so, there still don't work BT, also nav buttons broken and i'm not sure about deep sleep

Bluetooth fix still doesn't work on j710fn

Bluetooth files are deleted not fixed. Plus your vendor IMG convert j7 2016 into pixel 2xl and so is your kernels. Please fix Bluetooth instead of deleting it.

strange, mine is working. it should be fixed by editing the vendor.zip/variant/jx/fs/etc and removing the bluetooth folder.
reflashing vendor + gsi + fix, thats why bluetooth folder is deleted. try to flash j710bruh1..zip itworked for me.

its ok bluetooth is still working rather it is the fix for bluetooth, maybe i forgot the bluetooth lib,try to flash j710bruh1.zip, about pixel 2 xl its ok no performance nor harm to your phone. Ps (this is not my kernel i only edited some values)

please edit vendor/usr/keylayout sec_touchkey.kl and sec_touchscreen.kl remove the "#" at the beginning. try to flash j710bruh1.zip, mine is working though. if it is not working after flashing the fix, it a gsi error. try other gsi rom.

This is the most bigger placebo tweaks i have never seen here

Please take this down. It has no real changes done to the original project that makes it a decent fork.
And lacks proper credit and kernel source
And finally you never asked.

[APP][OOS] Snapdragon Gallery (caf)

...Coming directly from OnePlus 'darkware', open source and caf optimized :
https://github.com/OnePlusOSS/android/tree/oneplus/QC8998_N_7.1?files=1
Code:
<project name="platform/packages/apps/SnapdragonGallery" path="packages/apps/SnapdragonGallery" revision="7cedc36eb9b0986bf8e754ae3455884d581b2a5b" upstream="android_ui.lnx.2.1.r13-rel"/>
NO need for su/Magisk, just normal app install.. This Snapdragon Gallery has his own Audio+(FX) and includes other options : trim, mute, loop, snapshots... and vertical control 'swipes' for Vol. & Brightness.
For info this Snapdragon App was already used in (/system) CAF Roms like UltraCaf or BlissRoms7.1-caf.
(Also is open source and caf optimized (battery & speed) : CS Browser )
Nota : please, if you have another Snapdragon device, do report if working ok, thanks.
Embedded PhotoEditor is broken
This app do not use _Advertising or _Analytics.
Attached is .zip for SnapdragonGallery.apk with symlinks to lib, from original /system /priv-app
@oF2pks just awesome, excellent Gallery, smooth and Pictures/Videos are both available directly, great.
Now i hope a Snapdragon Camera
Thank you mate
Thnx! First looks are simple and fast! I like it!
Only thing is that when I tap on the edit button, the app closes!?
thanks. good app

Isn't there an Intent on Android that launches a default image editor? On my usual Gallery, there is an "Edit" menu entry that launches Snapseed.
I was just thinking that launching an external editor would be an easy quick fix and then the internal one could be fixed later (or not).

OOSGallery is now part of Playstore; conversely to SnapdragonGallery it doesn't allow enhanced controls for video, has no libs symlink-ed, and like other gallery_apk, it provides embedded PhotoEditor's choice to camera_apk.
The weird thing is that on OOS github "darkware" :
- OOSGallery has "broken" PhotoEditor only, whereas SnapdragonGallery is working fine with a last modern embedded PhotoEditor version
- SnapdragonCamera is ok, with flash, but no 2x telephoto
- OOSCamera is working with 2x telephoto but with broken flash (and very 1st photo always void)
You can find some added (msm8998 / darkware) SnapdragonGallery libs, in post #7 , maybe some CAF devs can re-use them (?) ( @xdvs23 @joshuous ). I'm waiting for 4.5.8 update for more tests on darkware side.
(Nota : if some knows how to check, if a specific app is CAF optimized, please post info & link.)

Hi @oF2pks, why do you call it "Darkware"? What makes it dark? Looking at the OOS manifest, it just looks like you're building plain SnapdragonGallery directly from CAF. I'm not so sure yet what's special about it. Please correct me if I'm missing anything out

In fact I just built the complete github OOS rom.
First, I neither thought github OOS will build OK, but it does without any fixes AND with LLVM straight.
So I was naive to believe I could flash boot + system img on top of OOS 4.5.x : just bootloop; userdata.img has to be flashed coincidentally.
The resulting boot is what I named "darkware": a "stalk" aosp of H2O
- device Id : MSM8998 unrecognized by OPLaucher and no flash for OPCamera
- loose kernel
- outdated framework patched with recent fresh tweaks
- incompatible specifics with n-mr2 upgrade
- "tricky" complete fastboot_erase to recover a certified OOS 4.5.x
- *missing DRM Widevine
But the Snapdragon apps were real ok, and, for fun, I boot OK a patched OOS darkware with microG and WakelockBlockers : https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=745425885120751353
Instead of open sources, Oneplus did a full msm8998 (intrinsync-like) factory images compatible with OP5 inside chips (rescue rom img ?). I even tried an ugly n-mr1 manifest (attached) that sync ok, but breaks on bluetooth
Code:
enumeration values not handled in switch: INTEROP_DISABLE_HF_INDICATOR', 'INTEROP_DISABLE_PLAYER_APPLICATION_SETTING_CMDS', 'INTEROP_DELAY_SCO_FOR_MT_CALL
(I don't think all this can help you, but I'm waiting with impatience to fire VertexOS on OP5...)

Yeah the sources on GitHub are not meant for you to build a full ROM. They're meant for devs to pick core functionalities for the OP5, such as Dash Charge, NFC, etc.
And no one really needs the compilation fixes for the kernel as long as they know which make commands to use. Either way, the kernel compilation 'issues' will not pop up when you make a boot.img (packaged in the ROM) instead of zImage.
And VertexOS will come to OP5 maybe after Android O comes out. There's still some unfinished experiments to work on for the OP3
It works as a photo viewer on HTC U11 7.1.1 all stock.

[CAF Kernel] [10] Kang kernel For XZ2/C/P [OverClock] [52.1.A.3.49]

Kang kernel
By Sjll
Notice: Beware of bricking device!
This a new kernel for stock 10. It's aim to optimize the kernel and provide better user experience.
I had cherry-picked some commits from other SDM845 devices like M i8 and Oneplus 6T. So it's a fusion kernel, though I don't know whether these commits could improve our performance.
I share the source codes, so you could tweak the kernel by yourself. Ok, don't forget to share your work with us.
Download: Github
Note:
1. For XZ2, boot.img already included Magisk.
2 Internal problem is normal, ignore it.
CAF Version: LA.UM.8.3.r1-07600-sdm845.0.
Linux Version:4.9.206-r25-rel
Recommand to use EX kernel Manager
Feature:
1. GPU OC to 835 Mhz.
2. Thanks: Hide unlocked state from @j4nn
3. Qcacld wlan driver.
4. Remove useless drivers.
5. zram to lz4.
6. Increase priority of RT thread.
7. AVB flag removed.
8. WireGuard support.
9. Disabled some logs in kernel.
10. Newer CAF buff and Linux version.
11. Cpufreq and drm drivers optimization.
12. Schedutil optimization.
13. Energy model improved.
14. New I/O governor (Maple & Zen)
15. Blu_schedutil CPU governor( More Powersave ) Need to enable manually
16. IOsched optimization.
17. DTS eagle driver.
18. KLAPSE Color manager. Need EX kernel Manager
19. boeffla_wl_blocker supported.
20. adrenoboost supported, disable it by default.
21. etc..
How to flash:
HTML:
fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Vbmeta.img see Attach Files
If there is a dtbo.img, then:
HTML:
fastboot flash dtbo dtbo.img
I provide a new thermal configuration, see Attach Files, download it and replacing the same file in vendor/etc. You will get the full performance of SDM845.

It's the stock kernel
Completely incompatible with the SODP project
Thank you for this! I got a slight increase in Antutu benchmark score, especially in GPU and UX tests. Hide unlock status is also working, Sony started to send me updates for system apps. Been using for an hour and it's smooth af. will update this comment if I encounter any issues or other improvements in longer term.

You could upload the boot.img of xz2c. I need it. Because I don't want to download the whole FTF firmware of XZ2c. It's too large.

[TREBLE][A64][VENDOR] Project Treble v1.5 Ported to J710X

This is ananjaser1211's "Project Treble v1.5" ported to our device.
All useful information and instructions are provided in Downloads. Please take your time and read them carefully to ensure that you have an idea of what you are going to do.
Based on A600FNXXU3BSC5
Features:
- This is an A64 (arm32_64binder) a-only vendor.
- Very small vendor means more system space. If you flash SMOL Repartitioner you can have 2.9GB of system space!
- Powered by Kraken Kernel RC12 by @SPARTANICUS
Bugs (tested on J710MN with PHH AOSP):
- Stretched Camera at 1080p+ and HDR
- Whatsapp video recording (can be fixed, check downloads.)
This was ported to support Android 10 GSIs, Don't expect it to work nicely with SGSIs.
This is NOT an ARM64/ARM vendor!
There are some people who are flashing ARM64 and ARM GSIs and expect this vendor to boot it. It won't boot. This vendor is only compatible with arm32_binder64 a only GSIs!
Home and Recents button not working?
This happens in any GSI with gapps built-in. It is caused by a broken setup wizard.
To fix this you must connect to ADB and enter the following commands:
adb shell settings put secure user_setup_complete 1
adb shell settings put global device_provisioned 1
Or just flash OpenGapps on top of the GSI
Requirements:
- Oreo bootloader (J710)
- A brain and common sense
- Latest TWRP, I recommend OrangeFox

i did not work on this project, but since its ARM based, the isssues might be gone, i think he would have fixed the OMX issues causing camera and others to crash.
also good work , keep it up, glad people are making proper vendors again

If you want stability and some customization then try out Pixel Experience or Evo X would do.
but its up to you to choose what you want.
I myself use phh aosp with substratum themes.
i tested today .
no longer reboot problem Thanks.
but i have mic problem when voice call .
how i can fix it ?

I don't have this issue. I'm using J710MN Caller and I can hear each other. I think it could be a dual sim issue because I only use 1 sim
I will get another sim and confirm tho

This is not an ARM64 vendor and I think most SGSIs are ARM64
It's not ARM either

[ROM][A515F/DS][OneUI 3.1 - S20 Port] Just4Fun v1

HELLo everyone...
After several weeks, months and before Android 12 released, i decided to share this ROM to this A51 community. Hopefully you guys enjoy it and don't offend me if the ROM is bad, so....let's get it ON.
Things to do before flashing:
1. Make sure you're on binary 5 (this ROM tested and using binary 5 vendor, so to avoid any broken or whatever error flash your device with latest firmware).
2. Backup your IMEI (highly recommended).
Flashing:
1. Clean flash is recommended. Flash kernel, flash J4F vendor and system.img, flash multy disabler (if necessary) then full wipe and also you can perform "typing YES" format. Reboot to recovery again, then flash as usual you guys always do (Magisk etc.).
ROM Features from S20 and Note 20 line up:
1. Samsung Dex (not full features coz need fix at kernel level).
2. Flagship live blur
3. Flagship edge lighting style
4. AirCommand (S pen)
5. LiveDrawing
6. Multy screen resolutions (HD+ - FHD+ - WQHD+)
7. 1000++ system fonts
8. Flagship sound quality and effects
9. Camera features unlocked (pro video etc.)
10. All original A51 features
11. Common tweaks here and there and so many possibility to unlock another S20 features
Bugs:
Minor glitch in pro mode video, and not really remember and deep testing everything, but hopefully still acceptable (hopefully ) but yeah..nothing's perfect, if you found one let's discuss together in A51 telegram group: https://t.me/samsunga51
Hall of Fame:
@MrWaehere for his awesome CRB kitchen
@VDavid003 and his rom TreeUI for my inspiration and countless help
@Yillié and his OFox recovery and also countless help and advise and ideas
@BlassGO and his Dynamic Installer, patches, advise and countless contributions (thanks for making AirCommand even greater lol)
@manudinath and his projects.
@Winb33 for fonts mod
@topjohnwu for Magisk
@ianmacd for multy disabler and TWRP
Stock Kernel Source
PM me if i forgot to mention someone.
Advise and Tips:
- It's normal during first boot if lags occurs, give the ROM some times to settle, finish your setup, update your apps and you good to go..
- It's better to avoid update in Galaxy store related to system app, such as MDE Service Framework, Samsung Core Services etc. It might causing conflict due to mixed up firmware. But anyway it's up to you.
- Please do not complain regarding app missing (getting debloated) and related to debloat. Because it's very hard to acomodate every person's taste. Bloatware is very Objective and absurd for each person and I know it's supposed to be using Aroma installer or any script but i don't have time that much to do that.

[13] [23-05-09] Unofficial Pixel Experience 13 Plus for OnePlus 5/5T

NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY MALFUNCTIONS. MAKE BACKUPS BEFORE FLASHING!
Dirty flashing over previous OS version (~PE 12) may cause bootloop, clean flashing is recommended.
Formatting data partition to F2FS requires internal storage to be fully wiped!
Regarding KernelSU
- KernelSU module system is not (yet) fully compatable with Magisk's module.
- Installing Magisk over KernelSU-enabled boot image or vice-versa will make device not bootable. If it happens, just flash magisk uninstaller or reflash ROM.
- If you want to use KernelSU, flash boot-ksu_{ID}.img from the link below.

Original Post
Removed magisk and dirty flashed from previous build on dumpling but modules are not working with KernelSU. Installing them with KernelSU manager but module list remains empty even after rebooting. Tried with a clean flash and same result.
/data/adb/ksu/modules/ subdirectories only contains module.prop and an empty update file.
However, su and root privilege work as expected.
Is there something wrong with my device, KernelSU integration in this rom or KernelSU itself?
I can provide logs from KernelSU manager if needed.

KernelSU's module system is still in development, and it is changed to store modules in /data/adb/modules just like magisk. Each magisk module's install script might need to be altered a bit for KernelSU.
For more details of module system, check the wiki.

Works very well, updating from pe13
KernelSu's module function didn't work, I hope you can fix that in next build
--4/4
I created a pull request from my fork, it fix the module function.

For kernel <4.14, it requires additional patch for modules to work.

At what stage do we flash the flash boot-nksu.img file and how? I'm having some issues with the devices booting with the latest update and the latest magisk.

If you want to use Magisk not KernelSU, then
1. Flash ROM zip
2. Flash boot-nksu.img
3. Flash Magisk zip

Just upgraded from stock rom. So far, everything works fine and super fluid! Even the better compressed x265 video files plays smoothly on the phone, they was not with the stock rom.
But I have a problem with playing HDR video files. They are not bright enough even on 100% brightness and backlight, while the normal SDR videos are perfect. I used to play these video files from the internal memory with the stock rom, but they was enough bright. So this is something that the new rom changed.
*Tested with VLC and 2 other video players.

Solution: set HW acceleration in VLC from "full hardware" to "decode acceleration".
In this way the image brightness is perfect but the movie still fluent. On other players deactivating HW acceleration did result a not so fluent playback.
