Hello,
After a few weeks with Nova, i have decided to give OneUI launcher another try. Now, it seems that there are no notification bagdes to my icons. I have checked the notification settings, and App icon badges are enabled. I have also clear cache/data on both OneUI and on BadgeProvider.
Under Notification Access i cant find OneUI or Samsung Experience Home in order to grand access to notifications.
Any thoughts? This is driving me crazy LOL

Hello
Just got the Note II. Love it. Upgrade from Note I.
One thing I cannot figure out. Yesterday when I was playing with it, everytime I pull out the pen, there will be an alert at the notification bar saying the S pen is in use or something.
However, whenever I pull out the pen now, that notification is gone. I want it back, do you guys know which setting I should be tweaking? I play with all the setting in the S-pen section. And it still does not work...
The walking away detector thing works and the S note pop ups...but I want that notification bar back....
Please help. Thank u.

Yay! Got it. Thank you!!! Totally did not know the page buddy thing was related. =)
Also, even with page buddy enabled that doesn't work if you use a third party launcher.
I use Nova, hoping I could still get the notification, and the shortcuts in the notification tray. But, none of that works after you reboot with the new launcher.

I'm on Nova also. Went to TW, pulled out pen to activate, went back to Nova and it was still working.

It will work as long as the TouchWiz launcher is running in the background. If you set Nova as default, when you reboot it will stop working until you open the TW launcher again.

Nuts. That's why it's not working for me.
I got a samsung galaxy s3 that has a widget called Assistive Light that turns on the flash light. I want to use it in zooper. But I cant find it in the list of 'Widget on tap Action'. Where exactly is it?
If its possible to use it, what code do I use in zooper to show that its turned on upon tapping it?
You have to use Tasker for that.

If you're using Nova launcher (probably similar process in other launchers) you could look under tap actions / shortcuts / (nova) activities.
Perhaps you'll find your shortcut there.

Just noticed there's no such shortcut for that flashlight app (installed it to have a look).
You could use TeslaLED Flashlight for this.

I tried.. but no use. Too slow to turn on.
Searched high and low today - is there a way to color the app icons, e.g., mail, sms, wifi available, etc., without using a custom rom?
I am using a rooted sprint g3 with tweaksbox and cobalts ui tweaks. Status bar looks cool until a damn notification icon pops up and we're back to the white icons.
Any tips or suggestions are appreciated. TIA!

Thanks for the suggestion. It fixed the battery issue I had after dl'ing cobalts status bar pkg for tweaksbox.
However, this app doesnt help me color the notification icons in the status bar, eg., mail, sms, wifi available, etc.

It must be fix it. Make sure you uninstall and disable previous app from xposed and reboot.

Im not sure I follow you. I have no other version of this app and dl'd the most recent. Unless you mean to say that I should uninstall tweaksbox?

Yeah I was talking about Tweaksbox. They are gonna crash inside the firmware and turn to default because they are not gonna overwrite each other. If colors are not change after you uninstall reboot and make changes with new app then it's not working for you. Also make sure you select LG roms option. I remember there is an option called I use LG Rom something like that. Good luck.

Thanks, again. I dont think theres a conflict here. The issue is getting the notificaton icons in the status bar colored. These are the mail, sms, keyboard, notification icons on the left and not the status icons on the right, eg, signal, wifi, headphones, locaton, battery.
Hmm maybe this? forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/flat-style-colored-bars-t2925521

Be the very first to post your home and lock screens!

Really? Why is this always the first thing anyone does when they get a new phone?
"Must post my screen for the internet to not care !"

The current beta of Nova (5.0.0b6) can do this now. I swipe up from the dock to reveal the app drawer, which I've configured to be a box with the most recently used apps on top.
Lockscreen is boring. Nearly pure black besides notifications.
My Home Screen helps me be a productive phone user.

What lock screen are you using? Since Ambient Display doesn't ever turn back on after the notification comes in, I'm looking for an alternative. I miss moto display already.
Google pixel launcher

Are you using a different launcher than OneUI? If so, you cannot use the Google nav gestures with it.
I think you have to have the gesture hints enabled

I had the same issue, and as Rajesh said, as soon I switched back to the Samsung ui from nova, the option was there.
