Hey Guys,
anyone here from austria, who get VoLTE/VoWifi on austrian providers?
I have been using the Pixel devices for a long time, unfortunately they are not officially supported in Austria.
That's why VoLTE and VoWifi do not work with Austrian providers.
Also LTE A/4G+ doesn't work imo, if i compare to my mate 20 pro, which i bought some time ago, via an austrian provider
Has anyone, VoLTE or VoWifi, at the pixel 3 can activate later, or it managed that it works with Austrian providers?
I know there is a thread here on xda, about activating those things, but only for Pixel 2/2Xl.
Haven't seen a workaround for 3/3XL.
cheers,
Chris
Late response but unless your carrier sells it, don't count on those features being supported. I helped find a way on the pixel for those of us in the EU. I also read and tried the pixel 2xl method on pixel 3 to no avail. I know which files need to be manipulated but any changes don't stick and unfortunately, diag mode on pixel 3 is damned near impossible. You can root and try do the pixel method and maybe mbn will stick if you use an American sim card but other than that, not happening. Sucks for us European folks

Hi All,
I was just looking for some assistance as I am interested in the dual sim variant of the HTC one M8.
I have been searching the web and can see that it is stated to have been launched. I have also noticed there are 2 threads here relating to rooting it.
The 2 questions I have are:
1 - Where can I buy one from?
2 - Would it be better to get the Chinese or European version to works properly in Australia.
I have also seen that there is another Dual Sim variant to be released next month that is marked as LTE-A. Is there any reason to wait for this variant or with mobile services in Australia I will not see any benefit.
Thank you all for your assistance and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Hi! I bought it from microspot.ch
I don't know which frequencies you are using in Australia but the advantage of the European version is the non-existing Chinese apps
Compare the stated frequency support to what your carrier uses in the lists linked below.

Thanks all.
Have you been able to root the Chinese one and remove the non existent apps?
So... It seems no real advantage between the Chinese and European version.
Does anyone know any details about the LTE-A Dual Sim coming soon?

I got in contact with microspot.ch and they will not deliver outside of Switzerland. Also, I do not think they have any stock.
Are there any tricks to get deliveries outside of the EU or does anyone know of any other places to try?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Does anyone know if a One Plus 5T cell-phone bought in the US can also be used in Europe with a European SIM card? I know some phones have issues if you use them in different countries from where you bought them. Is One Plus 5T one of those phones? Thanks in advance!
I don't have a 5T (yet) and have some similar questions about using the dual SIM, but I've done enough research on the various bands supported and available to be very confident that this will not be a problem. I know that my old Nexus 5 worked just fine for me in Italy a few years ago, and in general most unlocked GSM phones bought in the U.S. will work in Europe and vice versa.
There is only one model, so it will work without a probleem.
I'm from New Jersey, USA. I used Verizon all my life so I'm used to locked bootloaders. I'd like to finally experience not having to deal with that anymore. I'm buying it used. Do ATT, TMO block there bootloaders? I'm hoping to run PureNexus. Any advice would be much appreciated.

There are only 2 types of pixels xls AFAIK. One that was sold by verizon that has the locked bootloader and one that was sold through google that didnt have a locked bootloader. Verizon is the only carrier that sold the phone in stores in the US.

According to GSM arena there was 2 versions. Global (sold through google store) and USA/NA (sold through Verizon stores).

Hi,
thank you.
I found one finally and ordered it.
I think it is ok, it is from a major German supermarket.

Hi. I recently bought a G981B/DS from the UK for use in the US. I really like the S20 5G and needed a dual-sim phone. However, I have run into two problems:
1. 5G does not work in the US on this phone. I believe there is a problem with the bands. Is there a workaround for this problem, or am I screwed?
2. Samsung Pay on the phone appears to be locked to the UK. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling, but it just does not show US-based discounts or offers at all.
Can anybody guide me if any of these two problems can be fixed with software?
Thanks!
I bought a PixelWatch in Quebec, Canada and I am living now in Germany.
The official Pixel Watch docs list both countries as compatible lte countries.
I added a eSIM with Telekom to the pixel watch and the adding process did work, nevertheless I had no internet connection evetough the eSIM was displayed on the pixel watch and the Watch App.
After talking with Telekom support, I did a factory reset of the pixel watch also deleting the eSIM.
Afterwards I tried to install a new eSIM but now the Watch App is stuck on "Contacting Phone Carrier".
After contacting the Google Support, they told me that the Pixel Watch is Country Locked and you can only use a canadian pixel watch inside canada.
Is this true? If yes why this is not mentioned anywhere in the internet?
Does anyone know how to solve this issue?
Wish you all a great day
Khadim
