Hi guys I am new to this forum so if this thread is in the wrong section I apologize.
I have Samsung galaxy J7 2017 phone (SM-J730F). which I bought carrier free-unlocked from a seller in Croatia.
Unfortunately I was stupid enough to fall for the OTA update and installed Oreo on it, after that my phone's battery
life was cut in half and apps started hanging and crashing. I wan't to revert to Nougat, I have tried to flash
two official ROMS downloaded from updato and sammobile but it fails every time. Yes I have tried
multiple usb ports, cables and etc. Problem is I can't find the carrier free ROM for CROATIA on neither updato nor sammobile
and I downloaded south east europe rom which doesn't want to flash. By browsing through multiple pages
I found that the problem might be in the bootloader version, Oreo has higher bootloader version and doesn't
allow flashing a rom with lower bootloader version (which I havent checked). Please guys if someone could help
me with this, cause oreo is driving me crazy and basically making my device unusable. I'd appreciate it if someone could provide
links and tips or walkthroughs. Thanks in advance

I have an S9 model SM-G9600 Snapdragon unlocked and I want to ask the following:
1. that other official firmware of other models are compatible with my device
2. is there any official Android 9 firmware that can be installed?
Official Firmware Update Available
Check if there's any update for the SM-G9600 variant. I just got the Pie firmware update via OTA for that same device.
Just received notification for One UI Android Pie update. Phone model is G9600 Snapdragon.

Got OTA Android Pie for my SM-G9600 yesterday, like 21pm, finally xD

G9600ZHU2ARD3 is the oreo version
always make sure you're in the OWO or OWE or the chinese csc, you don't want to soft brick your phone, I flashed the TPA csc about a week ago, now they're releasing 9 for the ARO csc
Hello guys,
I recently bought a galaxy s9 due to it being cheaper now a days. Now, the handset is still on august 2018 patch. There are no new updates available as well. I tried to do a bit of research and found that flashing a rom will be worthwhile. However, the thing is - I have never used a Samsung device before. As such, I am overwhelmed by all these information about CSC, Model number, Build etc etc.....
My device is a SM-G960F, exynos chipset. Service provider is BNG/BNG/XEU. I want to flash one ui on it without much trouble. I have a little experience flashing Oneplus and HTC devices, so the methods are quite known to me. Can u guys help me find which roms are compatible with my device and all that? TIA <3

Sammobile.com
Instructions under the download for the firmware
Instructions literally all over this forum too
Choose G960F and whichever region you want, your phone is originally XEU (United Kingdom)

Does that mean I should only use XEU roms? Or can I use any other rom other than XEU?

As I said, pick any region you want, XEU is just the original region of your phone
OneUI comes with Pie, and if you flash one with the June update you'll get the new camera night mode and selfie live focus goodies
Doesn't really matter which region you flash, I often switch between DBT (Germany) and XEU (United Kingdom) as DBT releases updates faster

Thanks a lot bro!!!! U just eradicated my confusion xD
I just acquired a new unlocked Galaxy Note 10+ SM-N975U1 a week ago from the Microsoft Store. I got it working on the T-Mobile network without issues except for firmware upgrades. The device automatically downloaded & installed about 5 upgrades but stopped when showing:
Software update information:
Current version: N975U1UEU3CTC9 / N975U1OYM3CTC9 / N975U1UEU3CTC9
Security patch level: April 1, 2020
From what I can tell, this seems to mean that I am running Android 10, but not OneUI 2.5.
I'd like to flash a later security patch level and get the OneUI 2.5 update. Is SamMobile.com the best place to get the latest firmware? If so, should I choose the latest "USA (T-Mobile (TMB)" option even though this is not a T-Mobile locked device? Or, is there a better option to select?
Thanks in advance.
So I just bought used Galaxy S20 Ultra but the firmware is stuck at One UI 2.1 with latest update in June 1, 2020. When I want to update manually it say my CSC code is XAA/XAA/VZW. I googled and found that's Verizon unlocked device. The problem is the only available firmware in https://samfw.com/firmware/SM-G988U is VZW and XAS. If I flashed using VZW firmware does my device going to get carrier locked or should I choose using XAS? I live in Asian so obviously I don't want VZW locked.
bump. can i bump this post?
