Your phone got bricked or not? If not, try flashing/downgrade miui using stock recovery option..just make sure its the latest oreo one.

MiFlash: "flash xbl error"

Hello,
I'm trying to flash the Fastboot ROM v9.5.19.0 Global Stable using MiFlash but I get this error "flash xbl error".
My Redmi Note 5 (International version) has MIUI 10 8.7.26 Global Beta and the Bootloader is unlocked.
The flashing of MIUI 10 8.7.26 worked well instead.
What could be the problem?
Thanks in advance

If possible then how to revert back from MIUI 10 Pie to MIUI 10 Oreo

Hi all
My note 5 pro is Global ver, 6gb/64gb. I was on Oreo last ver, just before few days I received notification for Pie, so without a 2nd thought I downloaded and installed that. The Pie ver is stable 10.3.1.0 PEIMIXM and now regretting why I did that. The battery drain is horrible, it drains like crazy, on Oreo my battery used to last at least 2 to 2.5 days whereas this one just dies in 1 day, the usage is less then the previous usage in Oreo.
Now the question is how can I revert back to Oreo from this Pie, if at all possible.
The phone does not have TWRP but the bootloader is Unlocked.
Any help is appreciated.

Download oreo fastboot file and flash it with mi flash tool(select clean all if u want to keep bl unlocked)
U can flash recovery rom file and flash it via twrp.but fastboot flash is recommended
Will this not brick my phone as trying to go back to previous ver of ROM.. and due to this Anti-RollBack policy?

Yes.the fastboot file has all the the files to make it stock.but remove pin/password to avoid encryption issues
its been awhile since i have flashed anything on a phone. last time i did it was on my note 4...anyways, i also want to do this since my battery doesn't last long and dual apps for Pokemon Go, isn't working like i had it before.
my bootloader is locked. I know i have to unlock it via MUI website and write the reason i wan to unlock it. how long does it take for them to unlock it?
what should i write to them?
does unlocking the bootloader mean its rooted or do i have to have a custom rom?
also, im confused on what model my phone is. i checked my model name: its M1803E7SH
i checked online and it says that its the redmi note 5 as well as the redmi note 5 pro..so im wondering if this method will work on my phone. pleaaaase help

You dont have to write any reason to unlock bootloader.
visit en.miui.com/unlock page login with your mi account and proceed with unlocking procedure, you may need to wait 360 hours before unlocking bootloader (depending on your mi account activity)
your's is Redmi Note 5/Pro model name WHYRED. you can download Redmi Note 5 Pro ROM package and flash it on your mobile

Downgrading MIUI 11 to MIUI 10

Have someone already tried this? Downgrading from Miui 11 to Miui 10? Or from some Miui 10 to another version of Miui 10? I've the Redmi 7 Global and my bootloader is locked. I tried downgrading using the built in update app and choosing a previous package but it doesn't let me to do that. I don't know if it's possible by flashing Miui 10 in fastboot, has anyone tried? Fastboot getvar anti gives me =1 and I read somewhere that =1 means there's no problem to downgrade but I'm not sure

RECOVERY - If you try to flash Recovery rom in Redmi 7(ONC_LITE) or Redmi Y3(ONC) then it will successfully flashed !! i personally tried and success.
FASTBOOT - If you try to flash any rom in Redmi 7(ONC_LITE) or Redmi Y3(ONC) then it says only nop and sig tag can be received before authentication
EDL - If you try to flash any rom in Redmi 7(ONC_LITE) or Redmi Y3(ONC) then it says only nop and sig tag can be received before authentication
my phone stucks at EDL MODE. No Fastboot,Recovery,Boot,GPT,LED Blink. Nothing works only EDL MODE. can anyone help me !! i have Redmi Y3.

Nope Xiaomi restricted downgrading Option via updater app the only option left is fastboot
To anyone,
I just want to know if it's possible to (& how to) downgrade (WITHOUT A PC! aka using just zip file) for my Redmi 7A using the update app\tool on MIUI devices, before I update it... I'll hate to upgrade only to find bugs etc... so it's always good to know how to downgrade jic as I'm very cautious & I've never tried these things. tnx.

Mi Mix 2 MIUI12 rollback

Hi guys,
I need a bit of help. I updated my phone to Global Stable 12.0.1 via OTA. I'm not quite happy with it (auto dimming feature is quite bad, searching through settings takes ages etc..). I wanted to go back to MIUI 10. Is it possibile? My phone is completley stock.
Tnx for the help.
You need to unlock bootloader(7 days) and flash old tom in TWRP, no other possibilities.
If you can unlock bootloader, why not flash custom roms
