He probably means the motion gestures. Which aren't gonna happen.
Is there any app available that can be used for custom gestures using the fingerprint scanner
Finger Scanner Gestures
Hi V20 users!
One of my favorite features on the Honor 8 is that the fingerprint sensor is also a button that can be mapped to whatever you want. I've found myself very reliant on it as a flashlight toggle, and dread losing it when I get a new phone.
The V20 fingerprint sensor looks just like the Honor 8's, but I've seen no mention of a button build into it. Does it have one?
Has Honor included that feature on any of their phones since the 8/8X?
Thanks!
I don't know about flashlight, but it does support gestures on FP sensor like swipe down for notification pane, you can also use it as a shutter etc.
The Honor 8's Settings has a section called "Smart Key", where you can map apps to a Press, Double-press, and press and hold of the fingerprint button. Anything in the View 20's settings like that?
There are ony sections for "touch and hold" and "slide".
Here's a screenshot.
Hi guys,
Is there any way to add fingerprint shutter support in stock camera for selfie ?
My Note 8 is rooted.
Hi,
I have just moved to Samsung M51 from my Moto G5S Plus device. Though i am loving M51 but i am missing my moto gestures in M51 like pick to switch on screen, shake to switch on flashlight, taking screenshots with 3 fingers and locking phone by touching the sensor again while the phone is on. Can i get these in my M51? I've tried few apps from google playstore but those are nowhere close to the features in Moto.
Thanks in advance for your help!!

I am really missing those features too. Coming from my Moto Z Play.
Best option I found so far is to configure the flashlight to left/right swipe on the lock screen. However not comparable to a simple phone chop gesture.
On the Moto Z Play I also loved that I don't even have to pick up the phone to activate the always-on screen to check the time or notifications. I just need to hover with my hand over the screen. On the M51 I can tap the screen (once to show always-on screen with time + notifications) which is "OK" but not at the same usability level as the Moto.
Since my phone usually is in a phone cradle I also preferred the front-mounted fingerprint scanner which allowed me to unlock at a fingerpress and to re-lock with immediate screen off by touching the sensor again. On the Galaxy I need to press a side-button which is less accessible.
