I've just switched from IDEA to JIO last week, and I've been having trouble to get the volte working. It has been working in patches but it's really not a pleasant experience at all. VoLTE icon shows all the time in the notification bar, but it's actually not working all the time. I'd like to ask you all what is the best combination of baseband + ROM for JIO volte to work seamlessly.
FYI: I was on Indian ZUI 2.5 baseband earlier, then I flashed the following baseband https://forum.xda-developers.com/le...oreo-firmwarebaseband-twrp-flashable-t3776254
but the problem remains. I've tried this baseband with almost all major PIE ROM's but nothing seems to work.

Jio sim user here. Everything was fine until I decided to move to another ROM from Community Build. Found that VoLTE is not working on any other ROM, not even Oxygen stock. I tried locking bootloader and going back completely to stock but still VoLTE is dead. Don't know what I messed up but any help would be appreciated.
Every thing is working fine with freedom os try that. Go jio

if you don't have a proper reply please don't comment. I asked about VoLTE not the Jio app. I know I can use it too.
At the moment no other Marshmallow ROM for the oneplus 3 supports VoLTE by itself expect the Community Builds. All 7.0 Nougat ROMs do give VoLTE support. I myslef am on AOKP N.
Flash a Nougat ROM and you'll get back your VoLTE.
I'm on CB 3.5.3 and I can't see VoLTE settings, here two pictures:
What's the problem?
Is the "Enhanced 4G LTE Mode" On under the Cellular networks setting?
No, I haven't.
VoLTE work around on stock / CB
Clean Flash Stock / CB rom using twrp .
You first have to extract 4 files contained in the zip file attached .
Now make a efs backup from twrp
Now go in twrp>backups>device serial number folder>the most recent backup you made folder
And paste the 4 files and replace them with your efs files Then restore EFS back up only using twrp.
That worked for my friend on 3.2.6 stock who completely lost VoLTE , tried every thing found this solution by hit and trail hope it works for you as well.

Misleading
I can't find the cellular network settings options after the nougat update on my OnePlus 3
Did you try stock Nougat? I can no longer see the 'VoLTE' icon in Nougat but voice calls work fine without the need of any app. In Marshmallow VoLTE icon used to appear. If you see '"Enhanced 4G LTE Mode" option in cellular settings menu VoLTE should work.

Maybe im selecting the wrong option but even though i ticked the enhanced lte option im still not getting VoLte on nougat.
As soon as I initiate a call it automatically drops to 3g.

Strange. Not sure why it is happening so. I got a Nexus 5x running Nougat too and it also doesn't show any VoLTE icon but everything works fine. Data, VoLTE calls etc.
I had flashed AOKP 21/2 build. It was working great for a week with little overheat problem . Nothing serious though . But from today onwards it started restarting on its own. It happened couple of times and now all the bugs people have mentioned starting showing up. It makes that crackling sound when headphone is inserted and won't recognize it . Network won't come after the restart. That brightness fluctuation and almost everything. Does anyone has the same problem ? Cause for a week it was working great. even my video recording was fine.

The modem you have installed must have come from a stock om with volte support in order to continue to enjoy volte on your custom rom. the custom roms do not provide anny modem software and hence if your stock rom did not have volte you will not have it after flashing a custom rom.
Volte was working perfectly fine 15 days ago. Used many custom roms, worked perfectly. Suddenly, it stopped working. I tried different roms(it worked previously on these), no use. When I checked the IMS status, it says not registered. LTE is working fine , but volte doesn't. How do i get volte to work ??

i have tried each and every oreo rom available for lenovo p2 and using jio roaming
i am facing volte loosing issue after certain reboots in every rom,
i tried swapping sim cards, flashing stock rom using fastboot and did all the ota updates, tried adding ims to apn type, adding some build prop lines and also tried vreating new apn ! still no success
not facing same issue in los by code elixir but dont want to use it as it has less customizations.
any other solution available for this problem ?
i know most of the developers dont use volte so dont care much about volte but most of the indians are using Jio som cards for calling and internet accessing purpose
So devs i humbly request you to find solution for this issue...
Ya its a big issue in using Oreo rom. I am back to Lineage os 14.1 .
Flash the modem of the stock ROM when you lose the connectivity. It worked for me.

VoLTE is a PIA for developer's. not just because the code is proprietary (meaning no access to the source code).
the Dev's so far have not focused to fix VoLTE for Oreo hence the issues. they focus on other major more important fixes first.
Oreo is a major re-write to C++ compared to Nougat.
VoLTE on 14.1 is stable because the Dev's have figured out a proper way to make it work. Which is not yet the case with Oreo. so if you want stable VoLTE stick with Official LOS 14.1.

How to flash stock modem .
I am on AEX.
---------- Post added at 07:50 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:46 AM ----------
I think AOSP roms have volte problems.
When I am on AOKP os volte working fine..
Yesterday I flashed AEX which is based on AOSP.
Volte gone.
One way to get back the volte is by changing the sim card from 1 to 2 or vice versa. This will get you volte. And then if you want to change the sim cards back to original then do so. The volte will stick.
Other one is, flash the stock ROM modem or an LOS modem. It worked for me with stock and RR modem.

Hello!
I have lost VoLTE and VoWiFi after updating to OneUI 5.1. I I have tried factory reset, but no dice. After downgrading to OneUI 5.0 it works normally again. Anybody else experiencing the same?
What does mean? Lost from status bar?
I have lost VoLTE and VoWIFi functionality, hence it does not show in the status bar. The toggles are present in settings, though. I am suspecting that there are some 'under the hood' changes in 5.1 in this respect which my carrier has not anticipated. It works flawlessly under 5.0. I have tried several times with OTA update from 5.0 and then again clean install of 5.1 via Odin 3 3.14.4 after first having downgraded. Unfortunately nothing works. I'm on 5.0 now and it works. Gonna call my Swedish carrier tomorrow.
So it everything is OK now under OneUI 5.1. Got VoLTE (and WoWiFi) back - the VoLTE status bar icon is missing, though, which is a bit confising since it was/is present under OneUI 5. Tried to get i to show by fiddling with GoodLock (and Quick star), but it will not show. Seems like Sammy made a change in the status bar icons at least for my CSC (NEE by the way)
Hi. I lost 2nd Physical sim option after update to OneUI 5.1. How to downgrade? Before on 5.0 it was working fine. Please help
