Dear Mates - kindly ask You to help me with these two issues !
The Problem is - that i bought amazon fire tv 1gen already rooted. I never know about rooting, custom ROMs , firmware upgrade . I just simply delete older XBMC and instal new KODI 15.2. After that I can downloads new repos, instal addons (not all - but still) , but 50% of addons doesn't working. And I CAN'T INSTALL CUSTOM BUILDS in KODI. Just starting download them from repos - and immediatly receive script error !! Amazon Fire TV on software version - 51.1.0.2_user_510058520. Rooted, Clockwork - don’t know, have SuperSU and BusyBox Installed.
Can manage to edit "setting" (through SQL editor) to enable apps from 3th parts , but can’t change time zone KODI logs http: / / xbmclogs.com/pteyj2w3c
Will be very glad for Your help in KODI issue AND also kindly ask -Who can help upgrade my Amazon Fire TV 1gen to newest custom ROM ? I can donate . Really need Your help. Thanks in advance.

Help with modifying apk (decrease SDK) to use with fire stick gen 1

Hello,
I want to give a gen 1 Fire Stick to a friend and I am unable to install HBO GO app as it requires a minimum SDK 23.
I tried to decompile it and modify, but I get errors when recompiling.
Can someone help me and modify minimum SDK to 21?
If yes, I uploaded the app to google drive and can provide you the link in a private message.
I mention that I have a personal account for HBO GO but the European version is different from the US one, it can only be installed on Android 6+ compared to US that also works on 5.

Are you saying there's no HBO Go app for the Fire TV 1? I find that hard to believe.

I buy new Smart TV and I was happy befor I find out that the Installed OS have no google play service and nether GApps.
This TV manufactured by some 3th party company but they sell it as TCL 55C715 (hardware is different from original one)
could anyone help me find a compatible firmware that have google play service or help how enable google play on this OS.

I'm guessing you've bought this tv from Iran, right?
I got Daewoo DSL-55K5700U, and I'm in the same situation. managed to install google apps. Go to apkmirror (Android TV) and download what you need, just a little heads up, I assume your TV's CPU Architecture is armeabi-v7a, so download the correct versions of apps for your TV…

[APK Request] Discovery + (US) and Hulu (US) for Firestick

Hi,
I am desperatly looking for the new Discovery + APK for the Fire Stick 4k. I used to use the old version, 1.2 or so, but the app demands an update to function. The experiment with the android TV version was not successful, as the google play services are required. Can anyone with an US Amazon App store help me out here?
At the same time, i am looking for the HULU APK, anyone got the newest one from the Amazon app store?

Managed to get them myself. I dug up an old stick, made a new amazon account in the US and installed the apps i was looking for.
With my computer, i connected over adb and pulled the apks from it. Works fine for me now.
If anyone is looking for them as well, let me know...

There are some initial issues with permissions, but as soon as you managed to log in, they are solved.
