DRM keys? Not sure if should unlock bootloader

looking into tinkering with my SW3 (pushed towelroot just to check it ~ no luck as expected)

So Iooks like I need to fastboot oem unlock before I'll be able to root (if I can actually root it) ~ does anyone know if there is a ta partition with drm keys like the Z phones? Would hate to lose these forever due to being too keen to "play" with my new toy.
(my end game is to get tasker with su access on watch btw..)

I was unaware of Sony DRM games (spoiled by the nexus devices I guess). So I unlocked and got bootloop, looks like manual format cache and user data required. Anyway I then repaired using PC companion as described in my post here.

^^ thx, it is the "trackid" sony app on the watch that has me spooked (that app doesn't work on Z3 if drm keys are wiped during bootloader unlock, worried same on sw3)

Hi, a Friend of mine has an xperia compact (1). There are some scratches on the screen, even if it is only 3 month old. May there still be a cover on it?

it looks a bit like this. As I only had Samsung phones I don't know how good the screen of the Sony device is.

Yes, there is a cover on it and it can be removed, but then, the Sony Logo will also be removed because it is on the cover
The cover is only there that you dont get cut by glass pieces if you drop your phone and your screen shatters

That's the Anti Shatter Film and you will void your warranty if your Remove it as per Sony!!

Well In my country, Sony Service Center do not entertain the customers who removed the ASF!! Even there are many threads on talk sonymobile forum regarding the same and the Moderator and Support Staff also says the same thing that warranty will void.

Can anyone help me with making zip, when I make the zip the phone doesn't play the animation but if I make the zip from any bootanimation making software it just work fine, but I need to alter the desc file so that I need to make the zip manually , can anyone help?

I have ZE551ML adopted storage used on CM13 Temasek - how to replace sdcard with preserving data ? Is backup from recovery enough to save data ?

Yeah maybe but it is time consuming operation ?. Because I get new sdcard 2x faster than old, I just turned phone off mounted new sdcard and set up it for adopted storage, it looks like this in system.

But now old sdcard is not functional in the same phone also? Wtf [emoji16]. Is there any way, utility to read old sdcard, encrypted as adopted storage?

Why apps don't see whole memory but only internal about 4.6 gb free...???

Using Drivedroid or a similar app

Hi! Im using the Mi 9 se for about 2 weeks, i have rooted succesfully the device but i cant use the App Drivedroid, the system dont recognize the device. Can anyone give me some advice? Or i have to change the rom or kernel to use it? I had an A2 lite and it worked perfectly.

Can anyone give me some help? Its nice to have Installations ISOS on the phone to fix so PCs, i think the problem is the kernel, in the settings menu, the option to change the kernel has disables options, i can only choose one (In other phones i has more options, and it worked)

I used this app on Zenfone 2. I will try check it on Mi 9 SE this week.

So it works for me. I tested it with Drivedroid base image and gparted live ISO and it worked. But I also have some other rescue ISOs which were not recognized.
Here are some settings that worked for me.
I'm using Okitavera kernel 8.2.

Thanks for the reply. I think that is something about the kernel. Im on Revolution OS, and I can't install okita kernel beyond certain point. Maybe if i try CrDroid or similar Rom...
