I download cm 10.1 alpha 8 and i tried to flash it
when i install the file cm 10.1 from CWM recovery tell me :
Installing Update ....
Set_perm : some changes failed
E : Error in /emmc/CM 10.1/Cm-10.1-20130813-Experimental - ancora - alpha 8.zip

Did you change something in the updater-script?
Can you make sure you downloaded the whole file by checking its md5sum hash?
Also, you know we have a whole thread for discussing issues regarding CM10.1 issue, right? If not, then here it is.
I very like your HYD52ROMs, but my phone is China Mobile P6-T00, can't install the roms, no way, I will make some roms by myself.
I using the kitchen tools at github.com/dsixda/Android-Kitchen , but this tool is too old.
1. the split_updata.pl script is out of date, can't unpack UPDATE.APP.
I replaced it with a newer version.
2. finally, I pack the rom to *.zip, install it using TWRP recovery, but the TWRP can't read the zip.
the error message is: "Error executing updater binary in zip."
My TWRP version is 2.6.3.0.
seems the kitchen tools is too old?
what tools you using for build roms for Ascend P6? Tell me?
How is this related to development? And why you didn't send a PM instead of opening a new thread?

Unfortunately, above script does not work in case of Samsung Qualcomm (Snapdragon) devices running 4.4.2 KitKat stock kernel.
Fortunately @shazzl in post #438 suggested a very interesting idea to start run-parts using /system/etc/init.qcom.post_boot.sh
I tuned, nuanced and implemented this idea in real life by creating my add_initd.sh script. I have created also a CWM/MOP flashable file to apply this modification as simple as possible
Requirements:
- a rooted Samsung Qualcomm (Snapdragon) device
- custom recovery (CWM/TWRP) or Mobile Odin
- Busybox installed (every custom ROM should contains it, in case of (CF-Auto-)rooted pure stock - just install it using THIS APP from Play Store)

Installation:
1. Custom recovery (KNOX 0x1) - open file using "Install Zip" option and confirm "Yes - install..."
2. Mobile Odin - open file using "OTA/Update ZIP" option. UNTICK Everroot! This type of installation let you keep KNOX 0x0 if you still kept this flag (thanks to udating every ROM by Mobile Odin PRO only)
NOTE:
I tested it only on Galaxy Note 3 (N9005), but I think it should work on any Samsung Snapdragon device (eg I9505).
Installation should be safe because I've used safe mount command in updater-script:

I'm not sure about the update-binary, so please feedback if it works

Sorry? You have to have custom recovery which triggers knox.

I rooted my 4.3 with saferoot, upgraded to kk with mop and my Knox is 0 and my phone is rooted . And with mop and this script I can have init.d support without tripping Knox as stated by the OP. Will test at home

I have successfully created the auto porter tool for MM. Now you could use any Note 4 snapdragon rom.
What ever is functional in note 4 would be functional here too!

Steps

1. Download Note 4 Rom MM 6.0.1 of your choice.

3. Flash script according to your device from Interchage Roms Between S5 plus G901F MM, G906S, G906L, G906K.
4. Flash "MM-N4-AutoPorter-for-G906x G901F". Link given below
5. Reboot. It will take more or less 10 min.

i tried flashing your autoporter in my G906L Using Kykint TWRP 3.0.2-1 , but as you can see in attachment.
I tried just flashing without Rom and the issue is in your script.

Also about procedure you mentioned to flash your interchange patch.
Unfortunately it has G906 model number which might conflict with some note 4 Rom features. :good:

Didn't test it in G901F but you can try. Theoretically it should work. (You can use the porter zip only *MM-N4-AutoPorter-for-G906x.zip* ).
About corrupted SD Card I think it is related to SD card format type (Fat32, etc...).

I actually tested the port on g906s. For g901f and g906 k/L i just made a theoretical script. Hope it works, if not then Lets join hands together and correct the problem for our brothers in snapdragon 805 chipsets .
And Yes Jesse Chan & You are the real motivators and inspiration and i am just a copy cat with little brain and guts to try make things work. Hope people will benefit from my fiddling.:angel:

I am using kernel Su in nameless Aosp rom , got it from telegram. Flashed the kernel using orange fox and kernel Su is working . (Side loaded zip file )I am not a developer so please don't ask me anything about kernel .. for me it is working in OnePlus 8 pro. Please find the attached picture of the person posted the kernel Su.
