Bootloop after uninstalling Magisk (with App/TWRP) - Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro Questions & Answers

Hi,
title says everything.
I tried Magisk 19.3 and 19.4, uninstall with app and twrp.
MIUI Global 10.3.2
Any ideas?
Probably non working stock boot.img? Do/can I extract it from the original ROM file and flash with TWRP?

Magisk not working on MIUI 8.3.22 Global Dev rom

I've upgraded from MIUI 8.3.8 to 8.3.22 Global Dev rom recently. Magisk v16 was working well before on 8.3.8. But after updating, it stuck on boot loading screen. I've tried to use magisk v14, v15.3 and even Danward's Magisk v16.3 and still no success. The only way for me to boot my device is by flashing the stock boot.img and use my device without root and magisk.
How do we get Magisk v16 working with MIUI 8.3.22 Global Dev?

Boot after you've flashed the Rom without flashing magisk, then flash twrp by Fastboot again (will be lost), then flash magisk, will work, been there on mi5 and 6.

How to install TWRP and root on MIUI EEA 11.0.3 (Android 10)?

I have installed the latest MIUI EEA version (11.0.3.0 QGGEUXM) and, naturally, lost root and the recovery. Subsequently, I tried to install OrangeFox Recovery (Android 10 version) but this recovery was replaced by MIUI on boot. I also tried to install latest unofficial TWRP but now the phone failed to boot.
I also tried to install OrangeFox Recovery and, thereafter, Magisk. But once I had installed Magisk 20.4 the phone failed to boot.
Did anyone have success with the latest MIUI EEA ROM and, if yes, how did you root the phone?
Thank you.
(I edited the post once I discovered that there is not only the official EEA = EU ROM but also a modded xiaomi.eu ROM. I am talking about the official ROM for the EU/EEA.)
I now managed to install a presistent TWRP recovery. I used 1210 from wzsx150.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/re...overy-twrp-recovery-redmi-note-8-pro-t4033695
I also applied "Disable Replace TWRP" in advanced settings = modification of AVB2.0 stock boot. EDIT: This was indeed necessary.
Another hint: The recovery frequently fails to decrypt the phone. Solution: type very slowly. Hit backspace and delete the last two entries and retype if there is a hiccup and one of your "keystrokes" is not recognized.
Magisk patched boot.img worked for me.

Bootloop After Flashing Patched IMG on T-mobile Converted OP7T?

Hello, I was able to successfully turn my Tmobile 7t into an unlocked 7t with magisk + root for a little while.
I went to install the Pixelarity mod and I ran into a bootloop. I had to flash the 10.0.11-GLOBAL-OnePlus7TOxygen_14.O.13_OTA_013_all_2005192145_cc5bf09c02-FASTBOOT zip to get my phone to boot again.
Thankfully my data works but when I went to reflash the patched 10.0.11 zip my phone now bootloops until I reflash the stock Global OTA fastboot.
I've also tried and failed/gotten a bootloop after flashing the global rom fastboot and then trying to root with the all in one tool.
I've tried deleting the magisk module from twrp but I can't as when I go to data---> adb there is no adb folder for me to delete the magisk mod from. Any idea how I can regain magisk/root? Flashing the patched 10.11 img just bootloops and I can't seem to delete the modules from anywhere. Thanks

Question Bootloop after magisk on 12.5.3.0.RKHEUXM

Hello, this morning I found my poco f3 updated to Miui 12.5.3.0 (I was on 12.5.0.0) even though I had automatic updates disabled. After the automatic update I lost my root via magisk and twrp in recovery. No problem, I got twrp installed again, then I proceeded to install magisk v23.0 from TWRP, as I had done after 12.5.0.0. update.
Afterwars phone is stuck in a bootloop. I reflashed stock boot image, recovering the phone, but I ave been unable to install magisk in 12.5.3.0, I tried copying boot.img to the phone, then using magisk manager to patch the boot image, then flash the patched image trough fastboot, with the same result.
Anyone knows how to make magisk work in this new update?
Thank you

Try flashing the older patched boot.img on the new stock firmware.
On the 12.5.3.0 ill patched boot.img from 12.5.1.0 and all right.
Thanks for your replies. It seems the problem was a module I had installed being incompatible with the update (smali patcher). I tried removing the module from /data/odb/modules/ via twrp after installing magisk (also via twrp) and everything finally booted just fine!
But I hope this time disabling automatic updates works as intended
i have the same issue of auto updated and lost my root access.
Which boot.img I should Magish'd to get the root access again?
Currently installing my twrp
1. fastboot boot twrp.img
2. go to Advanced > Flash Current TWRP
3. after that is done, if you were using a custom kernel, reflash it now
4. if you were using magisk, reflash it now
if Flash Current TWRP fails, go to Backup > Refresh Sizes and try Flash Current TWRP again

Currently at the Resizing stage
Edit 1: failed, I have the error bootctrl error that prevent me from installing after resizing.
I have flashed the twrp3.5.2 directly to boot resulting in bootloop and needed to install the Boot.img from the 12.5.1 from the previous bulit
Edit: actually I can ignore that error.
Magisk installed but safety checked failed even I have the "universal safety check module installed "
Also the app thoax isn't working
I'd try removing all magisk modules, installing stock 12.5.3, then using magisk apk to create patched boot.img and flash it with fastboot (fastboot flash boot magisk_boot_patched.img)
Also, maybe try flashing bot boot_a and boot_b? I had a problem were my active boot partition changed and phone became even more broken.

Might wanna also uncheck Automatic system updates in the Developer settings to be safe.

There is a setting in the Xiaomi system updater that had by default checked auto-update. That setting need to be disabled/unchecked as well.
Since you have root with Magisk, can also Force stop or debloat the updater app, so the system will not update itself.

I had the same issue on Redmi Note 9 Pro (joyuse). Based on your tip I've removed some modules from `data/adb/modules` and my device is finally booting normally. Thanks!

Question Installing miuimix a12 and magisk

I need some help flashing the latest weekly miuimix a12. I'm experienced and all, been flashing roms before I could walk haha. But this device is really cracking me up.
I've tried flashing the weekly android 12 miuimix through twrp. Twrp vasishath gives a couldn't recognize zip file and twrp nebrassy gives a twrp crash (back to homescreen twrp) upon swiping the rom installation. I think both twrps don't allow installing android 12 rom. So I unzipped the latest weekly, went to fastboot and run the installer bat. This installed the rom for me.
But I don't think the installation was correctly done, since miuimix comes with magisk on board and magisk wasn't installed.
I also can't manually install magisk. I installed the app, patched the boot, flashed boot a and b, even installed twrp and sideloaded magisk.zip but the magisk app is showing n/a.
What did I do wrong, the miuimix a12 flashing or the patched boot flashing. Does someone know how to install an android 12 rom? This device is giving me a headache...

I'm not sure if magisk already support a12. The creator of magisk was working on it, with a lot of change like the no more hide feature, but idk if it already out
I was on the a12 supported canary build of magisk, but i guess maybe its to much "canary".
Or is installing miuimix a12 like i did, causing some trouble? By not being able tot flash the zip through twrp and installing with fastboot.
I'm lost on rooting my F3 on A12 as well. I can't do it through TWRP. I can't do it through adb sideload either. Will patching a boot image (not sure which to use for a global F3) and installing through magisk manager work?
Thanks.
