Pixel 2 XL bootloader version TMZ09r - Google Pixel 2 XL Questions & Answers

Bought a used phone which appears to be flashed with a user debug build. Looking to flash it with a factory build but doesn't appear to be able to due to issues with bootloader mismatch with any of the images I download off Google's developer site. have you tried flashing q beta over it as th bootloader on the latest q beta is TMZ30a

I'd start by updating the bootloader, radio and vendor on both slots with fastboot then try again.
Reboot the bootloader after each flash to be sure it changes.
You could also adb sideload the ota, or flash it with twrp

BootLoop on A2 Lite

Hi All
I woke up this morning and powered on my phone and found it was stuck in a bootloop.
Your forums are very helpful and i've managed to work out what i need to do however, i cannot unlock my bootloader as i have not registered a MIUI account against my device.
I ran the command "fastboot oem unlock" but the response is
FAILED (remote: oem unlock is not allowed)
finished. total time: 0.016s
I downloaded the MI Unlock tool and it wont allow me to unlock the device as the error is "Current account is not bound to this device"
(because i didnt need MI account to use this devicce so i didnt register it)
I have run the "fastbook getvar all" command and this is the output.
Does anyone have any ideas of what i can try now please?

Did you go to Settings - About phone and enabled Developer options (tap 7 times on Build number)?
After you enable dev options, tap on enable usb debuging, allow OEM unlock and you should be able to unlock your bootloader via adb.
Note: take a backup because unlockig erases all your data.

thanks for your reply, phone is stuck in boot loop , cannot access phone Dev options.
I did back everything up to google drive, so i just tried a wipe data/reset option which brought me out of the boot loop.
Logged back in with my google account and all important contacts, photos and game data has began to sync , guess those backups are important.
I will close this thread, but hopefully someone else may find useful.
I will also untick auto update now as well.

LG G7 ThinQ bootloader unlocked but can't flash recovery or anything else

I have a Lg G7 Thinq and I did unlock the bootloader with the usual method but once I tried to flash the TWRP recovery... just got the error "cannot flash this partition in unlocked", here below the exact result:

I unlocked developer options, activated OEM and USb debugging.....Both ADB and fastboot can see the device. I am using USB 3.0 port because I have no others.
Just something unusual, each and everytime I reboot to bootloader i have to reinstall the android fastboot interface driver, otherwise fastboot won't even see the device...but once installed they give no problems.

Just drag the image recovery after typing the command. There should be space in the end of command before dragging the img file

If you like to flash custom roms. Flash stock rom android 10 and then flash custom recovery

I unlocked developer options, activated OEM and USb debugging.....Both ADB and fastboot can see the device. I am using USB 3.0 port because I have no others.
Just something unusual, each and everytime I reboot to bootloader i have to reinstall the android fastboot interface driver, otherwise fastboot won't even see the device...but once installed they give no problems.

Lg G7 stock bootloader does not allow flashing images.

Root after Android 11 Upgrade

I have the HD1907 variant.
My phone was rooted with Magisk on Android 10.
It automatically updated to Android 11, without any prompts. Now I am stuck without root. I tried gpz method to boot into twrp which has worked in the past with A10.
It stays stuck on the Fastboot Logo. Bootloader is still unlocked. Is there anyway to get the boot image so that I can patch it with Magisk? Does anyone have a patched one already for the HD1907 variant? I only found the global variant, not T-Mobile variant?

Is there anyway to fastboot boot twrp.img instead of flashing to recovery?
I used to be able to just boot an image without flashing. I am nervous flashing especially if I have no way to get stock rom for my model.

Looks like we may be able to modify abl_a by using this article as a rough guide to install and access phone via QFIL... here. Boot into QFIL/backup partitions/modify as needed. (not the rest of the guide.)

Does anyone actually get into unlock the bootloader? Is there any TWRP or custom ROM support?

Same here. I have already enabled developer options and set OEM unlocking to ON.

Ok so I've been racking my brain trying to find a solution to this as well and in my ultimately fruitless attempt at doing so I stumbled upon this.
I ran

And it returned "Waiting for devices". Does anyone know what that -i 0x1bbb comes from? Here's the original article I found it in. AND it is an Alcatel device that they are referencing, which TCL and Alcatel are both owned by TCTMobile. Hopefully this helps get us a step closer. I'm just not professionally trained well enough to decipher where that -i 0x1bbb comes from or why that seems to be important to the device manufacturer specifically in this case.

Pixel 4xl stuck on wierd fastboot

After flashing on modified linage with user root trust all was working fine. After few hours of watching youtube my phone unexpectly turned off. (It was happening before, possibly dying battery) Then it booted with charger.
Now it only boots in fastboot
Device-state: error and NOS production: error (Device-state must be Locked) (photo please)
Enter reason: failed to load/verify boot image (Why? Boot slots 100% fine, rebooted before without errors)
Or enter reason: Error boot prepare
Problems:
Cant flash anything, stock too
Cant switch active slot (a/b)
Cant use adb(recuse) and other modes. Only power off, start, barcode
Secondary problems:
I think i will spend all my savings if i will decide to replace motherboard...
Back of my phone peeled off a little bit, so it is no more water resistant

Now i am trying to freeze it

UPD left on the balcony for the night, discharged, no result. Same error
UPD2 left in freezer, 30 mins. No changes

After rest in freezer, it reboots in bootloader after Power off option, when charging.
P.S after that battery related crash fastboot returns me:
FAILED (remote: 'error getting device locked state No Response')
to a lot of commands

UPD: Sent to service center. i think that motherboard unexpectly died
