Rate this thread to express how well you can see the Moto Z4's display outdoors. In case you've been playing Minecraft for 18 months straight, you might not known how to get outside anymore. Well, find the door and walk through it. A higher rating indicates that it has very high maximum brightness and thus fantastic outdoor visibility in direct sunlight.

Just got Moto Z4 yesterday. Used today outdoors - difficult to see screen in bright sunlight, seems dim and lots of glare. Definitely my Galaxy Note9 is brighter outdoors. I can barely rate it as 3 Average, compared to other phones I have used. That being said, I otherwise love the phone compared to the Note9, because of the nearly pure Android experience, with only useful extras (Moto Actions), no stupid duplication of essential Android apps!

Easily visible outside with just 40-50% brightness so with max brightness it looks very bright even in the blazing sun!

Yes, screen is not bad in sunlight. Perfectly useable.
Screen is bright.. But it could be even more brighter.
Screen is bright and vibrant. Also I cant make out any pixels - even with my glasses.

I was not expecting the outdoor brightness to be as good as it is. Blows my previous phone (LG G3) out of the water.
Much easier to see in brightness outside than my Nexus 6P was!

Actually not that impressive. My Redmit Note 4 can be brighter. It's still perfectly readable though, but you do need to turn the brightness all the way up on a sunny day, to have a chance at seeing it.

I deleted my post because it wasn't right for this section.
So I went outside and compared both my HTC U11 (482 cd/m²)* and S20 (745 cd/m²)* in sunlight and full brightness (and auto-brightness on) and I have hard times with the S20. It is clearly darker than the U11 like there is a grey haze on the S20. How can this be?
