BootLoop on A2 Lite

Hi All
I woke up this morning and powered on my phone and found it was stuck in a bootloop.
Your forums are very helpful and i've managed to work out what i need to do however, i cannot unlock my bootloader as i have not registered a MIUI account against my device.
I ran the command "fastboot oem unlock" but the response is
FAILED (remote: oem unlock is not allowed)
finished. total time: 0.016s
I downloaded the MI Unlock tool and it wont allow me to unlock the device as the error is "Current account is not bound to this device"
(because i didnt need MI account to use this devicce so i didnt register it)
I have run the "fastbook getvar all" command and this is the output.
Does anyone have any ideas of what i can try now please?

Did you go to Settings - About phone and enabled Developer options (tap 7 times on Build number)?
After you enable dev options, tap on enable usb debuging, allow OEM unlock and you should be able to unlock your bootloader via adb.
Note: take a backup because unlockig erases all your data.

thanks for your reply, phone is stuck in boot loop , cannot access phone Dev options.
I did back everything up to google drive, so i just tried a wipe data/reset option which brought me out of the boot loop.
Logged back in with my google account and all important contacts, photos and game data has began to sync , guess those backups are important.
I will close this thread, but hopefully someone else may find useful.
I will also untick auto update now as well.

Help is needed, A hard brick (maybe?) after re-partition

Hello,
I was trying to re-partition the system size but all goes wrong, i believe there are also another partitions which got erased, I've only fastboot working, tried to flash a fastboot ROM but when it comes to system I always get this message "remote: partition not found" , tried to flash the system.img from fastboot but the same message, the same goes for userdata.
How can i re-write the partitions from the fastboot if it possible? what else i can do or my device is gone forever?! Again, I've only fastboot working.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I accidentally deleted the system partition on the phone using adb. Now I am not able to boot into recovery, or flash recovery, or even flash the fastboot rom, and I am stuck on the fastboot mode.

I was updating the partition table to increase the system partition size. During which the phone accidentally turned off and the system partition was gone..! I need to somehow correct the partition table using fastboot.

I guess you did take notes from the sizes to have how revert it and the tutorial that you followed also has a method in case you want return back like this https://iwf1.com/how-to-re-partitio...-all-options-included-change-size-fs-type-etc
I'm not sure if at least the boot partition keeps alive, in this case if you could use the Gparted file or either OrangeFox/TWRP has in-built a way to repair it.
Flash the custom recovery on the boot partition using

fastboot flash boot orangefox.img
and then just reboot, like in the boot is now the recovery your device will reboot to recovery theoretically.

No, adb commands won't work as you can't boot to system.
You didn't try what I suggested, I didn't say to try to boot to OrangeFox but to flash it on the boot partition instead of on the recovery partition, I know it's unusual but don't care about, if the flash is successful then don't type any more command but reboot with button power, it has to make its first parade In the boot image where now is OrangeFox.
For the rest I'm not sure if the info from your device was hidden cause i didn't see a return of the device iD

Firstly extract the OrangeFox recovery image from the zip, then rename it for example to just orange, you will have orange.img then type or copy/paste from here:

Ok then I have to assume that you did for example: "fastboot flash boot OrangeFoxRecovery.img" and then rebooted but nothing. Try next with "fastboot reboot" instead of power button, just a note, name of images can't contain spaces.
Did you remember the site/thread that you were based on to repartition, maybe they provide a method to revert it.

Yup, I did the same. The recovery image file name doesn't contain any spaces or special characters.
I followed https://forum.hovatek.com/thread-32750.html this article. However, I did not find any info on how to revert the changes.

I did read what you wrote in the other thread: "fastboot flash boot OrangefoxRecovery.img
This command executes successfully, but after restarting the phone using fastboot boot OrangefoxRecovery.img or using the [power + volume up] button, the devices goes to the fastboot mode."
And just to be clear what I suggested to do is first flash the recovery image in the boot partition, at this point your command is ok
But then you tried "starting the phone using fastboot boot OrangefoxRecovery.img or using the [power + volume up] button"
And I suggested that after to flash the recovery image onto the boot partition you don't execute any command nor try to boot to recovery using vol up+pwr buttons BUT simply press ONLY power button (approximately 10 seconds) till your device try to boot to system, of course it can't boot to system but it is expecting that when it goes to the boot stage then it will find recovery image in the boot partition.
If this action correctly done (not like you were doing) doesn't result then you could consider the next:
I did read in the guide that is needed to temporarily erased the partitions that are between system and userdata and those are boot, recovery and something more then I guess in this process your device reboots inadvertently and get corrupted but you did format them so probably exists a method re-format them through fastboot at least the recovery and/or boot partition to get them working, if you can boot to recovery then probably you could repair the other partitions.

LG G7 ThinQ bootloader unlocked but can't flash recovery or anything else

Hi all,
I have a Lg G7 Thinq and I did unlock the bootloader with the usual method but once I tried to flash the TWRP recovery... just got the error "cannot flash this partition in unlocked", here below the exact result:

I unlocked developer options, activated OEM and USb debugging.....Both ADB and fastboot can see the device. I am using USB 3.0 port because I have no others.
Just something unusual, each and everytime I reboot to bootloader i have to reinstall the android fastboot interface driver, otherwise fastboot won't even see the device...but once installed they give no problems.

Already done. Doesn't work. It does not boot on TWRP whatever you do; tried with different TWRP files too, it's the same

Cmd Command: fastboot flash:raw boot_a "location of img"
Retype command : flatboot flash:raw boot_b "location of img"
Just drag the image recovery after typing the command. There should be space in the end of command before dragging the img file

If you like to flash custom roms. Flash stock rom android 10 and then flash custom recovery

I unlocked developer options, activated OEM and USb debugging.....Both ADB and fastboot can see the device. I am using USB 3.0 port because I have no others.
Just something unusual, each and everytime I reboot to bootloader i have to reinstall the android fastboot interface driver, otherwise fastboot won't even see the device...but once installed they give no problems.

Lg G7 stock bootloader does not allow flashing images.

Root after Android 11 Upgrade

I have the HD1907 variant.
My phone was rooted with Magisk on Android 10.
It automatically updated to Android 11, without any prompts. Now I am stuck without root. I tried gpz method to boot into twrp which has worked in the past with A10.
It stays stuck on the Fastboot Logo. Bootloader is still unlocked. Is there anyway to get the boot image so that I can patch it with Magisk? Does anyone have a patched one already for the HD1907 variant? I only found the global variant, not T-Mobile variant?

Is there anyway to fastboot boot twrp.img instead of flashing to recovery?
I used to be able to just boot an image without flashing. I am nervous flashing especially if I have no way to get stock rom for my model.

Thanks. I went ahead and did it. Magisk works fine. Edxposed shows active but the modules aren't actually working
