badadruid extremely slow - Bada Software and Hacking General

hello,
I recently install a badadroid on my wave 2,
but it doesn't have google play, so I'm trying to download it,
but browsing the web is almost impossible. it is so slow...
it takes few minutes to load a page, and scrolling down is also very slow
is that how its suppose to be?
because it is pretty much unusable this way
Thanks

You can install apps without google play.
Download the application on the Internet as a file *.apk, place it on the SD card, and go through file manager on the phone.

but if the internet is really slow,
I dought it will be able to run apps that are probably more demanding than searching google.....

[Q] how to install apps ?

hi i am new to the htc hd mini and i am finding very hard to find good info on what to do with it maybe its still new, but how do i install apps i have downloaded a few themes/apps and not having any joy of putting them on the the phone sure i have put them on the memory card but can't install them from there i have downloaded the activesync (running win xp) and that don't install apps. so i am stuck it was quicker and easy to jailbreak the ipod touch and put apps on there. where am i going wrong ?
many thanks a confused hd mini owner.
p.s
now i know there is no compass on it (one of the things i was looking forward to using)
also while looking on youtube there was a clip where someone is doing street view or somethink like and moving the phone about and the street image moved too, also i was told that using google maps with the layers i could find a shop with it..i think this must be for another phone.
apart from this its still a nice little phone would be much better if i could get some of the above working.
App extensions are CAB it's like seeing zip or rar file on PC.
to check the file extension in your PC go to Folder Option > View Tab > Remove tick from Hide Extension...
move cab files in your Storage card then in file explorer from your phone click on them and if prompt Microsoft security choose Yes and finally choose where to install applications.
in case your application is EXE: connect your phone to your PC via Active Sync and then run the file from PC... Follow the on screen instructions.
thanks emrause i shall try this when the phone wants to connect to the pc this morning for some unknown reason it don't want to connect to the pc i have tryed a data drive and getting no luck and only once did i did it will activesync but nothink happend...almost pulling my hair out here...wish they would have made the phone a bit more user friendly

That's because you have extracted .cab file, before transfering it to device.

[Help]Apps form SD are unloadable(unreachable)

Hello to all!
At last few days, my phone start bugging.. First and biggest problem is that, all apps from SD card are unreachable( cant be loaded, but they are installed).. Also, other files are available on SD card.. Can preview pics, listen music, etc.. Also, few days before this problem, phone didnt open any pic and failed to load any video.. I dont know what I did, but that problem is gone..
Phone is rooted, and worked fine till now..
I must notice that this is happen after SD defragmentation.. Maybe I'm wrong, but that is last app I installed before problem..
Please, give me some options becouse I have alot apps installed and moved to SD.
Ty for any suggestions, all are welcome!
If you have apks than try to install them again.
If you don't have apks
Than u can find your installed apks here
just open any file manager
Go to
MNT>ASEC
just copy them
To sdcard and reinstall
we all should be polite enough to press thanks for anyone who helped US.
Your SD card has gone kaput. Try scan and fix through Windows. If it fixed, even then you may have to install apps again.
Ahh, ty guys..
I have apps on application menager, but icon is like unmounted SD card..
Also, I tried to defrag by PC, scan with NOD32, and nothing..
I have good progress in games, so it would be a pity to play them again.. Btw, if that is only way, I dont have to choose..
Feel free to give me some more recommendations..:good:
Guys, if someone can post me some good file menager with which I can see and "backup" list of apps and apps.. I have installed Kies, but they dont have ability for that..
Ty

Mi File Manager will do the trick fro you. All you need is root on your phone.

Again, try saving the game folder on your PC and restoring after fresh install. It should work.
I tried today Mi File Explorer, and in APKs, I dont have all installed games.. Only few... Maybe I need to setup something?
Mi File Explorer shows the APK installer file and not the installed APKs. So if you need to backup your installed APK, then installed Airdroid first and then from web interface, select the games files you need to backup and you're done.
I tried to connect to Airdroid, but still no apps.. There are not on System apps too..
I also tried to format MMS, but nothing...
Ok, I downloaded a Root Browser Lite and in phone memory(I think, its first what I see when I open the app) in folder Data>data, I found app folders.. U can see in attachments.. What should I do now?

[Q] C1905 Google Play Store: location of downloaded apps not installed yet

Hi! That's my first message here
Just got an Xperia M as gift, and being it my 1st android phone i'm still trying to figure things out.
First things first: phone is successfully rooted, and im navigating into it with root explorer
My problem:
i have little free space left (80megs) , and got a pair of big games which managed to download themselves on the phone, but refused to install (dead trigger 2, 250megs)
This mean that when i go on the google play store page of that app i get directly the "install" button, so the game .apk must be somewhere on the phone storage.
Where is it located?
Where does google play store store the downloaded .apk files before installation?
I tried to look at the locations cited in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1699698
but couldnt find anything, so i guess Sony must have moved that cache folder somewhere else on the phone.
Does anyone know the exact location?
Thanks in advance for the answer

How to make SD card writtable

Well, I need to make my SD card writtable, so I can move large apps and games to my SD card.. I found that topic http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2524277 , but it belongs to Moto mobile, so anyone tried it and found it working for HTC desire 816? I have root access btw...
And if I did that, will I be able to move large games completely to SD card?
Is your mobile rooted ? If so then install the exposed module and then download the sdcard access program. It should work.

How can I even install this module? Never heard of that thingy.. and what do you mean by SD card access program?
Sorry for the double post. I have already made SD card wrritable and it succeeded and afterwards, I downloaded Folder Mount and I can move apps and games to SD card without any single problem, but the main problem I find is as follows:-
Most of apps which are downloaded from store such as:- Facebook, chrome, YouTube, Subway, Minion Rushes etc have free folders in the "Android" folder, although when I was using Jelly Bean, I used to have to access to their files without a problem and I didn't find those folders empty..
I can currently move large games such as NFSMW, MC4 and such games because they aren't downloaded from playstore, but APK Mani, that's why I can get access to their data and OBB files, so any help?

2GB+ Files not downloading

Hey everyone, so here's the thing, I've recently switched from Essential PH-1 to the Z2F due to poor performance with T-Mobile on Essential. I recently decided to download official TMobile Z2F firmware to look through the files, and turns out the firmware file is over 2GB in size. Every time I attempted to download it, the download breaks exactly as soon as it reaches 2GB at around 95% progress, it pauses, and as soon as I attempted to resume download, it resets to 0% progress. Anyone else encounter this issue? I've tried downloading from safe mode and same result, download breaks at 2GB. I've allowed external source downloads from chrome, so I know that's not the problem. I also turned off and disabled the preinstalled malware scanner, so that shouldn't be the problem either. Is there some sort of limiter setting that I can't find?

If you're saving to an external sdcard, make sure it's formatted correctly. Try going settings > Apps & notifications > app permissions > storage - find chrome and make sure it is enabled for storage.
You might also try another browser like Opera Mini, UC, anything really.

Storage permission was granted from the get go. Opera did allow the download, so apparently there's something in the preinstalled chrome browser on this device preventing file sizes over 2gb from being downloaded, maybe something in the flags, haven't looked through those, but can confirm this issue isn't present with Opera browser and likely any other downloadable browser.
Thanks for the suggestion

I experienced the exact same issues while attempting to download 2gb+ files using Chrome on my Z2F. I switched to the Microsoft Edge browser and haven't had any trouble downloading any files.
Sent from my Moto Z2 Force using XDA Labs
