Wifi and SIM not working. Unlocking impossible. - Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 Questions & Answers

Hello
my Mi Mix 2 suddenly couldn't read my SIM Cards anymore and I even can't turn on wifi (turns itself off immediately). Both functions broke at the same time.
As nothing helped, I have done a factory reset. Now im stuck in the language selection screen, where I need to unlock the phone with my Mi Account first, which isn't possible because there is still no way to establish an internet connection.
My bootloader is locked and my last hope was unlocking it and flashing another/Stock ROM. But the unlocking Process with Mi Unlock always fails. (Can't get info, connect again at 50%; on my other PC it stops at 99%)
Can someone help me? I'm so lost.

No I'm on vacation right now and don't have my mix 2 with me.
I'll keep you updated as soon as I can in about 2 weeks. :good:

Hi all, did you find any solution to get wifi working?

No I still can't do anything with the phone. Bought a new one by now.
And I don't trust this indian guy above with his instagram account and only one post on xda. Seems like a scam. If he has a solution, why shouldn't he share his information with us publicly?
Tried contacting xiaomi mail support, but the support is a ****show.

Well, where were you all, dear ones, I missed you for a year. I killed persist in August, but somehow I restored imei using Android 7. What the phone didn’t give out - but as an option it always worked with custom Android 9 wi-fi. Than just did not sew. In short, I bought mi 9, and tied it to the same battery. Mi mix 2 I blocked and gave up. But somehow everything decided to heat it over a gas stove and make a testpoint. On mi9 sat mi-room and did not think)). But somehow I decided to do mimix2 again and configure m: rolleyes: i box s in parallel. As a result - mi 9 is locked, it doesn’t see SIM cards, but there is wifi)) Mix is not even sewn even through testpoint, I have been listening to music on mi box for a month now and am writing with Chinese, Indians (sorry if I hit anyone). I’m even thinking, maybe the iPhone and to hell with these firmware, I’d better get married a second time. I got sick already, more electricity was spent on the firmware than these devices cost. (If you don’t understand anything, beat the Google translator - I’m just blowing it, I’m too lazy to write in any non-Russian languages): laugh :: la ...

- unlock bootloader flashing twrp in edl mode using this procedure https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fL4IwEDVa3Q
- flash stock firmware using qpst tool https://www.qpstflash.com/

NEW way to BYPASS and REMOVE PASSWORD or PIN on xperia ZL

hey everyone, today I found a way to bypass the lock screen and remove the password/ pin from the settings.
well, this i got to know accidently when i was trying to run a code on the phone.
hile i was searching on a sonymobile website, there came a code *#*#73556673#*#* to run the retail demo, after running the demo, my locked phone removed the pin and shown swipe unlock screen.
then i again locked it with password and then run the code from the locked screen through emergency calling number. after that i pressed the home button 2 times and my locked screen changed from password to swipe screen unlock.
NOTE that after pressing this code retail demo starts, and to stop that demo you have to run the code again....... if you want more help, then ask......
http://youtu.be/gRelLSb0vgw
so this is easy way to unlock the Xperia zl, it must also work on Xperia z, if you have Z, then please share your views.
I think it is the best way to unlock the phone because it removes the password from settings. old trick was that to access the service menu through emergency number.........
my aim towards posting this trick was to show and tell SONY that they should look upon the security issues and improve the security for the upcoming updated of 4.2..........
please hit thanks if anybody was helped from this post

but that does not actually remove the password from settings. if you restart your phone, than the device will again ask for password, but if you try the method mentioned by me, then the password is actually removed......... just press *#*#73556673#*#* and press home button.......
I work in a "Buy-Back" shop and a customer left his locked mobile with us, and then didn't buy it back.
This worked perfectly, and we can now re-sell his non-collected goods.
Just remember, after removing the phone lock, as OP says, input the code AGAIN, otherwise every time the phone goes into sleep mode, the demo runs.
Thanks OP, very helpful.
Ok .. this is not working on my Xperia Z (android 4.2.2). I forgot the screenlock pin and locked myself out of my phone. Is there a code that works with this version of android ..or any other way to get rid of this code?

[Q] No 4G/LTE capability after IMEI repair

My G3 was reported as stolen (presumably by the seller) shortly after I bought it, so the IMEI was blocked on my network. I sent the phone to the US for repair and, after some hassle and a complaint to Paypal, I received it it by return post almost 6 weeks later. Not sure if I can mention the "repair" company here but PM me for details, if you'd like them.
The phone now works on Edge / 3G but will not connect to any Australian 4G network. I've tried flashing the European (4.4.2) tot and Australian 5.0 tot but the situation persists. In slight desperation, I'll try the Hong Kong tot later today but in the meantime, does anyone know of a solution?
Possibly useful info:
There is no EFS backup.
The (new) IMEI is displayed in Phone Information and with the "06" code entered in the phone.
The model number is D855 (not D855K or any other variant)
The phone was rooted and running (I think) ANHD Lollipop when it was sent in for repair.*
Extensive searching has not produced anything that has been of use.
LTE is available in Network Selection and it sticks after reboot, so no need to use 'hidden menu', delete system files, etc...
* Probably the cause. The only instructions given were to send the phone without SIM or external SD card.
Have you tried this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=54621213&postcount=26
Or this?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/mod-root-activate-lte-g3-t2819387
Yes. It's nothing to do with settings, I think. I have LTE in settings, no problem. It just won't connect to any band n the hidden menu (I tried each one). Seems that the Australian LTE bands have been knocked out, somehow.
Just discovered that the phone will not connect to data network if GSM only is selected but GSM/WCDMA will switch between EDGE/3G (H - no H+)
HK .tot file did not resolve the problem.

You are wellcome, this is the way it should be i think. I'm old enough who knows sharing is a must ..
http://www.androidbrick.com/qualcomm-snapdragon-imei-tamiri-ders-4-qualcomm-snapdragon-imei-repair/ , the trick is to "zero" necessary partitions, and put your original imei in an orginal untouched qcn backup of your version. You can see it in the pictures of this article. Your 3 partition that holds this info are 21, 22 and 24.

Does anybody got Authorized Xiaomi Account?

does anybody got the authorization for flash bricked device?
Yes, follow the method properly. Where u got this method from that explains how to do this.
Sent from my Redmi Note 5 Pro using Tapatalk
You got the authorized mi account? I found this method myself.
Those who are trying to unbrick their device using EDL, Please post your Mi ID here [ http://ru.miui.com/thread-10664-1-1.html ] to gain Authorization First! [ Mods will see your ID & Authorize it ] [ Use Chrome to Translate ]
Then,
?1. Download latest fastboot rom 8.7.12
http://whyred.tk/8712GF
?2. Download miflash here
https://c.mi.com/thread-1220989-1-0.html
?3. Open any browser and login your miui account that is binded or used to unlock the bootloader & if the Mi ID has been authorised it will work!
?4. Try to flash and select CLEAN ALL
?5. If it doesnt work open your phone again and force testpoint & Flash again
Keep on Trying It worked for a guy!

Dears - Help - Unlock Moto G 5

Dears,
I got my cell phone stolen, IT'S MYSELF!
It is now blocked and a colleague has informed me that I need to downgrade it to gain access.
I have seen the official steps of google, to enter the site of recovery of the account, to signal the account there and to wait for 24/72 hours, however I want to solve now.
Can anyone pass the steps to do here by the pc?
I do not master android but I am a programmer.
Tks,
Fernando Santos
I think you are asking for FRP (factory reset protection) bypass. This is when you have forgotten the login for the google account on the device.
There a difference between the different G5 models so I suggest you search on your device model for FRP bypass.

Question Yet Another Bricked Mi Pad 5 after Global Rom

sigh, yes I am embarrased at what I did but I have bricked my Mi Pad 5 and need a hand. Background:
- new Mi Pad 5 China hardware but with Global ROM flashed by the vendor I bought from
- the Mi Pad started up fine and I logged into my google and Mi accounts with no issues
- noticed the bootloader was unlocked and that google play said device is not certified
- I used fastboot OEM LOCK *very stooooopid* and the device rebooted
- on start up is says "This miui version can't be installed on this device" and now it's bricked
- tried to wipe data but no luck same error
- tried miunlock tool but it tells me I have to bind my id to the device :-(
- tried XiaoMiTool V2 but it is also stuck
- tried Mi pc suite but it will not detect the mi pad
Is there way way to simply recovery back to the latest chinese version of the rom - feels like I am stuck between a rock and a hardplace :-(
Thx in advance for your help, FredT

Unlock again, install stock china rom, factory reset and lock bootloader
yeah when I try to unlock it now it says that I have to bind my MI id again but I can't boot MIUI to do that - so really stuck as it won't let me unlock
when I try oem unlock I get:
C:\Users\fredp\Downloads\miflash_unlock-en-5.5.224.24>.\fastboot.exe oem unlock

How did you unlock it in the first place? Maybe use the same method? Mine (pro 5g) came with CN ROM with the bootloader locked, so I had to go through the usual procedure of binding my Mi account and waiting for 7 days to unlock the bootloader. I used Mi Unlock as Xiaomi suggests.
Mine came from the seller with the global rom installed even on the CN hardware so they went through that process which in retrospective was not such a great idea, my mistake was that I did not bind my ID to the device before trying to lock it.
I don't know if you solved your problem, but when this kind of things happened with Xiaomi phones, you needed someone with an authorized Xiaomi account that could log in Xiaomi flasher and unlock your device for you. I remember seeing a guy from Russia who did this procedure for many people over the k20 pro fórum (he charges 20us I think)
Sorry for the kind of generic information but it's been sometime I saw this and can't quite remember the details. Try to search for more info about that in k20 pro fórum.
What I can tell you is that if you find the right person to do it for you it's quite easy and fast. I think he does it over TeamViewer.
Anyway, don't give up. It is totally recoverable

How was this fixed? I also have the same problem(locking the bootloader after flashing and bricking it).
I tried to reachout to {Mod edit} and already paid for the service fee, and I am feeling that this is a SCAM, i have been waiting for a day and still no progress with this. Im confused if this is really a thing for our bricked units. Hope they were just really busy and not a scam.

Update on my transaction with {Mod edit}, it is legit! Cant beleive they revived my mi pad 5. This thread is a big help. Thanks!

I understand the reason...
But how can we suggest a solution to people with bricked device if this is the only option available?

Thanks for your understanding. I see the difficulties; however, we've our rules and stances and don't want XDA to be the platform for somebody to make money.
