everything (Chrome, Contacts, Drive, Gmail) syncs correctly (they show todays date for last sync) but Calendar and Google Calendar show a date from 3 days ago. I select "sync" and everthing does a sync (Chrome, Contacts etc.) but calendar does not.
This worked before not sure what has happened.
Any ideas?
This is on Miui global rom...

I have Gmail account logged on my Desire , and my Calendar has been syncing everytime i connect to Internet. In The google calendar web , there are uploaded all my events from Calendar. Recently I decided to change my ROM , and then to sync my calendar data through my google account , but only the
events since the new year (1 JAN '11) till now got sync. All my events from 2010 can't get sync.
Any ideas how to restore all my events from google calender , except writing them back again ? ;S
Silly question for you,
I assume the older calendar items are still in the gmail calendar as accessed by a browser ?
actually you can request older entries in the calendar app, tried that?

I have 2 calendars syncing: gmail calendar + google apps calendar.
Both calendars are syncing OK.
When I add a new event on my phone, I cannot only add it in the google apps calendar, only in the gmail calendar. The google apps calendar does not show up in the drop down list.
IS there a solution?
I have a rooted Galaxy Nexus running the Evolution rom and having trouble syncing my Google Calendar. When i make an event in either my phone or my computer browser, the event will not carry over to the other device. I added my exchange calendar and that syncs both ways with no problems.
When i go to settings > accounts > google > my google account, Calendar is not in the list to sync, I see Browser, Contacts, Currents, Drive, Gmail, Google Photos, and Google Play Music (in that order).
I have gone thru the calendar settings to look at calendars to display and calendars to sync and it shows up in there but its not actually syncing. I even tried to reflash gapps to no avail.
Any ideas?

Noticed this same issue after flashing my Xoom to EoS3. I have no ability to sync google calendars.

Check calendar-menu-calendars to sync and make sure it's checked.

Where are you seeing this? there are no calendars available? When I goto settings->accounts->google, there is no option for calendars. When I goto calendar->settings and select the google user id (i have multiple calendars) it reports no calendars available. Now the first account listed does state This account is being synced so your calendars may not be up to date, but its been saying that for a couple days now.

Call me paranoid, but I don't like the idea of keeping my appointments in the cloud.
The problem is, the stock HTC calendar reduces available options when I'm switching from a Google account to either the phone (i.e. HTC Sync) or local account.
Does anyone have any experience with the Google calendar app and local accounts? Is it possible to use it without syncing with Google? Is there any other decent calendar app that would work with a completely local account, with an occasional backup to either SD card or PC?
You can turn off synchronization for Google Calendar under settings.

Somehow on my phone this setting has no effect and Google keeps syncing the calendar.
And then I'm using several gmail accounts, so the events get scattered between different "accounts". I have no idea why a simple list of appointments has to be associated with any kind account.
I don't think you are doing it right when you turned off the calendar sync. Anyway, there is an app called Offline Calendar. Perhaps you could give it a try.
I know this app. It creates a local (offline) calendar, but does not do anything else, you have to use this local calendar as an "account" in some other calendar app, like the stock HTC calendar.
As to turning off sync, I don't think you can do it "wrong". You just go into Google account settings, tap on an account (if you have more than one, like I do) and then there are sync settings, you can choose whether to sync gmail, contacts, calendar, apps, etc. I uncheck all of the boxes except for gmail, since this is the only thing I need to be synced - otherwise I will not be able to read email and that's the whole point of having a Google account. In any case, the calendar sync setting is off and still the HTC calendar app syncs every time I add an event to a calendar associated with a Google account.
Two ideas to try:
1. Use Google calendar with sync turned off. See if it still syncs new event.
2. Stay with HTC calendar and use the offline new account created by that app. Add new event to the offline account.
Try a calendar on the play store that has no sync function........ Or, don't worry. Everyone syncs... If there were security issues, it would be reported all over.
I doubt Google will show up at an event you have scheduled and mug you. ?
Greetings, for some reasons I ignore, Asus calendar fails to sync some events of one specific calendar, events from other calendars are synced correctly.
Unfortunately, it happens on the work calendar.
When Google calendar is installed, Asus calendar magically starts showing the missing events, and of course, Google calendar doesn't miss anything, when disabling or uninstalling Google calendar, the events are cleared, re downloaded and some of them are missing on the device.
Missing events correctly display on other devices, Microsoft outlook on the computer, evolution on the laptop, the web gui and so on.
I tried to reset the Google calendar sync application, the calendar storage, the ASUS calendar application, of course, using Google calendar would be a workaround, but I will be left with the mystery of why it doesn't work correctly with ASUS calendar.
