Cyanogenmod 10.1 RC2 on my GNex. Everything was working including USB and Wifi tethering which I use a lot. I didn't need USB debugging so I turned it off in the Settings. Now USB tethering is greyed out and I also notice that though I can re-enable USB debugging there's no notification that it is on (notification option is on) and adb doesn't see the device. On stock Android you don't need USB debugging for USB tethering but it looks like on CM you do.
I've tried different USB cables and PC's, pulled the battery, re-enabled MTP mode and rebooted. Wifi tethering is fine. I haven't done a reset (yet).

I connect the phone to my PC and the USB Debugging option is not available.
I have tried all connection types (Charge only, LG Software, Media Sync, Camera) and still the option is grey.
Tried this on 2 pc, of many different USB's and 2 different usb cables.
You must activate usb debugging before you conect device via usb to pc
I want to run Helium to connect the device to another phone or to my computer but it requires USB debugging turned on when connected via usb and USB debugging is grayed out in settings. Anyone know how to get it to turn on?
From the Developer Options screen, turn off Developers Options, then turn it back on. Now you should be able to check the USB debugging box.
Need to disconect the cable to be able to tap it.

Hello guys, i have weird issue on one of my devices. When i connect the phone to a computer, a PC or Mac, it shows charging in the notification bar and doesn't try to enter MTP or PTP, it doesn't detect USB connection.
The things that are still working:
- Download Mode (computer detects the phone only in this mode)
- Fast charging
- USB OTG
- Devices such as Gear VR, work fine.
Things that i have tried:
- Tried 3 different USB cables, 3 different computers and still i cant connect phone storage to a computer.
- ##3424# menu to change different modes (didn't help at all), tried everything including ADB, PTP, didn't help
Of course, i have many galaxy s6 phones and all them work fine in any mode like default mtp, or ptp, adb, etc. This one is detected only in download mode.
Also i forgot to mention that i did a factory reset and tried multiple stock roms from OJ7 to latest Marshmallow builds. Nothing helped. I really don't understand how everything works except mtp, ptp, adb ...
It doesnt change nothing, i already tried MTP, PTP, ADB, all the possible usb settings.
Hi, I broke my phone (Xiaomi Mi 9 se) screen, and I want to transfer photos but I cant do it because usb debugging is disabled. It is possible to enabled it from PC?
No bro, but if your device support OTG, you can try using Scrcpy-win64 to cast your device's screen to PC, then plugin the OTG mouse, use it to enable USB Debugging. That's the only solution due to my experience until now!
