Hi.
In my phone (with stable MIUI global 10.3.4), auto brightness makes screen too dark.
In addition, the phone does not show status icons in status bar, but only the hour and alarm clock icon (even when it is not working).
What you friends offer me to do?
Thanks.

Bad autobrightness exist from the last 2 updates
You can try with 10.3.5.
In last 2 updates (.3.4 and .3.3) the brightness is very bug.
With my previous phones I wasn't quite happy with the automatic brightness and I used a simple app called YAAB which can be customized.
So far I haven't used it on my Redmi 7...
About the icons disappearing the problem is easily fixed with an app called Notch Notifications for MIUI by Andrea Zanini.

The best application for adjusting brightness of screen by easy way!
Brightness can be adjusted on any screen, means it can adjust while playing game, texting, playing media, etc. by simple scrolling!
Now users don't need any brightness widget any more.

I've tried. And it looks quite nice. Very customizable

Sometimes think are so simple ... thanks!
Thank you all devs for your great work!
As useful as this may be, it is really ugly and it is always present on the status bar. CM7 has a setting where you can adjust the brightness just by sliding across the screen. You can activate it in Interface tweaks- Status bar

Thank you for the port.
This rom is working very well. There are a lot of custom settings laid out in a nice and userfriendly layout, very nice! Only problem I found was that *front* facing cam seems to be stuck in some sort of "wide" mode, so my face was really long when in portrait, and more correct in landscape. And why remove "hold back button to force close app" -Solution: Edit hardware keys to holding back button-kill app. As in some other roms, there seems to be an issue when using auto brightness that causes the screen to use anything from seconds to minutes on waking up.
There are some advanced settings that are locked, probably because of our kernel (like changing Gpu freq and vibration). 13mpx cam working, focus works fine. Definitely one of the most well made roms I've seen!
Tested on E975intl
PS. Rom is very very similar to Beanstalk rom posted by ltelg, I've posted basically the same comment there. Carbon has a slightly better layout for the numerous settings IMO.
i wish someone can port this rom for my f180l,

He ONLY ports, no updates. He does put out new ports every now and then. But he doesn't post much to xda any more, Here you can find a quite new carbon port
This is a great ROM but have just noticed that the brightness must be set to nearly 100% to be a normal brightness. Is anyone else having to set their brightness so high ? Itdoes drain quite a bit of battery I have noticed.
Cheers, LL13-
Am I missing something here? I have various apps installed, such as Fenix, where I am using a darker theme yet the LG Nav bar is still showing as a light colour. I know that in the settings you can change the colour of the Nav Bar but there is no option there to have a dark nav bar to better fit with the apps. Looks silly.
Can't say i am that impressed with this phone as yet although it is early days, some very slow re-loading of apps sometimes, especially InBox email app even though I have asked that awful LG Smart Doctor app to not kill it...grrr...
Any tips/assistance gratefully received
Use nacho notch. It now has the option to keep the navbar dark.
Or get Navbar Apps, which allows you to set automatic or custom colours for any application

I found nacho notch to work more constantly vs navbar apps.
Hi everyone, my mi max 3 has just been updated to MIUI 10. The screen is huge, but the status bar is too small: it is difficult for me to read the signal strength, the battery power and even the notifications icons are too small. On MIUI 9 I bypassed the problem by using the lineage theme, but on MIUI 10 it doesn't work.. Is there a way to make the status bar bigger?
Testing various themes I found one compatible with Miui 10 that enlarged the letters of the status bar. The problem is that I kept trying and now I do not remember his name. Let's see if anyone can help us with this.
Finger crossed!
Try the theme P Cartoon MM. I use only the statusbar of this theme and it gets very good.
thank you for your suggestion, but it changes just a few....
1. pixel launcher crashes after I set it as default
2. If i have these status icons: sim1, sim2, wifi, bt, night light (led), nfc - i don't see app icons in staus bar for notifications - ie. gmail or sygic when downloading maps, etc. Not even notification light, only app "badge". In app permissions everything in notifications is enabled etc. And in settings apps & notifications also everything enabled.
And also in gmail settings itself everything in notification settings is enabled.
UPDATE: so after manually enabling everything for gmail in "app launch" I get notification LED, but status bar with the notch i just tragic and it is not showin, instead it is full of system icons, I guessed that after year of notched phones this will be sorted, but well I was wrong. That is huge oversight - thre should be options to display smaller battery icon and smaller dual sim and wifi icons, also eye care and dnd icons. basically all system icons should be dual row and fit into right part of the notch so there is space for actual notifications on the left.
You can use CPL instead of the Pixel Launcher.
It's way more customizable as the name (Custom Pixel Launcher) suggests and I haven't experienced any issues.
CPL also does not work, I think it is based on same source. I can get over the pixel launcher issue, but missing notification icons in status bar because of the notch are really what bothers me.
I thought all the notch hate was only for how it looks, that did not bother me, but now I also hate it.
