30C. Figured. That's why I changed US998 Pie to 30c this morning... However I thought they would have September patch.
New features list
See attached
Man, just switch to Sprint too.

@JohnFawkes will make TWRP flashable zip as soon as KDZ hits in a couple of days.
What features on LG Pie do you need immediately, right now? Nothing, that I can think of.
"Use volume keys for Media".
Uh, I already have that on my rooted V30+.

Would you mind trying this link out? https://lg-firmware-rom.com/ it'll walk you through getting a kdz. I'm curious to see if you'd get a pie kdz because you're on pie. If so then it means kdz's are released by IMEI

This is exactly what I asked you not to do even when the thread was open.
Plus, she doesn't have the VS996 Pie Update yet. KDZ will be released in next few days.
She didn't close the thread because she didn't have Pie. She closed the thread because she doesn't need people bugging her.
It wasn't a real "development" thread, it was a "release" thread. Here it is, take it or leave it. You either want it or you don't. It was her personal module she was sharing with the world, when and how she wanted to.
She tested every version for days or longer on her phone before release. There were versions she did not release because they didn't pass her tests.
So when anyone complained X feature didn't work right on their phone, their comments were not only irrelevant for the purpose of the release thread, but also annoying. Her omnibus module works well on HER phone, and she tested it before release. Either go back to a previous version which does work or don't use at all.
Ideal scenario would be post Anxious V30 module release, lock the thread, post new release, lock the thread. No user comments needed.
The only problem is that would lock out people who had legitimate questions, not just people who don't understand she doesn't need feedback or testers for the personal module already running quite fine on her phone.
When she closed her thread she requested I take down all my AFH mirrors. So, people lost out on that vast past inventory also.
(If she ever opens it again, please do NOT annoy her with any comments about her personal module. ETA, feature requests, "bug" reports on YOUR phone, what you did to change her module and now it doesn't work for you, etc.)
____
Sorry for hijacking the thread to explain this yet again. It was stated over and over and over in the Anxious V30 thread.
Might as well post this here. Verizon is extending CDMA until end of 2020, instead of the much-stated deadline of end of 2019:
https://stopthecap.com/2019/08/01/verizon-delays-shutdown-of-3g-cdma-network-until-the-end-of-2020/
Verizon Wireless customers with older devices still reliant on 3G CDMA technology will be able to continue using them on Verizon’s network until the end of 2020.
The wireless giant confirmed this week it is postponing its retirement of 3G service for a year. The company had planned to switch off support for 3G at the end of 2019.
The company originally warned customers and its reseller MVNO partners back in 2016 that it would end 3G service on Dec. 31, 2019.

For people who are wondering the point... VS996 V30 has always had Verizon VoLTE on stock firmware. Even rooted stock firmware.
The issue for Verizon users is no V30 Lineage-based custom ROMs have VoLTE. So Verizon VS996 Lineage-based custom ROM users NEED CDMA to make phone calls.
So end of CDMA is the end of custom ROMs for V30 Verizon users, unless in the next year that issue is solved. The deadline has been extended.
However you can always run rooted stock firmware with Magisk (like Anxious V30 mod) and edXposed mods (like Gravity Box), and still have VoLTE.

How do you figure? VZ runs VOLTE on all modern phones (including the VS996) so they'll just turn off the 3G towers and the V30 will still work...? Hello my older Droid Turbo will work as well.

You can rest assured that if it were available there would be a version of it posted here on xda. When it is it will be on here within moments of the devs getting their hands on it or anyone for that matter.
Have you read the correct ones vause what ive seen says that us carriers wont start pushing anything till almost march
The Galaxy S5 got the lollipop 5.0 update in the USA. Thanks LG, while you're busy releasing the update for users in Nigeria, the enthusiasts in the USA are still stuck on KitKat... mine boggling......
Sent from my LG-D851
I'd not LG's fault. In the US the carriers test the software, have LG put their own software on the phone and then test done more. They are the cause if the delay, and with T-mobile they at have Wi-Fi calling so probably even more delay to test that.
Good to know, but I was wondering because I was going back to stock, but course leaving it rooted, but then there was an update. Was that the update that we're all waiting for? or is it just a minor update I think I saw something like 247MB don't know if thats correct but I was going to unroot my phone just to get that update, but thats not Lollipop right?
Alrighty then so... Thanks T-mobile....
Sent from my LG-D851
I think that tweet from LG USA was designed to put pressure on the carriers to hasten the release. Unfortunately for LG this may backfire on them. Most people think phone manufactueres are responsible for timely release of updates. US carriers need to add their bloatware and wi-fi calling in T-mobiles case to the new update. LG's part is done. Call your local branches and bug the crap out of them.
What is so great about lollipop? Xposed doesnt work with it among other things. I would not update even if it was available right now.

Just saw news , sprint is getting on Feb 16. We might get before that
So I flashed my phone back to the M version for our phone and did the OTA to R. It said the R update is only available until Feb. 10 so it'll probably be shortly after that.
Id think thay would be a fair assesment. So before mar 1 we could plan to see a roll out or at least definite word

I would think this means the update is hitting phones on the 10th or 11th. Normally they keep the old update rolling until they hot swap with the new one. I would imagine only hours of downtime for updates if they don't hot swap. Then again some people still haven't received the ota notification yet... Who knows?

And yet there is no ETA for lollipop on the S5 (as for T-mobile variant). Judging the ETA for update for the LG G3 from the update intended for another device from another manufacturer is very immature.
Don't get me wrong, I would want 5.0 on my G3 asap, but I just want to point our that that date is irrelevant, just as the post from AP I linked suggested.

Figures... Thanks for the link though
But no LG phones are listed, so it must be unlisted for a reason other than no update coming...
Nexus 6 isn't listed either. I'm pretty sure being omitted from that list does not mean the G3 isn't getting lollipop.
I am not quite sure as to how the LG G3 Lollipop update was left off of the list, but I am happy to report it is in the T-Mobile testing phase. And our testing is going really well. I will reach out to product development and try to get it added to the list. Thank you for pointing this out.

Could be, T-Mobile is the only carrier using IPV6 only on LTE (if I'm not mistaken). They could also have required VoLTE be working, so LG could be taking longer to make sure all this works. Still sucks that it's taking so long.

The answer is so simple...
There's developmental teams for each region and NOT all of them finish at the same time... The last responses shows how childish some people are. Some devices get finished on other carriers and some don't. T-Mobile isn't always the first and they are not always the last. You can say that with ANY carrier.
If manufacturers really wanted to fix this problem they should take away the carrier options they give them, and then have a single base phone so they only need to code for a single device(iPhone 6, and 6+ as an example they are all exactly the same). Of course device prices would get more expensive then people will complain how expensive they are while blaming the carrier for the prices.

The fact of the matter being LG had 5.0 in hand early to mid Q4 and many carriers were putting finishing touches on their certification by the end of the year. We are now 2 months in to Q1 and every carriers' update status has surpassed ours. When you say there are different development teams for each region I assume you mean domestically which makes perfect sense but isn't that a nice way of saying "we're not ready yet". I'm not one to usually ***** about updates because it makes things less enjoyable in most cases but I'm a little blown away. When I heard LG G3 was one of the first handsets scheduled to get lollipop I thought for sure T-Mobile would shine once more. I just need to modify my definition of "soon" because in T-Mobile's dictionary the definition is a month or more.
Congratulations ?! Official pie has been released for v35.

They won't release update to Q until they have released new 2019 and 2020 phones with Q. If you have Q in August 2019 on a year-old phone, you won't buy a new Q phone.
That's LG strategy for updates. You get Pie right before or while the new Q phones are being released. You're sure not going to get Q while new Q phones are being released.

Hello All,
I wanted to make a post on Updates and when OTAs release for the OnePlus 7T T-MOBILE variant. Currently we are on 10.0.3HD63CB. We can use this thread to state when our variant gets an ota or Android version bump.
Off topic is ok, but please try to keep it minimal.

TMobile is the cause of only being somewhat better at updates. I've converted my T-Mobile 6t to international firmware, and it has received approximately 11 or 12 updates in the 12 months I've owned it, including being update to Android 10 over the weekend. I'm considering the T-Mobile 7t but I sure wish that there was an easy way to convert it like there was in the 6t

Background:
At least two or three folks in this section have mentioned that if you have the factory unlocked Google Pixel 6 Pro, and you're using the phone on a carrier in the United States, that you shouldn't be using the December "SQ1D.211205.017 — US carriers" firmware, and that you should be using the "SQ1D.211205.016.A1 — “Global” (including CA, TW)" firmware.
This goes against logic for me and also turns what looks like a simple answer into a complicated one. As I try to keep things simple, and several other of us users believe you should use the firmware that's designated for the area you're using the phone in. i.e. If you're on a United States carrier, use the "SQ1D.211205.017 — US carriers" firmware.
In the end, any firmware should work on any phone in any area of the world, however, it may work better when using the designated one for your area as the firmware should contain optimizations for the radio.img to work with carriers in your part of the world.
I asked @NippleSauce if they could share the source of this information, and the following is what they shared. If anyone else has any more or different light to shed on this subject, please post here about it too.
NippleSauce said:
As for my information regarding the correct factory image to use, I don't have the links to where that information was discussed, however, it was stated by a Google employee on the Google forums and was also (I believe) discussed on Twitter from a Google rep. I may not be 100% correct on the other discussion happening on Twitter as I don't fully remember discovering everything related to the factory image confusion being that it was one of the first things that I had corrected after getting this phone. But, when I went to the correct factory image, a lot of the odd things that my phone would experience (such as an abnormally high usage temperature no matter what) were resolved. Perhaps the different P6 variants have a slightly different hardware design that isn't mentioned anywhere?

Actually received the December firmware update over the air - not manually flashed
You can find the firmware version you're on in Settings / About, at the very bottom "Build number".
Thank you for filling out the poll!

Only three responses so far, all for "SQ1D.211205.017 — US carriers", not counting the five "None - for those who accidentally answered and realized they shouldn't".
That is the answer I expected, and that has been my experience with all my previous purchased Pixels unlocked from the store. I saw the comments that you referenced in your OP and did not believe them to be correct.

Thanks! I'm always relieved to hear that something I always thought was simple can remain that way. I'm still hoping for some more responses, but it's only been one day.
just for reference, Im on AT&T.
had to manually start the OTA by mashing the check for update button, did not get a notification.
I am also of the opinion that you should (if you were to sideload) use the correct version for your circumstances. IE: the carrier version if you fit that criteria, as opposed to the global.

Thanks! At least mashing the button versus waiting for a notification shouldn't make a difference about which version you get.
It's interesting that one person who answered the poll on a US Carrier with the factory unlocked Pixel received the OTA to the Global version. I wonder what carrier they're on?

No, its the same mechanism to get the file. The method will make no difference. Was just pointing it out as many never got a notification and obviously never got the update manually as it was halted pretty quickly. Was just dumb luck for me as I happened to check and got it.
I'd be willing to bet they didnt get the international version (sideloaded it), or maybe they are roaming here and got the file for their home region. I'd bet it is some weird edge case and that its not truly an unlocked device actually registered to a US carrier.
I wonder if the global version would help US models.
I doubt it. I'm not sure if anyone has a complete dump of all the different firmwares.
I am one of the ones that have a P6 Pro on the Global version which was automatically pushed to my phone here in the US. I am on MetroPCS which is owned by T-Mobile. Not sure why this version was pushed but it showed up on December 14th.
I see 2 votes there now so there must be another person with the same version as me that also got it.

Thank you! It's very interesting, indeed. I hope the other user who answered sees this and responds with their details as well.
I am curious now what version I will get for the January update. I would hope there would not be significant differences in battery life/performance (not that I notice any performance issues). But yea my battery has not been the best in general.

I might just have to take another poll after the January update since I would expect more folks will receive it, so we get a better idea.
my cousins got verizon pixel 6 pro and said they received december update

I do see the info below at Google Pixel Update - December 2021, so I guess it's not completely unexpected.
Note: Users may either receive the global version or a regional specific version depending on their carrier
