Is it possible to get rid of WM7 and install Android on HTC surround?
Yes, take it back/sell it and buy an android phone.

As long as there is a good variety of apps available then its no problem.
WTF why doesnt WP7 have flash??
You would really be better off just going with an android phone to start with because buying a surround then hoping for a port is just going to give you months, if not more of frustration. Is that worth saving a bit of money for? Buy android, it has flash, lots of apps, several form factors, no need to by a wp7 device then do without the features you want.

This.
All trolling aside. Android has a large selection of quality devices that you will be able to find off contract for a reasonable price - with some patience spent looking on ebay. If you want Android, buy a phone that was built from the ground up for Android.

I know some are trolling , Android has more free apps , just buying it for the speaker , but isnt there any possibility to install android on it ? like dualboot?
Why not just buy an phone with Android? Ported ROMs usually have tons of problems.
Keep wp7 on it Android is un secure and was built with stolen code

I can't imagine because I don't believe the surround is very popular hardware. Since those mods are usually pretty hardware specific, those types of mods are usually only made for more popular devices.
Alright but will there be any browser available for WP7 that supports flash?

no there's not as we've clearly stated. You would have to have access to the bootloader which only one person has done by accident and it bricked their device. You would then have to pretty much rebuild the entire phone from the ground up code-wise. It is possible given months, maybe years but no one is going to spend 1/10th that time on such a terrible phone. The os is the only redeeming quality about that device. We are not trolling, you came to the wp7 forums and asked about putting Android on your device. We informed you it could not be done and told you our opinions of the idea... Sounds like a thread to me... You're just hunting for a yes where there's none to be had.

at this point in time no. That is not Microsoft fault. That is Adobe.
^ How is that Adobe fault? Please clarify, as I am truly interested.
Adobe s not created a version of flash for wp7 a new version has to be created for each os that it works on. Not that it will really matter after html 5 but Microsoft has nothing to do with building the program.
even before WP7 was released, both MS and Adobe said jointly that they were committed to bringing flash to windows phone. I believe the hold up is in agreeing to an implementation that would satisfy both companies (for MS, it's implementing it without a compromise to speed or security, and for Adobe it's being feature rich and fully functional).
Go buy a Android or a iPhone.
I just read an article about oneplus won't implement project treble to their device and wondering what Razer will do.
Interesting!
So they've gotten smart finally on combatting the fragmentation of versions I bet.
This would be a difficult undertaking, brands/carriers "lose" a certain degree of control. That's probably why most won't do it. That's why MS had such a hard time getting carriers to stock their phones. Carriers didn't want users to have so much control. The prime example of this is anti-root policies.
I sent an e-mail to Razer support about this (I was interested too), unfortunately the reply wasn't very informative:
Welcome to Razer support!
I am afraid to inform you that at this moment I have no information regarding an implementation of Project Treble on Razer Phone!
I invite you to follow us on our Facebook and Twitter and to subscribe to our Newsletter to be always up to date with the latest news from Razer!

We'll have to wait and see I suppose.
I would like to hear recommendations for buying a new mid-range phone (up to 300 euros, but that's not a hard limit). My motivation for running Lineage OS is to have a phone without GApps (no Play store, no GCM, etc.).
I am searching for a phone that is compatible with the recent version of LineageOS. Simple installation would be a plus. But in particular, it would be great if the phone were compatible with future versions of LineageOS. As far as I understand, the latter is hard to predict because vendors are usually not making any commitments.
I must admit that the situation is very confusing to me right now because of the possible decision of skipping Lineage 15 in favor of developing 15.1, but also because I do not know how Spectre/Meltdown mitigation affects current development. I'm hoping that people in this forum have better knowledge and experience to give me some recommendation.
I'm sorry that this is a very general question, but I really do not have very specific needs. I previously had a Fairphone 1. The phone was fine for me, but I was pretty disappointed in the end because OS updates have been announced for a very long time and then they have never been delivered.
Thanks!
Buy a phone with project treble support.

Hallo buddies. I hoped to unlock my bootloader (PIC-LX9). But I received the following answer from the huawei support:
Oct 12, 14:12 CEST
Good day...,
Thank you very much for asking our question to our e-mail support. With the Huawei Nova 2 Plus you have really bought a great smartphone and it will certainly give you a lot of fun.
I understand that you would like to use the Bootloader Unlock Code for your device. Also that you are used to it from the past. However, since the service has now been discontinued, use is no longer possible. The decision to end this service was not easy. But considering against the background that it came to increased paid servicing cases, we acted here in the sense of our customers. I hope I could answer your question satisfactorily.
If you have any further questions, I am glad that you write me again and until then I wish you a nice Friday and a sunny weekend!
With best regards

So far there is no further need to root the device. But the Nova 2 Plus is probably no longer supplied with new Android versions (for example Pie). The Nova 2 Plus is a good mid-range mobile phone. and not exactly cheap. It is hard to understand why it will be 'out of date' after just one year.
And that without the possibility to flash other comstume roms.
Have one a solution? For example a code like the safestrape for Motorola Omap4 devices? (The Moto is my second phone with crDroid in daily use.) from developer stargo (I believe).
This is supposed to be in the ROM/Recovery section, I plan to use this as a central thread for development on this device if it comes to that.
Anyone who owns an A80, must have by now have had a love hate relationship with it.
Even the S21 doesn't look that good and a look alike phone is often spotted in samsung's ads to this day which has the same edges so i guess they use it as a prop instead of editing out the punch hole. (See images, one is from the 1UI3 ad). It could have been a timeless device if the software implementation was paid more attention to.
Currently these are the problems with this device on OneUI2.0
- HDR video playback doesn't work from youtube but does with the camera (was present on S9)
- Severly Nerfed Camera
- Slowdown/Battery drain/High ram usage
- Aggressive PWM on the display (opposed to DC mode on OnePlus)
- No Android 10 Nav bar despite it being on Android 10.
- No wireless charging (more on that later)
- Poorly made kernal I read?
Which doesn't make sense because even the older Gen phones got these resolved and the alternative A series phones as well.
I am currently very frustrated and would love to join the devs/owners of this device and put our contributions in a LineageOS build for this however I have never done more than basic builds for a device.
Having an All screen no notch display made me realise it's all about software.
Here is a very clean S10 Rom and I wish we can get there with this thing too
Lastly about the wireless charging, Im an engineering undergrad familiar with the WPC Standard and if you have seen strange part's video on adding wireless charging to the iPhone 7, this is certainly a glass back phone with a modular charging port assembly that exact thing can be done on this device as well, I have ordered the parts found in the S10 and some after market tags that I'll try and see which work while keeping the battery cool, I'll share my findings if it's successful.
I definitely agree with you but you know, unfortunately Galaxy A80 isn't sold too much such as A70, A71 and other A series without A80 are popular -because they are more cheap than A80-, so I think developers don't want to make, develop or port any ROM for uncommon and under-sold devices like A80 because making and porting any ROM is super harder you know. And developers want to receive a recompense for their hard work. We are so unlucky for buying A80. No one wants to make or port for uncommon device.
By the way, English isn't my primary language, so if I did make mistakes in my paragraph, sorry.
