[Q] How to know if the bootloader of my Xperia E (C1505) is properly unlocked?

Hi guys,
First post on this forum, so I apologize in advance if this is not the right section. I have an Xperia E phone and I'm following a guide I found on the net to install Cyanogenmod in it. In order to do it, I followed the official Sony guide to unlock the bootloader, they sent me the unlock code and I used fastboot to enter the code into the phone. After that, the phone got stuck in a bootloop and I had to use a program called Flashtool in order to flash the original ROM into the phone again.
Now, when I enter *#*#7378423#*#* on the phone's dial pad and go to "Service info > Configuration", I can see the following message:
Code:
Rooting status:
Bootloader unlock: Yes
:
The weird thing is every guide I've read on the net about unlocking Xperia devices claim the above message should be "Bootloader unlocked: Yes", so I'm slightly confused (note the difference between "unlock" in the above message and "unlocked"). I guess it is actually unlocked because I was able to use Sony's Flashtool to flash the original ROM, but some clarification on this would be useful since I'm planning to install Cyanogenmod and I wouldn't like to brick the phone by flashing a custom ROM on an unlocked phone.
Thanks in advance for any help!
I finally was able to install CM11 in the phone, so I guess the bootloader was unlocked after all. Now I'm having a couple of issues, but I'll open a new thread for that, since it's a different problem.
Regards.

Bootloader Is Unlocked, but says "bad key"

Hi, i unlock the bootloader in my Moto G5. I tried root and TWRP from this post https://forum.xda-developers.com/g5-plus/how-to/how-to-root-moto-g5-plus-t3579659
and fail. So i install stock rom with ADB. It works fine but when start phone i have this information:
"Your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted. ID- Bad key"
Is that a problem with that ? I have unlock bootloader ? That " bad key" information is cinfused me

It will always say that on stock rom with unlocked bootloader
It will say n/a if you are using a custom rom
Nothing to worry about - obviously don't try to flash any stock rom otas until you fully reflash stock firmware
You can always flash a modded boot splash screen to get rid of the your phone is unlocked warning
So if I notify "Your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted. ID- Bad key"
I do not have anything to worry about ?

Nothing at all to worry about just flash a modded boot IMG but do not apply any ota update as it will soft brick your device but I would go all out custom as it makes the phone works as it should and not buggy software lenovo put in it
So right now i can root, twrp and custom ?

You need to flash twrp through fastboot the flash custom ROM of your choice then flash root
---------- Post added at 04:23 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:19 PM ----------
Flash twrp through fastboot
Download a custom ROM with gapps and super su
Put custom ROM on to internal memory or SD card with gapps and root package
Boot into twrp format data cache art system
Then install ROM with gapps and root package through twrp
Once flashed reboot into custom ROM
Am unable to unlock bootloader of my moto g5 plus its showing unlock data unavailable
Please help me
you are in the wrong section, here is moto g5
Motorola decided it would be a good idea to warn the user they have unlocked their bootloader ever time they power on their device lmao
Nothing to worry about though, it's just an indicator. I suggest flashing one of these as they also hide the n/a: https://forum.xda-developers.com/g5/themes/motorola-boot-logo-n-removed-t3663735
sorry for noob question, but i recently bought moto g5s plus from a person he didn't inform me about the oem status of the phone, and as i can see right now it shows a unlocked oem and while rebooting is shows a infinity war background wallpaper before the moto "M" logo + bad key plain text and everything is okay with it.
why so and is there anything to worry with it? help me if somebody aware about this customized thing.

flashed the lastest firmware via Lenovo Moto Smart Assistant everything is fine now just bootloader remained unlock.
I did flashing twrp after unlocking bootloader and the twrp was flashed successfully.
After repeating two times the twrp always gets deleted and it shows no command in recovery on my Moto g5s plus

Post in the correct forum - this is for g5 cedric not g5s plus
Anyway
I'm guessing you are stock rom and you haven't swiped to allow modifications and disabled dm-verity (by for example flashing magisk)
Also make sure you are flashing the recovery and not just booting it
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
I did the same command fastboot flash recovery and I did allowed allow modification
But still it got deleted
By the way I'm on stock ROM

Like I said in previous post - if you're using a stock rom you also need to disable dm-verity and then restart your phone normally

These coolicool phones always come with the wrong firmware install, the simple solution to that is to flash the correct firmware which is plain old RETAIL. Solved. That's for anyone who might have or end up with one of these phones.
As for your phone and since you're in the situation you are I'd flash VZW pie. That isn't the correct firmware for your phone, but you've got a locked BL with VZW on it now and nothing is working. Since your ultimate goal is to flash pie anyways, that's what I'd do. Maybe that will clean up your system enough to enable oem unlock. If you can get your BL unlocked, then you're half way there. Surely by now you've realized that you haven't got many if any options.

You need to elaborate. Is oem unlocking grey out? Are you signed into google services? Do you have wifi and/or radio?

You shouldn't flash firmware from other variants like att, etc. However, if you're able to flash those firmwares and not get any permission denied errors then your bootloader is unlocked, which is good. If you have NOT flashed a pie firmware, good, do NOT do it until everything is up and running and you're sorted. If you have, then you'll need to use pie firmware to fix it since once you flash a pie modem there is no going back to an oreo modem.
Run this command from bootloader/fastboot mode and post back your output.
PHP:
fastboot getvar all

Verizon Moto Z2 Force

So just as a background, I used to be into the root/rom scene with my old Samsung Charge and then My Motorola Razr MAXX Smartphone circa 2013-ish. As Verizon locked down I stepped away but I found something interesting the other day. I just upgraded to the Edge+ and was playing around with my Moto Z2 Force Edition. Im taking it with me to spain to get a local sim inserted and be a local number while I am there for a few months. I did a factory reset and let it update to Android 9 and then hit the build number 7 times to enable developer options and found an option called "OEM Unlocking" with a description of "Allow the bootloader to be unlocked".
Perhaps with the age of the phone, Motorola has lifted its lock of the bootloader to be able to be rooted? or is this just wishful thinking. Now that it is an alternate phone I would love a chance to get back in to the scene, root it with a recovery and throw the latest Lineage on it or whatever is available. with the ability to unlock the bootloader, might a TWRP recovery work now?

All Moto devices with Android 5? have this option it doesn't necessarily mean it can be unlocked.
Most Moto devices that are not carrier-branded can now be unlocked.

If the bootloader is unlocked you can flash custom recoveries, roms, and kernels.
