bricked mi max(?)

hello everybody.
i got a 3/64gb mi max and tried to flash twrp and the miui 8 eu version.
For some reason the phone bricked (flashing the MI logo and then nothing).
i managed to get it on edl mode, i downloaded the official chinese and eu roms but no matter which one i try to flash i get this message and it doesnt go on after that.
any suggestions ?
the phone goes into EDL mode, and also goes into fastboot mode when i keep the vol - and power button. It's working but i can't flash the official rom cause of this message and when i try to flash TWRP, the screen flashes the MI logo and then nothing.

Same problem I had when flashing the latest EU ROM using TWRP with a locked bootloader. Here's what I did to fix it:
1. Make sure you have the latest Qualcomm USB drivers installed
2. Start up Miflash, make sure the right fastboot package is selected
3. Connect your phone to the PC. Hold down Power, Vol- and Vol+ together until you get a short vibration.
4. Check Windows Device Manager. Under Ports, you should see a Qualcomm 9008 QDLoader device. If you see a 9000 port or whatever, disconnect the phone, reconnect it and hold down all three buttons again.
5. Press Refresh in Miflash, you should see a COM10 device. Flashing should be successful.

Just tried it. Same message shows up unfortunately

I have the same Problem, bat i use a old Version of Mi Flash. IT works better

May i know what windows version you're using it..?, coz old version of MiFlash tool doesn't support running under 32bit system.
Maybe you can try using latest version of MiFlash tool..

You must also mark option "Flash all" in MiFlesh.

There is a solution. I have tried everything but mistake was to obvious to posiible really. I was using wrong ROM version to flash it. Had "can not read from port ..." or "can not received hello packet data".
Firts of all download miflash beta. Then check your processor type because this is what define your rom. I thought that my Mi Max 64GB is a hydrogen ROM. Wasted because of that about 30 hours of my precious life Then I realised that my ROM is helium. I downloaded helium_global_images_V8.1.9.0.MBDMIDI_20170103
Flashed it for a first time.

lenovo P1 totally bricked

I was trying to use QFIL to update the phone and get rid of chinese characters,and now my phone is completely blank with no sounds or vibration.The computer still connects to the phone in QFIL but doesnt show as a device on the computer.
Any help in fairly simple language would be great.

Go to stock recovery if it is possible( both volume + power button) then power off and then press volume up anx cpnnect to pc. What happened now?

Thanks i tried stock recovery nothing happens ie no reaction from the phone,if i hold the power button for a minute and then press volume up and connect to pc the pc bleeps

Does Qualcomm port shows?
Can you use qfil program in this state?

yes qualcomm shows in device manager and qfil seems to work but ends in sahara fail

Hard bricked...Need a solution :(

Hello,I recently flash a wrong file and now my device is straight up dead no logo nothing the led blinks for a mini second and turns off I tried using qfil and mi flash but it was getting detected as 900e port and wasn't even detected on mi flash I tried updating drivers and got it to 9008 but still it would get stuck forever when I hit download asap in qfil or would show some sahara port error and still no detection on mi flash even in 9008 mode I tried over 50+ times using the button combinations to get it to 9008 mode but every time it would be 900e any solution other than deep flash as I have just one type c cable and I may screw up

Press volume up key for 15 seconds, then press power button & insert usb (within a second) to pc..it will get it to edl mode..

probably your only way out is deep flashing, i've been through this

any solution for this ? i'm suffering the same

How could I fix specified recourses or device not available error on mi flash tool?

Whenever I put the battery on my redmi 1S MI logo keep restarting in every 2 seconds and and the fastboot mode also do this . After that I tried that test point method.and after that I discovered that my battery died and it is not charging then after some days I bought a new battery and while continuing the process I got the error "specified resources or device is not available" in 18 seconds of process in mi flash tool. when the qualcomm hs-usb loader 9008 port convert into Qualcomm hs usb 9006. Now my device is stuck in EDL mode no display black screen no response on and volume up down power button and when I connect the phone to PC it detects as the Qualcomm HS USB 9008 port.and when I connect the phone to the charger of PC without battery the red LED Notification light just blinks one time. Now please help me I got one and only the phone. And now I can't buy a new phone please suggest me away to get out of this problem. What do you think my phone hard bricked???.

I tried each and every version of Mi Flash tool but not the first one. On each versions the Qualcomm HS USB qdloader 9008 changed to 9006 but after 4or 5 seconds the loader reverts back to 9008 and the error happens.
Will try the first version of mi flash tool. Thanks.....

i did a big mistake..i flashed redmi 6 pro rom to my a2 lite ..now nothing is happening...edl mode/fastboot mode is not accessing.i also show my phone to a service center. thaaaay just **** me they breaak my fingerprint reader.......help me to boot my phone i have to brought a back-part with finger print reader.please help me

Flash a proper stock rom, if you have a Mi A2 Lite phone through EDL mode this will revert a normal brick.
EDL mode is ever accesed, it might happen that device doesn´t start any kind of transfering data process through EDL, this means that your device is hard bricked in a way that motherboard can´t receive data so it´s damaged at hardware level but to prove this you have to first install the proper Qualcomm HS-USB qdloader 9008 drivers and see how is detected through device manager, it could be detected as Diagnostics 9006 with a warning symbol and then you have to update drivers, restart pc and re-start the process.
If then of bypass properly all the failures that XiaoMi flash tool can produce doesn´t work then the damaged was more serious.
If you unlocked previously (I guess you did it) then you can enter to EDL from a power off by holding both volume buttons at same time that you connect with pc -you have to first start the app and load the image- if device enters to EDL mode but the tool is not recognicing it the led light will stay on BUT if you entered correctly to EDL mode and also the tool is properly recognicing it (so the drivers were well updated) then the led light will flash intermitently.
At time to connect to pc in the mentioned steps you have not to receive any vibration just a sound from your pc.

i cant access fastboot but it is connecting to edl mode but not getting flash.when its connect a sounds on pc but when not properly not in edl the notification light blinking.please help me.

How is detected under device manager? qualcomm-HS-USB qdloader 9008? Also what about behaviour of led light, it stays on all the time or it blinks?
Edit: Now I read your previous post, Led light has to blink, this is correctly connected, see under device manager how it is detected.

Ok, Behaviour changes depending on what rom you actually are, it´s mean that now you have flashed some partitions from Miui rom (led light will stay off) at least it´s being detected.
Things that you can try:
- Move the rom to the same folder where XiaoMi flash is.
- Rename the folder as short as better like "xiaomi" without quotes.
- Put your Windows in "Test Mode", restart to changes take effects.
- Switch to other version of the tool, it worked for me latest from here https://xiaomifirmware.com/downloads/miflashpro/
- Try with other rom version.

Don't worry about led behaviour, your device will turn a bit weird cause you flashed a wrong firmware, the important here is that it's recognised by pc. What about the steps, tried?
