a50 become pretty warm when i play pubg (smooth extreme fps) in antutu temperature of cpu rises to 65 degree only after 5 min of gaming . i am confused because a50 is based on 10 nm architecture doesnt suppose to overheat that's confirmed by many gaming comparisons in youtube between a50 ,a70 ,p30lite ,redmi note 7 pro
does anybody has the same problem?

the temprature below 40% is normal
if you have a rooted device you can reduce the heating issue by under clocking your device normally device working 1.6 xiaomi have a overclocked processor
use "nofriills" or "kernel auditior" reduce cpu usage to maximum 1.2 and
minimum 300 this wiil consume little bit of of performance but reduce the
heating and save some battery
My op3 has problem Idk what Even when battery is 39-40 soc throttles alot This is my geekbench scores But it is way worse in gaming
Pubg, fortnite lags alot
I think as it is not heating too much I think it may be the thermal issues as I had switched to leaked pie firmware (I didn't use the phone before I just bought it days ago) Soo Where can I get stock thermals or can anyone attach it?
Tbis is the score when battery is 33 and I don't remember about cpu and Gpu
This is the score with temperature in the screenshot
I guess its a software issue as on soo low temperatures it is throttling alot
Hello,
I am about to purchase the Mi 10T, have a final question. The only reason I am going for a 865 phone is that I am hoping it heats up WAY less than cheaper cpu phones. I want to be able to play a heavy game for, say, 2 hours straight and not have the phone overheating. Will the 10T be able to handle that?
Thanks
Well, playing genshin impact for over 4 hours continuously with my redmi k30 4g doesn't heat over 40 degree Celsius.
I'll tell you after a week of usage, mine will arrive on oct 23 if you can wait until tho

Literally bought it 5 minutes ago. I figured I would just return if it's not doing great temp and battery wise.
Had the OP8 which was 865. So far not that warm to touch. and before that I had the F2 Pro which was the same. so all good. the only device I had which was kinda warm was the MI 10 5G

I'm getting 60 celsius on cpu, 40 degrees on battery, after about 1 hour of gaming using 80%gpu 40%cpu, 18 celsius local temp.
I have no idea if the temps are good or not tho. What do you think?
Based on my experience i have stressed test the device using Antutu when the unit reached batt temp of 47 and up and goes back to homescreen when you're navigating fps will only be 60 or less automatic even though the screen refresh rate is set to 144hz in settings i dont know if this is a way to dissipate the heat or issue. It will go back to normal after 2-3 mins or when the batt temp goes down to 44 below based on my observation.
Been through the OnePlus device but did not encounter this kind of issue after playing a game
Just trying to play Donkey Kong Country Returns on the Snapdragon 860 Xiaomi Pad and I notice fps drops on 1x and 4x. Try every setting, nothing changes. Even Gpu usage is only half.
Then I enabled fps counter and whenever it hits 30 C max it throttles to super low fps and doesn't go any bit higher. Explains the stutters I had in other Games.
30 C is nothing, feels like a scam, it runs like a low-end device.
Is there any fix? Any tutorial that works? With root or so? Just 35 C would be enough, It’s just 10 C here too. If not don’t buy Xiaomi for games, it’s not playable at all! It’s like a bad joke.
Over here the same problem and stuttering in fixed 60hz emulators

Sucks man, surprised no ones talking about this. The device is easily strong enough for 3DS and even some Switch games, but with this maybe it can't even do some older emulators smoothly, will do some more testing.
So here is the Video:
Flickering is due to the video recording only, but you can still see that it runs fine until the temp hits 30c, then it becomes very slow. You can see the graphic turn orange.
hopefully a developer can port a kernel of the xiaomi x3 pro that they share the same soc and all these problems can be solved, since I bought it for emulation and it does not work smooth as silk
I hope so! But I found a fix for this problem at least, you have to use Citra, not Citra MMJ, there seems to be a problem with that version. In normal Citra it runs at 60 fps at over 35 C but it still has some frame drops from time to time.

I have Poco X3 Pro... it does have thermal throttling also... but I managed to get rid of throttling by flashing a HAVOC OS custom rom...
MIUI is known for throttling SOCs...
I have the same problem when playing Hearthstone. Anyway to turn off thermal throttling completely ?
While playing games my Red Magic 6 phone does get quite warm even with the built in fan. Is the Dual Core Cooler or Pro Ice Dock for the Red Magic 6 worth buying to keep the temps down.
While playing games like Genshin Impact temps can reach somewhere around 37°C to around 40°C on medium settings (or 48°C when playing at max settings)
The typical normal CPU temperatures with mobile devices range between 30 to 35 °C continuous browsing considering the ambient temperature around is close to 27 to 30 °C. When it comes to heavy gaming the temperatures soar at 40 to 44 °C.
Take note that a high CPU temperature is not caused by the CPU itself. Games generally do not put pressure on CPU, but on the GPU. The GPU usage for the 3D HD games are generally very high, and can cause such temperature increase. So yes, that kind of 'GPU' temperature is normal while gaming

Hi there,
May i reconfirm again which temperature is the most concerned part for a gaming smartphone? Is it its cpu or the battery?
I experienced quite frequently overheat issue as cpu temperature could reach 50°c while the battery boost up till 45°c and it boasting rapidly until you can feel the stress when you are gaming in warm surrounding.
Attached is my reference using cpu/gpu meter notification app

I can only measure the battery temperature on this phone. And it reports that the temps rise from 35°C to 47°C - 50°C. Right now I haven't played anything so temps are really low, but this is the only way I can measure it.
