Hi! I am trying to root my razer phone but my laptop doesn't seem to detect my phone properly. It's the first time I encountered this error, never happened to my previous phones. Can anyone help me please?

So I have 5 days in research and trying to fix my LG G2 LS980 at first.
I wanted to install CM11 on my LG G2 tried and used the autrec for the recovery. After rebooting my phone it started up in fastboot mode. I attempted to get past the fastboot mode by using the method to flashing img files into it. After I had done so, I restarted my phone and it made the issue even worse. My phone now did not show anything on screen it was turned on, but it was black. I followed this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142
When I installed ubuntu on a fresh HDD I was getting them 15 drives but when I typed in lsusb it did not return the drive for my phone but I was able to follow through that guide all the way up when I pushed the file for sbl1.img from the stock files of ls980-ZV8 here: http://downloads.codefi.re/autoprime/LG/LG_G2/LS980/Stock_Firmware/zv8_partitions Once I did that, I lost connection to it with ubuntu. At this moment the screen does not even turn on, but I have been able to get some communication between my windows 8.1 and it only shows as " Unknown Device: Device Descriptor Request Failed"
That is all I have been able to get and I'm at a loss as I just recently bought this phone. Please if anyone has any suggestions or advice please, I have looked all over this forum and have not found anything related to this similar issue.
Apologizies if this has been in the forum, but I've spent 5 days on this site. Thought that it was time to post my issue.
Hello I am a new member to the forums, not a first time user though! I have a dilemma on my hands, a while ago I had rooted my LG Gpad 7.0(att) and all was good. Since then I have switched carriers and still have the Tablet, recently rooted my new device the S7 edge. I decided While I am at it, lets go ahead and attempt to flash a custom ROM, CM-13.0-20160717-Nightly-v410. I flashed TWRP successfully....... but when I did a normal boot it booted to TWRP... not sure what I did wrong here. I was able to flash a stock rooted ROM of 4.4.2 and now on boot all looks normal. installed all my root apps again, I used Flashfire to flash the CM-13.0 zip. all looked like it was going good, but now its stuck in a bootloop of the LG logo. it seems all I can do is the key combo for a factory reset, when attempting Download mode the logo flashes 1-2secs till I let go of the keys.
In windows it doesnt show when attempting Download Mode, just plugging the usb in windows throws an error.
-USB device not recognized "The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it."
*in device manager - "Unknown USB Device (Configuration Descriptor Request Failed), Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)
Fix attempts Made = failed
- manually using LG driver in windows. displays driver name now but still Yellow !.
- creating new Binary key in "regedit" to get rid of above *message.
- tried multiple PC's, as well as clean installs of driver.
- any suggestion in http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g-pad-83/help/soft-bricked-lg-g-pad-7-0-v410-boots-to-t3094137
-brought tablet to full charge and repeated.
Again I cant get into download mode, I am more less asking if this can be reversed or if I have a new paper weight.
Apologies for the long read, lol.
Thanks in advance, looking forward to ideas if any!

If you really want to delete the thread, use the report button on the first post and ask a moderator to delete the thread.
A better forum etiquette, since you took the time to ask how to solve it and evidently figured it out, it's to post what you did to fix it (or a link to a relevant thread) so that when someone else has the same problem, they can find this thread and the solution in a search.

@Mr.Gallifrey Please let us know the solution that how you fix your device. I am too having the same issue but different device manufacturer.
@roirraW "edor" ehT +1
Well finally I have found the solution for it. On almost all OSs ie. Windows10, 8.1, 7 and Ubuntu 16.04, I'd got the same error message "Unknown USB Device (Configuration Descriptor Request Failed), Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)".
But the real culprit was not any operating system or missing driver, it was USB port in my device. I just opened the device and cleaned the USB Port area with small pin and plugged the usb cable tightly while connecting to PC and its done. Later I changed the usb port on my phone and now problem is gone forever.
So the conclusion is whenever YOU GUYS GET THIS ERROR "Unknown USB Device (Configuration Descriptor Request Failed), Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)" don't curse your PC Operating System, just check with either of usb port in your phone (mostly) or PC or it could be usb connection cable.
I hope this could help you guys. Best of luck...
I enable ADB on developers options and was able to enter fast boot, the first time. But don't do anything.
But now the Watch is not recognized, I already try in 3 different PC's and received the message.
When I connect a box appear that indicate:
USB Device Not Recognized, the last USB device you connect to this computer malfunctioned and Windows does not recognized it.
Recommendation: Try Reconnecting the device. If Windows still does not recognize it, your device may not be working properly.
My Wife Watch are recognized in all 3 PC's and able to unlock bootloader, install TWRP and Kernel.
Also when I go to Device Manager a line (under Universal Serial Bus Controllers) are added tha indicate :
Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)
I already reset the watch 3 times, wipe cache, but still same error message.
Under Developer Options, I revoke debugging authorizations.
What other options I had.
Thanks.
Getting this too, did you find a solution?
Hello ....

I also got the same error. Hope somebody finds a fix

but my watch still in android bootloop, recovery workinng but factory reset not helping.
I fixed it. For me the error occurred because I used a 3rd party charger. (Which came with my watch because I bought it second hand)
So I got the original huawei charger from Amazon and now everything is working fine.

Could you send me a link to the charger you bought please? Thanks!
Any insight into this would be greatly appreciated!
So my 925T won't connect on USB to any computer. I've tried a number of laptops ranging from windows 7-10. All come back with the same error in the device manager. The error will say the same thing no matter what state the phone is in. The device is currently FRP Locked(My phone, but I accidentally turned off Dev options and restarted it) download mode won't work because of the same error. Can't get into recovery. =[
Last week in a hail Mary, I tore into the phone and replaced the USB board. So I know that's not it....
Any clue what could be going on here? Or atleast a way to get past the FRP lock without Odin or recovery?
Thank you all in advance.
Guys you are my last hope of getting this resolved. For last few weeks I'm unable to connect my S9 to my PC (Windows 10 pro) getting USB device not recognised message. I have tried everything I could including installing new USB ports on my computer and nothing works. I had my handset checked and there is no mechanical fault. Does anybody knows a solution to that. Your help will be greatly appreciated
