4.21.40.352 firmware version - ZenFone 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi!
I recently received a Zenfone 2 Z00AD, but it's firmware version it's 2.20.40.206. I tried to update to Android 6.0, but I can't do it from the update app.
Also, I tried to download the latest firmware from internet, but all the links are very, very slow and laggy.
Could someone share the ZIP (or RAW) file of the 4.21.40.352 firmware version, please?

It'll be not different, as the recovery is for 4.4.x

[Q] Can't downgrade from 4.4.2(B513) to 4.2.2(B1XX)

Dear xda's,
I will downgrade my Huawei Ascend P6-U06 from KitKat to Jellybean. I used the TWRP Installer 1.1.3b to change the stock recovery from TWRP to stock.
How can i install the stock jellybean boot.img? When i try to install the B118,B125 the update process failed with the dload method.
I don't know what i do yet. Nothing works and with adb/fastboot I do not know about me. Can someone help me?
I'm desperate...
Hello. Search the forum. You will find a fille that is used to switch betwen kitkat and jellybean. First you flash that fille like a normal update. After this flash you can flash the normal jellybean update. If you cant find it ill search my comp and post the name of the fille.
P6联通 EMUI2.0 回退中转包 - this is the name of the UPDATE.APP that is the intermediar downgrade from jelly to KK.
I foud it on this forum.

"not if you flash this intermediate update.app

Huawei said it's the only way to downgrade from KK.
I used it and it worked flawlessly."
Good luck.

Cannot find my Note 4 at&t baseband version for marshmallow on the internet.

I have a Samsung Note 4 N901A running on 5.1.1
There's no marshmallow update available OTA. Also I cannot find the Marshmallow ROM that matches my baseband version on the internet.
My baseband version is N910AUCS2DOI5.
I want to ask will there be any consequences if I flash the ROM which is meant for the samsung note 4 at&t but doesn't match my baseband version?
Any help will be highly appreciated.

You can use odin to flash EPH5 files. Your baseband will change after every update. Longest it starts with N910AUC you are safe to flash
Clicking from Edge of Galaxy

Had to flash my phone to the stock DOI2 since there was no other way to go from my baseband version (i.e. DOI5) to EPH5 (marshmallow).
Then I went through a series of upgrades (DOI2 > DOI4 > DOI6) finally reaching to EPH5 (i.e. DOI6>.EPH5)
Now I'm on EPH5 Marshmallow. There's one more update available labelled EPH7. Shall I upgrade to it?
Thanks !
Odin can work from any baseband...

Seen Root For

I was cruising the net for that all important answer us AT&T Galaxy Note 5 users have been looking for and seen that if on N920AUCU4EQC6 firmware the AT&T Galaxy Note 5 could be rooted. So I checked my phone and it says I am N920AUCS4EQH1. What's the difference? Well finally finding out the QC6 firmware is the first of 7.0 to the Note 5 and the QH1 is the 4th update of 7.0 on the Note 5.
So my question is this. Is there anyway to downgrade to QC6 firmware so I can root
Or
Can I root from QH1
Thanks in advance

My firmware build number is NRD90M.N920AUCS4EQH1, and the version of KNOX is 2.7.1. Were you able to successfully root your phone? Many Thanks!!
Just download the ODIN files for QC6 and install them via ODIN and you will be on QC6.
People said the same thing about it not being rootable on the Verizon Galaxy S6. So no one ever tried.
Low and behold the CF-AutoRoot that came out for the G920V actually did work when someone tried a couple months later.
The first Nougat build for a few devices were actually rootable when all previous version had not been.

diff between baseband and bootloader (Kernel 4.4 help)

I am going to try 4.4 kernel based rom so was wondering about the above question i.e what's the diff between baseband and bootloader or both are used interchangably?
I had updated my baseband before with the zui 3.5 China version, so can i go ahead and install 4.4 kernel based roms?
Also i had installed deodexed zui 4.0.233 and it was working properly
Same question i want to install kernet 4.4 based rom but i don't know what to do .
Friend if you already had installed Zui 2.5 indiana installs on your mobile as factory rom can install any rom with 4.4 kernel without problems
---------- Post added at 05:14 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:10 PM ----------
This baseband practically never changes always stays at 1.70x and the baseband version as I said if you had the Zui 2.5 installed Indian your baseband your zuk is already updated. That of zui 3.5+ is just to have some more current things does not have much relevance
