I Don't Think So, Nothing Has Been Fixed , It Seems Just A Regular Security Patch. Lets Wait And See For Other Members Response.
Testing in Serbia ???️???️?????
First 10 min.
*Less aggressive ram management, solid multitasking (now I'm afraid for the battery life, but we will see).
*Better 4G signal
For now...
Adiós muchachos!
Yup, prompted here in Brazil.
I've just downloaded it here in Mexico. It seems they have disabled the double tap to wake functionality. For me this is great, the phone kept unlocking inside my pocket.

Received in Greece where I'm currently at.
Not sure about any fixes yet though
Got it in Belgium an hour ago. Everything works as it should so far.
No one else noticed the weird screen rotation bug? When you rotate the screen from landscape to portrait?

Coming from a Redmi Note 4 with LineageOS, i do miss DTTW. Especially when i'm riding my bike and have the phone in a waterproof cover. I wish I could double tap the screen instead of trying to find the power button through the zipper on the right side of the holder.
Hello, please provide OTA link as soon as it is posible, thanks

Hello all,
As the title says, what is your opinion about Nougat? After reading so many bug related posts here and in reddit, im frustrated to update to the newest version of android. How does it compares to marsmalow in terms of battery, performance and bugs? Is it safe to update now, of do your suggest to wait a little longer for a bugfix update? And finally, if your suggest me to update, do your recomend any custom rom/ kernel?
Thanks in advance.
Fine, I love my 5X, but there are some bugs that I have:
*In Whatsapp audios or call if I put my face in the phone (or simple if I cover the distance sensor) the screen goes black and I can't turn on again...maybe if a press the power button 3 times the screen turns on. that is REALLY annoying!, I dont know if is a software problem or if my tempered glass is the real problem...
*The screen rotates very easy...sometimes I move my phone just a little and the screen rotates...
*When screen turns off it doesnt fade "slowly"...its something cosmetic but I dont like it haha

Hm, i dont use whatsapp so i dont mind if there is a bug about it. Do you have the same problem during calls too? Also, what about battery and performance?
I have these bugs:-
1. I have a problem with the battery percentage toggle, i change it to like "everytime" but sometimes it auto switches back to "only when charging", in 6.0.1 there was only an option to show percentage which worked fine.
2. I also have a problem after sep security update the swipe up from overview to open multiwindow doesnt work, it is on in the settings tho, it worked on the first 7.0 aug security one but now it doesnt.

This features disable automatically when you go to System ui tuner. Just enable it and don't touch this settings.
Also, I have a bug with double icon of alarm clock in status bar, like on screenshot. Reboot can fix it.

I think i can live with a few bugs. What about the more important things like battery life and performance? How do they compare to marsmalow?

I recently reverted back to marshmallow, I was getting horrible battery drain. Like 10℅ an hr while in my pocket. I had to leave it on battery saver mode if I wasn't going to be near a charger. But besides that it's awesome, love all the new features.
Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
For me, unlocking the device harder. I have to swipe further in order to do it, and it also happens when I want to swipe a notification at the lock screen.
In addition Spotify song playing from google now through an Android Wear does not work unless the Nexus is unlocked.
Finally, battery life is not really god in my case.
After reading your replies, i decided to stay in marsmalow for a couple of months. Thanks everyone
It's only been a couple days for me but everything is working well on the stock OTA update so far.
I like the new features and Doze is working brilliantly again so there is a noticable improvement to battery life.

I'm on stock+ 7.0 Nougat everything work very Well no problème here on Nougat .... Very good 7.0 Nougat
Root systemless ok
Magisk ok
Pokémon go ok
My mother ok euh yes she Can use my nexus 5x
Battery life 2 days with no game , 1 day with Pokémon go or if i play so hard 7 hours
I'm happy on 7.0 but i would like xposed and custom Rom with theme engine , substratum is to young
After updating to 43 OTA 004, Faceunlock is no longer instant. now you see first the lockscreen flash and then UI slide in. I went back to 43 OTA 003, but same situation.
before it was just press powerbutton/doubletap screen and the screen turned on showing instantly UI whereever you left off. just like all the reviewers showed it. I dont have file to go back to inital firmware 001 .... :/
VERY DISAPPOINTING, it really breaks the "instant" feeling. hope they fix it soon.
meanwhile, no speed increase in fingerprint reader. still slightly slower than OP3.
UPDATE: solved - it is Nova Launcher with a custom wallpaper that caused this -> back to Oneplus launcher, set new wallpaper = FaceUnlock instant again!
Not a terrible trade-off for more security.
FP sensor still fast af.

i can upload side-by-side vid tonight.
Hope everyone is reporting these "bugs" to OnePlus instead of just reporting them here.

ewww i hope not, then there is no difference than what was on the OP3/T smart lock, i liked the option that u didn't have to swipe up, i will prob return mine if this is the case.

sooo, not security focused then. also doesnt explain why it now shows the lockscreen, instead of unlocking straight to UI... like with fingerprint

thanks, ok then i did something to cause it... hm too bad
Here on 4.7.2 its also slow.
I had the same problem and factory reset: face unlock is back to being instant, and the finger print reader is noticeably faster. It is troublesome, however, that an OTA forced me to factory reset a 3 day old phone...
I have also reset after update but not solved.
I updated homescreen and lockscreen wallpaper with a custom one and experienced a slight drop on face unlock speed. Meaning that I was able to see the lockscreen for 1/10 of a second before the homescreen was there. I reverted the wallpaper choosing one of oneplus 's and face unlock speed was back to instant. Just a tip.
Works fine for me. I'm on FreedomOS based on Oxygen 4.7.2.

Hi all, I am just wondering if anyone on the latest stable release 9.5.8.0 can confirm the App Vault it toggleable for the home screen. I dislike using it and prefer to disable it (which I currently can on the latest dev build).
Example: https://www.dropbox.com/s/jtyabenqn5ndn56/Screenshot_2018-05-24-19-27-09-272_com.miui.home.png?dl=0
Thanks in advance,
Kaji.
Nobody running this latest stable?
Few are comments, some commenting on a battery drop, no in-built alarm sound, and so on. Probably because of similar comments, some still waiting from updating and commenting on your question.

No worries, are these comments regarding the latest build? If so I probably wouldn't bother updating. Just wanted to check this one thing with the hope the build was actually working fully.

Like, completely gone from launcher or the setting is not there? FYI, the app vault toggle in my screenshot disables the shelf left of the home page of your launcher which includes notes, calander, search etc.
Thanks!
Ah yes sorry, the toggle in the settings is gone but the shelf left on the home screen is still there !

No worries! Actually the opposite of what I was hoping for haha. Would like to have the ability to remove it like in the screenshot I linked! Thanks for confirming for me
Seems they are removing that option in all the stable releases for whatever reason...

The toggle in my screenshot adds or removes the extra page on the home screen when you swipe left. The one with the search, notes, calander etc :good:
Yesterday I had a notification telling me about November security patch and I was frustrated and not sure what it is because November security patch reached Me before and I did it and it compromised my battery life and performance so I made it for the 2nd time and battery life and performance is now good, but accidentally I opened gestures and was surprised by a new gesture but unfortunately it doesn't work xd
What is this so? xD
It actually works for me and does exactly what it says. Also 2nd Nov update.

So what causes it to not work for me?
Works well for me too
Notice: it only works when the screen is on and unlocked, otherwise it just wakes up the phone (quite normal indeed )
And battery drain seems to be gone after this update

Sorry for this confusion, I was using fluid navigation bar and after I disabled it from Accessibility I can now use swipe fingerprint, thanks
Yup new gesture works fine and also seems that the battery life is back to level awesome ?

I had the GPS issue once or twice since I had the phone from November. Normally a restart fixes it. Will monitor it when going to work and see if it happens again or not.
Haven't noticed any lag so far, but only installed update this morning...

Oneplus gestures sucks. That's why I just keep using the 2 button pill style navigation but after the 10.0.8 updates those seemed little buggy as well I'm not seeing back button anymore if I unlock to the main screen

Back gesture triggers across whole side of the screen instead of just bottom half, so it's impossible to bring side menu in many apps. If gestures break functionality of other apps I consider them being broken.
You know that swiping on the edges with two fingers pulls out the side menu in apps right? Gestures is totally usable. I think they just have to let people know they can swipe with two fingers to pull out side menus.
How to update ota without loosing root magisk?
Install the update no reboot
Go to magisk manager klick on intsall to inaktive slot after ota reboot
