It happened after trying to charge with a type c adapter and (may be a faulty)moto charger.
After I charged it 2, 3 cycles with stock charger.
Then reboots began.
Opening gallery or any slightly heavy app caused reboot.
After one week phone just turned off.
pressing power key just dimly lights screen for a second then turn off.
No led lights. No logo. Nothing.
edl mode is possible.
Tried edl and qfil.
It flashed successfully but still no lights or boot.
Same state.
Local Service center guys tried everything and failed.
They removed battery tried another battery. No luck.
Any possible way..................?
Its been only 1.5 years and there is not a single scratch.
Phone shines like a polished granite piece.
So sad to see such a good phone die so soon....

Try replacing LCD screen. Search for "Lenovo z2 plus LCD screen replacement" videos or guides. You can do it yourself.

Service center guys told that board is damaged.
After its death, phone is not booting no notification or sound.
How can I confirm that display is the problem.
Phone feels like hard bricked. But no lights.
Edl mode flashing succeeded but still behaves like bricked.

Ok good point.
But if only display is damaged then y it behaves like bricked. I mean rebooting when power button pressed.

Hi folks,
My Z1 Compact has died a few days ago, and I was running Resurrection Remix (CM mod) ROM.
I was playing some music and I put it back on the charger dock with the screen facing backwards, and there was a little chirp coming through the speakers after which the phone was dead.
I figure I must have bricked it by turning it around, I had no idea it could damage the phone.
When connected to the charger it just gave a blinking red light. No sign of life otherwise. Cannot be turned on regardless of key combinations, and does not respond to hard reset button next to the sim card slot.
It's still under warranty so I sent it back for a repair, but the repair center refused it because it has a custom ROM.
Is there any way I can flash the stock ROM when the phone is like this? They're obviously able to reach some part of it because they see the software versions. (they sent me a screenshot)
I had a similar brick two days ago.
Z1c was playing music and suddenly became death. No response to anything, even charging led. I press power + volume up and force reset was done, with blinking led and three vibrations.
But didn't boot.
PC didn't recognize it. Nothing.
Yesterday I connect to wall charger while pressing volume up and it displayed charging status (from 75%) and the It booted.
Now my battery has this status.
Edit: can't upload screenshot. By the way battery staysed at 50% for hours then dropped.

Well I think I bricked mine when I put it the wrong way on the charger dock. I was afraid it would have burnt the circuit board, but since the repair centre can see the phone details over USB I guess it must be ok, so my next guess is that the battery is dead.
They're sending it back to me today and I have nothing to lose by trying different things.
The phone doesn't vibrate though, when connected to the charger the light blinks red. It doesn't react to any button being pressed.

You probably have the battery drop problem that is discussed on the help section...
If you mean this thread here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/son...ttery-reporting-phone-dying-suddenly-t3095120
Then it's definitely not the same issue.
I cannot switch my phone on, I cannot reset it, and I cannot charge it.
To be honest I'm more interested in getting the custom ROM off it so that I can send it back for repair, if it had stock ROM they would have replaced whatever died.
Hello guys,
My phone suddenly turned off and can't turn on since, the led doesn't show that it's charging either, tried entering into boot menu, with volume and power buttons but nothing happens. The only thing that happens is when I plug the charger into phone without battery, the screen becomes blue...

Sounds like you need a new battery. I just changed my battery last week. If your battery is more than a year old, you definitely need a new battery.

Tried that, nothing happens, tried to connect the phone without battery to my laptop, the screen went blue, the laptop made the sound like it connected but nothing is showing neither on laptop nor on phone, screen still is blue.
If i try to press volume down and power while screen is blue, it shuts off then again goes blue...

warranty still covers? if not...id go with a new phone
Out of warranty for quite some time, found a motherboard from a phone with broken display for like ~50$ as i think it's the mobo. I can't afford right now another phone, so my best shot is this one if it's indeed the motherboard
Hey same thing just happened to me did you fix the problem yet? if so how?
Looks to me like a blue screen of death, in that case need to replace the motherboard

So I lost everything on my phone? Picture and stuff?
Before the phone turning brick, I was having these weird blue screen glitches that took almost half of the screen. It would stop after a few seconds, but this type of "glitch" happened a few times. 2 days later, I was on the home screen and the phone screen turned fully blue. It didn't go away so I took out the battery. After that the phone turned on with the boot logo but then shutdown itself. Now the phone won't turn on, charge, go to recovery, or go to download mode. Is there any way to fix this? (I don't have insurance on this :/)
(FIXED) It was "fixed" by leaving it charging, but now the blue screen showed up again. Now phone is probably damaged internally :/

There is no solution to blue screen glitches.it is caused by a current IC that draws more current and heats up within 3 5 seconds. I lost one mobile in this game. I feel sorry for you too, it is hardware issue and won't get any repair.

What is "IC"? Also the phone turned on finally last night but when I connected it to a charger the same blue screen happened and now I can't turn it on again. Thanks for the information though

IC means integrated circuit. It's basically an electronic chip.
BSOD Fix
I had the same issue and was able to fix it temporarily for a few weeks but in the end I had to replace the motherboard from a donner phone. I had a lg d850 att and swapped out the mother board with a d851 from T-Mobile phone I found that had a broken screen and it worked fine after some tweaking. As far as your temporary fix (maybe permanent in your case idk) I took out my motherboard and put it in the oven at 385 degrees and baked it for 10 minutes let it cool off and reinstalled it. Phone came right up and worked like normal. Use some aluminum foil balls to put the motherboard on to keep it off of the surface in your oven that you put the motherboard on. That's it!

Hi guys. My zuk z2 felt into water sadly. I tried to turn off but phone started acting weird. Screen started to on and off. I let the phone in rice like 2 days. So. I don't know what is the problem right now. When i hold power button like 7-8 seconds phone vibrates and notification led flashes like 0.5 second. And that's it. I don't know phone is on or off right now Because screen is not working. But when i try to charge my phone it comes little hot like always. So i guess phone is working but screen is not. I can't go to service center right now because of my personal problems. Can you tell me what is the real problem right now? Is phone really dead?

Led still flashes when i press power button twice. Or connect to charger, usb cable. I flashed oxygen os before water damaged. And that rom has brightness problems. Don't know the exactly problem now. I don't know why led is flashing or why my phone is not working anymore.

I'll keep in my mind. I'm on travel right now sadly. I hope motherboard or screen is not dead yet.
I have had it plugged in all night, and tried the following ;
Hold power for 1 minute
Hold power and volume up for one minute
Hold power and volume down for one minute
Hold all 3 buttons for one minute
None of these worked.
I have plugged it into a PC but there is no connection.
Is there anything else I can do?
*EDIT* Fixed it! https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=83649851&postcount=7
Its dead phone. What do you want some magic to turn it on? If it dosnt want to turn it on its dead phone and you cant do anything about it.
You might be right, but in the 20 years of owning mobile phones I have never had one that simply "died" before. I've ordered a new charge port as I think it might be to blame.

Pressing pwr + volume down or volume up won't turn on device.
You're not saying if device can enter to recovery nor fastboot or If your device is unlocked or not or if you have some screen as the logo or if you have some vibration, some led blinking, or if you let it charging with screen on (it must be screen burning) or if device was off while charging...
The phone has no sign of life. No led, no screen on. Nothing.

Well, there is not much you can do here, it could be a damage at the hardware level, probably in the port charger or at emmc/motherboard.
Also the overcharging or the kernel panic produced for some overheating can make that device won't boot.
The only you should try at software level is this https://c.mi.com/thread-1479882-1-0.html
I fixed it! After replacing the charging port it still didn't work.
However I read somewhere that disconnecting then reconnecting the battery connector inside the phone would work so I tried that and it worked.
Phone back working fully.
