Apparently Oppo is trying a new approach with software, and have recently released a beta that people can sign up for to try Lollipop, made by Oppo, for their devices! Check it out at http://www.oppoforums.com/threads/would-you-like-to-have-a-taste-of-lollipop-on-your-find-7.25945/ .
I haven't gotten it yet, so no word on performance, battery life and the lot, but it does support Unified Storage, so that's a good thing!
There was a leaked link which I was lucky enough to download and its dam good .with oppo camera and max audio its would be a dream rom
Users with the newer screen is still having problem with installing that version.

Hey, i can tell you that the dream came true I have installed the Maxxaudio and Oppo camera ported on CM12 and it works great on this AOSP build on my Find 7. You can dl them in these threads:

Both are working for me and I just downloaded the Apks / plugins and installed as normal app. I am not rooted, and i flashed the rom with the Oppo recovery as well. Any idea what is going wrong for you...

You're right ... Wich version did you installed? Mine is V3, the first in the post. I tried the other V4 but same result.
I think this is because i couldn't flash the ZIP directly via the recovery it says "installation failed". So i have extracted the ZIP file and run the APK in. It must be a partial installation via this way.
Finally i installed TWRP and rooted the device now I can flash by the recovery and it is good:

I got the camera installed and went with viper because even with maxxaudio it sounded tinny.
Had to full wipe and reflash to get all working .
Xposed is working fine as well.

Just saw that this morning! I'll be trying it out after university today.

It's fast and smooth, no bloatware, good memory management, apps dont get killed.
- However, some users reported connectivity issues in China.
- When using non-English language, some apps may FC.
- No 4K recording, No Ultra HD mode on Camera.
I've had a quick tour of it, everything seems good, no problem for me so far
Just curious... Thought I might try this so I can better customize this awesome phone.

don't see any problem as i just flashed it on my mi 5 anodroid 7.0 (until my mix 2 arrives from gearbest)
see here for more info.
it should work, at least most of the modules.
Tried flashing all different types of xposed with no luck. This phone needs SDK 25.

I even tried with xposed for miui9 with sdk25, got stuck on booting. So no joy yet.
I was able to boot with the purify SDK 25. It was recognized in Xposed but it was not active.
I tried the official nougat release (88.1), it still says "xposed is installed but not active"

Hi Guys,
Tried to install the official SDK 88 to MIUI Epic ROM. Result was : phone booted but XPosed reported that "it is not active".
I then tried to install SolarWarez's version 25 of SDK 87. Result was : bootloop
I even tried to install several other version, like Magisk. No luck.
I really would like to see SolarWarez patching sdk88, but he seems to have vanished.
I think I found a post time ago where SolarWarez explained what he changed to the original patch and it seems it was not a lot.
But I really hope he will show up one day and patch sdk88...

Bluetooth Audio and many more bugs!

There are not too many bugs. Just a few like all custom ROMs. I have gravitybox installed and many of those mods work nicely

After some research, here's what I found out.
It is not possible to use XPosed with MIUI 9 from version 7.9.21 and up.
But Xposed works quite nice with the 7.9.14 version.
You will need to get the specific Xposed for MIUI version offered by PsyMan.
It wil then run and most modules, except the ones requiring a slightly modded GUI will work I think...

Ok, so, I gave this a try, but with 7.9.8 (linked in my previous post).
After flashing supersu (or magisk) and the xposed I found here (I'm assuming this is the one you used?)

Hey guys, I just wanted to know does Z2 play supports Google camera with portrait mode?
I tried few apks but not even one is getting installed.
I'm using GCam-5.1.018-Pixel2Mod-Arnova8G2-V8.3b1.apk. Can't post the link to the site as I'm new here and the forum won't let me, but you should be able to find it by the filename.
It's based on Google Camera 5.1.018. I haven't had any luck getting newer versions to install, but that one works fine, including Portrait mode, Lens Blur and Photosphere. I had to disable video stabilisation, otherwise video recording would crash. If front camera gives a green tint, there's a setting to fix that in Advanced -> Fix Camera API2.

Do you have an older version of Google Camera installed? If so, try uninstalling it first. Also, are you on Oreo? Many GCam ports seem to require at least Oreo and won't work on Nougat.

Gcam mod it doesn't work on 32 bits. You need custom 64bit roms

I've only had my Z2P for less than two weeks, but it's been perfectly stable so far. Can't really compare with stock ROM because I flashed it to LOS on day 1.

I think, I have tested all available gcam 32b versions. These are two versions that work well - everything they offer.
GCam_3.1.025_SerJo87_nullpoints_maxbuff_N6P_v1.apk - this works without making unnecessary settings.
Gcam3.2_f3.4_v3_x0.6-s_A_X_v0.3_front64.apk - in this you have to make some changes in the settings and it gives very good results. This one is my main camera.

What settings exactly? The video works fine for me on GCam 3.2 but camera is just black screen.

Also tried to install the one from 4pda, which is 6.1 gcam I think (others are like version 3 or 4, really outdated) but won't install... Anyone could install that one, from 4pda? Also, different subject: the 16gb version has only 8gb real to install stuff, as the other 8gb are for system. Any way to make default installation of apps to the sdcard? Or with lineage or havoc will I have the option? Not rooted yet, but no problems if I have to in order to have more space... After some apps, just 1.7gb left... Thanks to all!! Cheers.

If you installed other than v3/4 then you have broken gcams and therefore you think that stock works best.
So the gcam v3.1.0 mod is the only version that works ?

my current version of the app (4.1.2 - 20200509) on Android 10 (should also work on Android 9 too)
If the 'Ultra Battery Saver' option doesn't show up download 412 variant, you can try both one of them should work (make sure to uninstall the previous version first to try different variant)

Yes, 20200509 version should work.
We actually have two Variants of the Version 4.1.4
one is 20200509 & other is 412 you can try both, if Ultra Battery Saver option still not showing uninstall the app update from app info of your Security App & try different version, one of them should work for you
Ultra battery saver doesn't show up when I installed this but I noticed improvement on the battery optimisation so I'm still thankful that you shared thus tip. Thank you..

Did you try both versions, Try version 20200509 and then 412 if it does not work, make sure to reboot after installation before checking.

Hi, you need to uninstall the previous version first to install different variant, you can try both variant by uninstalling the app previous update first.

I'm afraid that my phone will be bricked hehe though the battery in the latest update is more optimized.
Do you guys have noted that after using Ultra Battery Saver mode, contacts synchronisation with Gmail is switched off and no contacts name is shown in Calls section ans Messages. Any Solution to this?
