Rooting eu rom breaks Sim card

So I've flashed numerous miui 7 and 8 from stable xiaomi eu, everytime I flash supersu no matter what version, when it boots back up my Sim card settings are grayed out

Has anyone seen this before? Can't make an account on xiaomi eu for some reason or I'd ask there.

I was on xiaomi eu rom before,and also with root, but never face any issues related to Sim card either stable or weekly builds both is fine.
but since i try Multi Rom, i feel this rom is better than eu rom, and now i'm stick on it.

Actually i flashed Official MiUI Global Rom, and even rooting that produced the same problem, its almost like my phone on MIUI cannot be rooted or its going to break my sim card settings, any idea what could cause this?

Miui 7 and the versions that I tried of 8 are still based on marshmallow

Miui 7.5 caused same issue with me I fixed it by flashing with fastboot latest stable rom and supersu just after flashing done and reboot

I ended up just flashing a pre rooted miui rom to get around it, been working great so far.

Which version of miui you flashed

Global stable 7.5.3.0, 7.5.4.1, 8.1.2.0, xiaomi eu version 7.5.6.0 and some other versions but I have since deleted them off my SD card.

Try custom rom or nrwest update 8.2.5.0 there are so muvh bugs fixed and there are some peoples who are facing issues like loosing imei etc i dont know much sbout it so i think you hsve similsr problend you csn find these posts in miui forum

Miui pro rom

Those who are missing Masik Miui Rom ,I want to suggest you the Miui pro rom.(Masik in MIUI9 )
Lots of Modification similar to Masik.Very very lightweight and stable.
No Chinese or google bloatware and Rom is full of customization .
Regularly updated with Miui 9 Beta.
Personally saying after Masik it is a very good Miui based Custom rom.
I am just sharing my own opinion.

Full of useless customizations and bugs but team miuipro sad " this is not a bug this is feature" , and they dont like critique )

looks good, i like masik but i think this rom is different. lack of infos we need changelog, reported bugs.

Coming from masik miui,should i wipe system or only dalvik/cache in twrp?

im using it right now. i just flash the rom through recovery with masik miui. just intall the zip. then clear dalvik/cache all data and apps remain. works fine for me

Can I flash this without wipes on xiaomi.eu rom?

Differences between several MIUI-based ROMs

I'm currently on a global whyred pro, 4/64gb
On the latest PixelExperience CAF 20190420, twrp 3.2.3-5, the latest stable firmware of oreo, ARB4, and unlocked BL.
I am curious to try the latest MIUI Pie version, very active these last few weeks.
I hesitate between :
- MIUI 10 by xiaomi.eu https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/9-4-18.50189/
- Masik ™ X 4.1 PIE https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-5-pro/how-to/masik-2-4-rom-t3828932

- The official one ? I didn't find the right version, for my whyred model (not found the dev fastboot image for the pro version :silly: )

you forgot the 2 most customisable miui roms.miui pro and miui xtrv (miui hellas)

Visit official MIUI website to download android pie beta ROM.
There are two types of ROM
Recovery ROM can be flashed using twrp (en.miui.com/download.html)
It is recommended to flash fastboot ROM while returning to MIUI from custom ROM
visit en.miui.com/a-234.html to download latest stable or beta fastboot ROM and flash it using MiFlash
Note : if your device is Chinese variant then do not flash global ROM and lock bootloader
If your device is global variant then do not flash Chinese ROM and lock bootloader
You can flash global ROM on global variant device and then lock bootloader

I would like to know, I could restore a pixel experience backup via reocovery if I ever want to leave miui ?
I have to pay attention to something in particular in the migration Pixel Exp -> miglobe and vice versa ?

I honestly find masik to be the best, it has custom camera libs, material design, custom sound, and it may be placebo but battery seems to last longer than Xiaomi.eu Also i like the fact that the google app isn't included, and you can choose miui apps in the aroma installer. It's the only way i can stand miui

MIUI 10.3.2 update/outdate

Hi guys, weird stuff happened to my today, I recently got an Redmi 7, I updated MIUI to 10.3.2.0, all great, I turned off mi phone today and when I turn it on again, there was no MIUI 10.3.2.0 and I received again the notice to update my MIUI to that version again :s Also I used to have my apps like 5x5 and now went back to 4x5 and now I dont have the option to change it back to 5x5 :s
This has happened to anyone?

I went to Mi Community, apparently, they rolled back MIUI 10.3.2.0 for some reason, I cannot even see the MIUI update to 10.3.2.0 anymore on my Redmi 7 and its happening to other ppl too..

You're right, I can't redownload the 10.3.2.0 anymore though I'm already on this version.
I'll just try to flash 10.3.1.0 back because I've noticed a battery drain on 10.3.2.0.

Brothers install rom and reset clean but battery charge for 100%
No battery drain just install clear rom flash :good:

same here. I got it an update notification a week ago. Downloaded it but I didn't install yet. I tried to install it the next day but the updater say there's no update available. Weird.

Hallo. For me it is same 10.3.1 stable and security patch maybe 1 may. Weird?

They rolled it back probably because of some bug.
Hoping there's a new update later this month or next month.

I have 10.3.4 estable right now, so I guess that glitch is gone

Are you on Global ROM? Because this thread was for the Global ROM, not China or EU ROM.
And yes, it's 10.3.2 Global ROM is not available via OTA anymore since they pulled it out.
There's a MIUI latest update collection on the ROM section, anyone with unlocked bootloader and has TWRP can install that.

I can't change my theme and wallpapers too.

Recently i updated my redmi note 5 pro to the stable pie version (from xda link)and i did it successfully.But from that day onwards iam not able to change my theme ,if i tries to change the theme it automatically comes back to the default theme provided by redmi after a regular interval of time. I faced the same issue with the oreo update also(10.3.1) ,but in that oreo update i was able to change my wallpapers,but in this pie update iam not even able to change wallpapers...its also comes to default wallpaper after 10-15 mins... someone please help me to find a solution..iam fed up with this issue.
