Anyone getting recovery mode randomly? - Nokia 3.2 Questions & Answers

So got this phone about a month back; working just fine and smooth with Android one.
Was charging the phone when all of a sudden it shuts off and then goes into recovery mode, telling me that data is cooperated so Android wouldn't load properly. 2 options given:
1. Try Again
2. Factory Data Reset
Option 1 seemingly fixed it but the issue repeated again (randomly) so had to factory reset (option 2). Working fine but wondering if the above had happened to anyone else.

My i927 started resetting every 10 seconds, suddenly

My Samsung Captivate Glide i927 (unlocked, OS is gingerbread 2.3.6, cant upgrade to ICS as I dont have unlock code) was working absolutely fine till early evening when I switched it off and put in on charging (battery remaining was less than 10%). After about 45 mins of charging, I removed the charger and switched the phone on. However, since then, the phone screen blinks white and then the phone is reset after about 10-15 secs max.
I had tried no OS upgradations at all, and the only non-market apps installed were the ones which are quite big in size (in Google Play). I did have quite a few games installed, but I never got any memory low messages or anything. My last installation was the game Jetpack Joyride roughly 5 days ago. The only thing out of the ordinary is that the app ADM (Advanced Download Manager) had been updated 3-4 times in the past fortnight, but I didnt download the latest update for it.
Also I deleted ADM and Battery Widget in the short time that I got between resets, as I thought both of them were installed in phone memory. But there was absolutely no improvement after doing that.
I did save data thru Kies, but even after connecting to the computer, the phone continues to reset, and so it is impossible to restore anything, at the moment.
So, is there any way to get the phone back to a working state?? Would really appreaciate any and all suggestions!!
If I boot into android recovery (power + volume down) there is an option to "wipe data/factory reset". Will my phone get locked again if I choose to do that??
The phone at the moment is bad as bricked at the moment, and I am starting to contemplate the pros and cons of doing a factory reset, or an upgrade to ICS. So my next question is whether I can flash the stock ICS from Samfirmwire thru ODIN or recovery mode (since the phone is completely stable in those modes?? And how??

HUGE slowdown for boot/flash/backup

I really don't know what happened, but all of a sudden yesterday my phone started to behave really strangely.
I turned on airplane mode and the little airplane icon never appeared. Turning it off didn't restore the cellular connection so I rebooted the phone, like usual. Since then:
- Reboots take 2x or 4x longer than usual. Sometimes it gets stuck on the boot animation and I have to turn it off.
- Flashing roms/gapps/kernel with TWRP takes forever. At least 4 or 5 times longer than usual. Sometimes TWRP reboots to system without asking.
- Restoring a previous known working TWRP backup took forever, and the phone had multiples FCs on first boot.
- A few times in android the screen just went dark. Pushing the button activates the button lights but nothing else happens without a reboot (which takes forever).
Besides reflashing the rom and restoring a backup I tried to wipe everything and reinstall the rom from scratch, but I still get very slow boots and occasional problems with the "dark screen".
Is there something else I can do? I've had problems with an external microsd before, but the symptoms were very different. Should I try to mess with the internad sd partitions or flash an official samsung rom with odin?
Btw I have a canadian I317m rocking Temaksek v40-41 for the past month without any problems whatsoever.

How to boot into recovery mode

i have a pretigio multipad 3270b. I was busy putting music onto my memory card when all off a sudden my screen went blank and when it came back on it was stuck on the prestigio screen the whole time. I tried all the button combination i can think of to enter the recovery mode.or clockwork mode to do a factory data resent but i don't seem to get into it, keep going to that one screen. I can get into the device at all. tried the reset button as well and still nothing. Please as anyone know how to get into that recovery mode or clockwork mode to do the factory data reset it will be truly appreciated. Thank you

Johan, I have a similar issue with my Huawei U8652 (2.3.6), I just removed the battery for a few seconds, put it back in turned it on and it worked as normal. But I too now can't do a factory reset now, phone works as normal until I turn it off and plug it in to charge or to the PC. Hopefully we'll get a solution to this, I'm thinking I may have to flash a default ROM but not sure how since my boatloader is borked.

[Q] Phone turns off automatically

I run a rooted SG S3 on stock 4.1.1 with an old 3.0.56 kt747 kernel
Until recently, I've been running this set up for years without any problems.
I've also updated fairly recent CWM along with the latest SU.
As the title states, my phone has been turning off automatically. After weeks of troubleshooting, I noticed a pattern.
When I press the power button, there are three different scenarios that happen.
The phone goes to sleep normally
The phone goes to sleep and immediately wakes up to the lock screen
The phone displays the shut off menu
If scenario 1 occurs, everything is fine and runs perfectly for an indefinite amount of time until i attempt to put the phone to sleep again.
but, if scenario 2 or 3 occurs, the phone automatically shuts down abruptly, within 1-5 seconds.
This problem still occurs even when I boot into safe mode, and I have eliminated the SD card as a suspect. Furthermore, booting the phone up has become extremely difficult. The boot would sometimes crash after the samsung logo, after the splash screen, or during the boot animation. It takes somewhere around 3-5 tries to fully boot up the phone.
Booting into CWM recovery is still possible, but even that sometimes crashes mid-way. I've also noticed that at certain times, when I click the power button to select an action in CWM, it actually double clicks (thankfully CWM is tolerant to that) and cancels the action I was trying to do. I've done some googling and found that an over sensitive power button is a common occurrence in this model, and while that may explain why the 3 different power button scenarios occur, it still doesn't explain the crash.
Finally, I seemed to have remedied the automatic shut off problem several times by wiping cache from CWM. When I first started having these problems and began troubleshooting, wiping the cache eliminated the problem for about a week before the problem came back. When it did, I uninstalled some apps and re-wiped the cache which eliminated the problem again for several days. However, these periods become shorter and shorter, and now wiping cache does not seem to help at all. I've also tried wiping the delvik cache, but it didn't help.
I'm stumped right now. Any suggestions would be appreciated before I try some more large-scale attempts such as resetting my phone or taking it apart. Thanks everyone!
This definitely fits more in your large-scale attempts category, but it is what I'd try.
I'd grab the stock 4.1.1 firmware from sammobile.com and Odin back to stock. You're fortunate to be on the old firmware, so you can Odin back to stock. When Odin completes successfully, pull battery don't let the phone reboot normally (untick auto reboot in Odin). Boot straight into the stock recovery and do a full wipe. Then reboot your phone normally.
Doing this will correct any problems that exist with your internal storage to the extent possible. If you've still got problems after doing this, it is probably a hardware issue.

Yeah, that's part of the reason why i didn't want to upgrade the bootloader for the newer firmwares. I messed around with my phone this morning and its been avoiding the problem ever since. Not exactly sure what I did though lol. Thanks for the reply, I'll try it if the problem comes back over the next few days.
Your phone isn't "crashing," your power button is malfunctioning. The fix is pretty easy. You will need to open your phone up and scrape it off (the phone can be turned on without it). There are youtube videos that show how to remove it.

Problem Hard Resetting phone

I have a sprint note 4 running kitkat.
rooted some tweaks installed. anyway phone has bee getting unstable lately and blutetooth for calling is dead. streaming music works but anytime I try to use bluetooth for calls it immediately disconnect phone bluetooth when I make or recieve a call and then reconnect when I end the call (WTF right??)
anyway finally broke down and figured factor data wipe time. reinstall clean.
so I backup all my stuff take screenies of anything I think I will need to remember etc.. move all data from internal to external storage etc..
I go into settings and click reset device.
it reboots says warranty bit recovery set and then nothing. black screen. intermittantly I can see the open chested android graphic with "install system update" flash on the screen for a split second. this repeats forever.
after 10 minutes of this I pull the battery try to start same thing.
I tried holding vol up home power for a manual hard reset
exact same thing. I seem to be able to boot into download mode but not recovery mode.
suggestions?
EDIT :
I see in another thread you updated to 5.1.1.
yeah that is what I ended up doing except I said screw it and just went to lollipop. working on setting it up now (it booted fine)
trying to install the stripped rooted rom but I keep getting an error in recovery. footer wrong signature failure.
Ah... No twrp. ?
