Hi there , I've been reading about debloating other Xiaomi devices using ADB commands like:
Code:
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.xiaomi.midrop
I have two questions regarding this procedure:
- Has anybody managed to debloat its device with this method?
- Will those uninstalled packages come back in a system restore or are they forever gone until manually recovered?
Thanks.
Hi. I use this method to debloat Muiu and AOSP Roms. It's very efficient.
Can't tell about restore from backup but if you reset the phone, you'll need to do it again.

Do you mean that apks will come back after the reset? Have you experienced it?
Not after simple reboot, but if you factory reset the phone it will be reinstalled.
You can also use xiaomi adb/fastboot tools.

I found a guide around here before about how to remove system apps. Ive went through a couple of guides but cant seen to find it again. In the guide it had something along the lines of adb shell, the mounting the apps folder then removing them some how. Can anyone link me or know how to remove these apps such as friend stream. Thanks
under what circumstances are you trying to remove them??
i would advise a permroot, titanium backup and also about an hour, which apps do you want to remove?
Im fully rooted, s-off, recovery and all installed and i did remove the amazonmp3 app before but cant remember the command lines to do it
thanks
as far as ADB goes for me, im not too sure, unfortuantly,
i used the above method, and with that i removed all the bloatware i didnt want. i have S-Off , permroot and various other bits,
as you can see i cam from the X10i background and we didnt do a lot of custom roms and other bits there.
Thats ok, i tried using titanium backup to remove but didnt work for me so i was looking through these forums for the adb command line code, hopefully someone knows it lol
on titanium backup, you need to press the app you want to tremove for a while then itll bring up another menu, you need to do the recovery exploit uninstall, that will remove the app PERMANENTLY
give it a try youll see what i mean
SystemApp Remover is excellent, requires root.

you need to s-off before you can remove apps from /system while booted, you could always use the rm /system/app/xxxxx.apk command from recovery using the sdk
Back again, i have managed to get it done with Titanium (forgot to turn on debugging), the only one i cant see in there is car panel.Would this be under a different name or is there a different way of getting rid of this?.
Hello, my phone is Xiaomi Mi5s Pro (4/128gb variant), global stable rom, which atm has no screen assembly attached (phone dropped in liquid, managed to recover most of it, just the screen died) which is a bit of a problem- cannot really access recovery (or can I?) I'm controlling the phone through vysor app, unlocked bootloader. Now the issue- I rooted the phone a month ago, installed some apps and disabled few things through titanium backup (including few system apps which I need back, to backup my data for transfer to a new phone) and a week later the root got disabled after an OTA update, I tried rooting by flashing few different versions of supersu- no effect, I have no access to the recovery now anyway.
the question remains- is there any way to enable those apps again other than hard reset? I wanted to try the adb method, but this one also requires root, mayby there is a way of installing root through adb fastboot?
Any help apreciated :good:

Not an expert but if you have premium version of Titanium Backup just freeze them through it ( Myself did that)
Hello friend thanks for your advice. I was thinking about paying it, which root do you use? I can only install magisk 16.0
Boot into twrp and remove oem. I did the same and now not a single bloatware.

Thank you friend I tried it but nothing changes. But I now bought Titanium Backup Pro and installed Magisk Root, I can be able to Freeze all annoying Sprint services. Thanks everyone.
Does anyone know of any method to delete OEM apps? in sprint rom you can not delete OEM, because you lose all sprint functions ... no? I have tried to delete the apps, delete OEM completely and always stay there. You can install the firmware without OEM but sprint does not work ..
Would you believe I still need help with this same thing in 2022? Found myself back in my moto z2 force. Guess it's time to actually buy mods. Does anyone understand why system app uninstalls are so hard? I flashed att not sprint, I'm in a similar situation to the OP. For the most part I can use a debloater magisk module from Fox's Mmm, but that's similar to titanium as far as them not actually being gone. There are even more apps that debloater can't see for some reason.
Hi I have recently brought a TCL 32ES568 tv and want to know if it can be rooted, I want to remove some pre installed apps and install others that are not compatible with it.
Any help would be very appreciated.
i suggest you to try a bit with ADB before thinking about root. you can disable or install many apps with adb.
you can deactivate a lot of system apps or non removable apps with "pm"
