Hi, it is important I need to unlock my bootloader and get root access and I just am not familiarized with this.
I just want to install the App F-LUX to change my screen color but it currently looks it
needs root permission.
Can someone help me to root or to indicate me a tutorial?
I am a little bit afraid of rooting is there a brick possibility
Thanks
Model LM-G710EMW
Depends on your model.
Europe is easy.. Just use official unlock from lg and install magisk.
If not EU model then u have to take som risk and u loose fastboot
using octoplus you might unlock your phone and get fastboot. If you're not careful you can brick but if you do, you can unbrick your phone with octoplus and flash a clean kdz. contact @octoplus on telegram, he'll help you depending on your model and all. It should be around 15usd but it's worth it.
Thanks for replying.
I couldn't find octoplus on Instagram. Do you think for a newbie player is it worthy to pay for someone root my device?
My LG G7 is LM-G710EMW from Brazil.
How can I proceed?
Edit one more thing: Can someone with LG G7 rooted test and install the App F-LUX and see if that works in lg g7 for please
Remember that if u root u might loose access to tor bakning apps and maby googel pay and so one.
Magisk hide is always one step behind and aventualy googel might just lock down root

He is on telegram, not instagram. I will install flux tonight after my classes and tell you. For 15$ I would say yes. He can root and give you fastboot to use adb commands in 30m.

Can i root my lg g4 with this version? And how?
Sure. Perfectly. At least two different ways. If you do not need and care about device encryption just search for the low effort root in this LG G4 Forum original Android Development. Search for a flashable 10C rom.
If you need device encryption, go to LG unlock your bootloader officialy, flash TWRP and flash su.
Thread for this is right here in General G4. Called complete Guide to unlock & Flash H815 or similar.

Hi, unfortunately this happened to me (more than once) when I tried rooting the first time. You'll need to download the stock image files and the LG Flash Tool to start over from scratch. I'd link you but I don't have enough posts yet to be able to.
The trick is to make sure the rooted image file is over 4 gigs when extracted, I ran into issues multiple times where the download got corrupted along the way and ended up being a few hundred meg. Keep trying and once you get the right files the Low Effort Root is amazing.
Good luck and if you need any more help please let me know!
so i just bought an lg g4 device in georgia (not the state the country) and the reseller told me that it is the korean version i have been reading the thread for rooting lg g4s and i couldn't find the file for my device which my device is LG-H815P then i also read that you can flash the existing file the h815 without the p and it will work fine hoewer there are multiple files for thhis model ex:german, european and etc
soo which one do i flash?
Please follow this guide here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/orig-development/root-tmo-vzw-intl-variants-soon-root-lg-t3164765

The basic gist of it is:
1. Create an image of your system partition
2. Modify the image using a linux PC to add root
3. Write the modified image to your system partition
Or:
1. Download a system image someone else has already made
2. Write it to your system partiton
The modified image works without a bootloader unlock because the kernel itself isn't being modified.

I have done some searching, and it seems I already have my answer to root, but I will ask anyways as nearly all threads are at least a year old.
I have an LG G4 LS991 running Android 6.0, Hardware version 1.0, provider SPR. It seems I do not have, and likely will not ever have root, but has anyone come across any way to achieve this?
Also, I have an update that I need to know if it is worth running, or if I should delete it, in hopes of root. If deletion is the answer, how do I go about doing this?

1) NO, probably won't work on our V30. Runs on Lollipop, and here's no custom Recovery. Most V30 are up to stock Pie.
2) No we don't need and and don't want it.
Every V30 on the planet can be Bootloader unlocked and rooted.
Why would you need another way to root?

* It probably won't work and even if it does...
* you probably won't have DTS Surround Sound nor LG camera fixes which both came with later Oreo.
It's up to you, your phone.
If you do really want a root access without losing warranty or bootloader unlock counter goes up. There are plenty virtualization apps which emulates root access, or even xposed system without altering your actual system. I saw on YouTube, someone using that to cheat pubg mobile. You can find that by these keywords: "pubgm cheat no root" or "pubgm cheat virtual"

With REAL root available for ALL V30 variants since mid-2018, I confess I don't really understand why this thread was even started in October 2019 (over a year later) -- or the discussion is still ongoing now almost 2020...
Before mid-2018 only those V30 variants (H930, H930G, secretly Open Market US998 -- but only the 64GB variant) approved by LG could have bootloader unlock code and thus root, but thanks to people here on XDA, ALL V30 can have root. We don't need some "fake" gimmick like this. Maybe for other phones something like this is OK, but all V30 variants can actually be bootloader unlocked and rooted.

I'm going to borrow this for my guide. I'll give you credit. Mine works. So weird, two identical phones, one I patched the zipped img, the other I unpacked the img and patched. I have the scatter for 6833 if anyone needs it. File enclosed as well as a few other tools and files I needed to root my revvl 6 5g, you should be able to do the rest on your own. Make sure when you are using mtkclient that you back up your preloader above all things in case you mess up. Your scatter will save your hide as well. I've also enclosed mtkclient bypass tool and the 6833 payload you will need as well. Good luck, and credit to Hovatek, and bkerley for their respective tools. If using sp flash tool use the enclosed scatter and the DA_allinone file for the other.

Hey, I'm trying to complete a guide for the revvl v+ 5g. Other people are reporting issues and we're trying to resolve it. We could use your help over here https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/root-flash-stock.4541841/ thanks in advance. Btw, I have that scatter already. It was weird how I got it, though. I found the source code somewhere, I just copied the text and removed the quotation marks and saved it in notepad. Spflash gave me trouble and I had to tinker with some things and bypass DA. But it worked. I thought it'd work for everybody, but now spflash isn't working for some folks, but then we found the newest version. It's not on the official site :/ but now some folks can't get back to stock even with correct files and firmware. I have at least 3 guys dead in the water. Any help would be appreciated. I know you have a life and all, but if you get the time

Hey, I'm trying to complete a guide for the revvl v+ 5g. Other people are reporting issues and we're trying to resolve it. I don't know how much I can help; I'm little more than an amateur with an engineer type of learning capability and a tenacious drive. I suck at teaching, but will take a look at the thread anyway, because on the way to rooting a treble based a/b partition with tamper evident ro.props, plus having bricked my device 9 ways to Sunday, there's some possibility of being able to offer some assistance. See you there man.

You're definitely more knowledgeable than I am, it seems. Thanks
