Android Q hide lockscreen content - Google Pixel 3 XL Questions & Answers

Hi,
I'm wondering if anyone has found a way to hide content from the lockscreen in android 10 like you were able in 9/pie? I have a weather app that i can't hide after upgrading but was hidden on 9. I've seen this with other apps as well such as FK Manager's battery status.
It's driving me nuts that i can't dismiss or hide this notification. i tried changing what can be displayed under privacy, but it didn't change anything.
Thanks in advance for any assistance!

[Q] Internet Browser

Is it possible to make stock internet browser auto hide the address bar like on note 2 and the option to hide status bar would be nice too?
Yes ..... When you're on your browser, you must go to settings and then be Lab menu you will have to check the box!
Thanks for your advice but I was aware of that feature. What I actually wanted to ask is why doesn't it automatically hide, the address bar, when scrolling like on note 2 or S3? On those devices, in the lab menu there is the option to even hide the status bar but our note 8 is in lack of that too. is there a tweak for all that?

Status Bar Auto Hide

hey guys
As you know there is an auto hide option for the taskbar in windows that would hide it when its inactive
I was wondering if there is any similar option\app to hide the status bar in our phones, without root, so the status bar would hide when not needed and when we need it, we can swipe it down.
I have googled it and I think its called immersive mode
any ideas?

As far as I know that feature can only be used with xposed or custom roms. So no, there is no option to use it without root.
Nova Launcher provides ability to hide notification bar but not sure if root is needed.

I found an app (GMD) that doesn't need root, but actually its focus is on navigation bar rather than the status bar, so I didnt like it.
anything else?

Hide icons of running apps on the status bar?

Hide icons of running apps on the status bar? Is it possible to do this without rooting? I hate having to look at the spotify icon / whatsapp desktop and other apps icons on my status bar all the time, it looks so cluttered , I KNOW spotify it's running since the music is playing google, I'm not that stupid to know it's running in the background , if I want to look at my notifications, let's say I get an email, I'll slide down the notification bar , I don't need notifications being thrown at me all the time...

Does long pressing the notification in question not allow you to shut it off? Or am I misunderstanding your interpretation?
Press and hold the Settings icon Quick Settings for a while. You'll see a new section System UI Tuner, from. There you can turn on or off icon in the status bar area. You'll also now notice a wrench next to your settings icon in your quick setting area.
I hope this is what you're referring to.
You can also swipe right slowly and it will reveal a settings icon, tap there and turn off notification from just that app

If you do that you then silence all the notifications for that app , don't get me wrong I don't want to eliminate the notifications , I just want to eliminate the icons on the status bar .
Take a look at the picture I uploaded , see how the bar gets crowded with all those app icons from Spotify , the new York times apps etc ?
For what you're wanting, you'll need root.

How to define, what is shown on the lockscreen

Hi all,
I'm using the lockscreen notifications to get informed about new messages, traffic information,... without unlocking the phone. What I don't want to see on my lockscreen are persistent notifications like AdGuard or my network speed meter. In the notification settings I can only switch them on/off globally, so they will also disappear from the status bar (but that's exactly where I want to see e.g. my network speed).
I'm pretty sure, there was an option sometime in the past saying 'Hide notification on lockscreen'. But I cant find that anymore in Beta19 nor Beta20. How do you control what is shown on the lock screen? Is this option hidden somewhere? Or do you use a third party lockscreen app?
Edit: I learned now, that I have to have a lockscreen defined when i want to change the visibility on the lockscreen.... Anyway, any recommendations for a good third party app?

Hide Quick Panel/top bar on certain apps?

Hi, is there an app, mod or anything that anyone knows about to hide (or dip/dim further) the top bar?
I know certain apps like games & media players can hide it so I just wondered if anyone knew of a way to do it?
The reason is for the attached screenshot. It's a tiny inconvenience but if I could hide the top bar when using Doubletwist (or any other app) it would allow the full artwork to be shown.
Conversely, if any knew alternatively of a way to perhaps make certain apps respect the top bar and only start the app under the navbar, that would be perfect also.
I'm on Android 10 if that's anything and while I know Good Look isn't working yet on 10, I don't believe there was an option to hide it however anyway?
Thanks in advance!
