Hi all. I'm about to order my OP7P, and I want to take it running, but I don't want it flopping around in my pocket. Are there any armbands or other holders that are actually compatible with this huge phone? Thanks for any leads!

I use this one with a Speck Presidio Grip case. Fits fine. Good armband but expensive.

So you would need the universal kit, it contain the strap/armband and locking adapter. The locking mechanism has adhesive on it so that you can attach it to any case of your liking. But be warned that once you attached it to a case it there until you literary pry it off.
I have reattached my adapter to a new case when I changed phone so it can be done with a little super glue the second time.

I found the back of my Galaxy Nexus to be a little too slippery, and I had a spare piece of 3M carbon fiber material laying around.
I decided to go ahead and cut it to fit my GN. No worries about that darn Verizon Wireless logo on the back now
I got the material from this guy: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=703496
That looks awesome lol. How thick is the carbon? Just like paper thin?

Yeah, it's very thin.
awesome.

Eh. I'm not allowed to look at that link yet... I hate being a noobie. lol That does look REALLY nice! I am going to have to do this also. Thanks!
I have that 3M too, but I am afraid the plastic battery cover might get weak since it needs to be heated to apply.. is it safe to blow dry the plastic battey cover based on your experience?

it doesnt need to be heated to apply, I had this carbon fiber on my T-mo GS2 and didnt require to doanything but just apply with solution and let it dry, but this doesnt protect your phone if it drops, so basically pointless, I rather get otterbox, but not sure if it works on gsm version, still puzzled here.
Pretty cool idea, I may look into this.
i am assuming you used 3M DI-NOC? does it stick well to the bumpy surface of the battery door?
Yes, 3M Dinoc and it seems to be holding just fine. I trimmed it just a little bit short but no heat was required just peel the back off and stick

I want to do this, but I'm going to try to cover the entire body of the phone
Just bought two 4" x 8" pieces for my phone off ebay for $1.98 shipped thanks!
keep us posted on how it holds up...i am probably going to do the same thing to mine!
Looks great. Might try this.
Holy crap that looks awesome

This does indeed look great. I just want and got some CF Vinyl online to do this myself! (Though I think I'll add an Autobots insignia to it as an homage to when this was the Prime XD)
That loos nice! Doubt i could get it looking that good, even if i had the materials.
I've never had any experience cutting or measuring out 3M DI-NOC. does it cut fairly easily? Any tips or anything to watch for when I make my attempt?
It cuts easily. Trace a pattern from your battery door onto the backing of the 3M then cut about 1mm inside of that all around. Use a sharp Xacto knife.

Hmm have you seen the constant thermal readings on the phone? My phone can get 102 degrees Fahrenheit but I can't even tell because I have something as thick, the otterbox commuter.so I'm not to sure.

An aluminum case would transfer heat best. I use a thin TPU case, which I know would insulate a bit. But it doesn't seem to get too hot.
Best is probably to use no case and let the aluminum body disperse the heat.

I have a note 3 belt case its a bit width loose(opo is thinner) but if you had it in a gel case for e.g it will fit snugly.

It's probably close enough. OP is a smidge taller and a smidge narrower. I'm looking at the cases now on ebay, may just order one for $7.95 to how it fits.
edit: Ok, see that someone with the case recommended a gel case to have it fit snugly. cool!

perfect, then you should buy it :fingers-crossed: , and review it here after :highfive: and we will know if it matches our needs
ill do and i report here
I just purchased this one yesterday. I plan on getting a stronger carabiner for it but will probably use it on the belt loop mostly. I think this is nice because of the size of the phone but also so I can take some of the stuff I keep in my pockets in it. We will see how it works out.

It just came in. It does fit on the phone a little loosely and it sticks out the top about two millimeters. It won't fall of the phone, the phone's grippy back makes sure of that. It's very thin and flexible but that's what you get when you pay only $5. but it'll do what I want which is to keep the screen and back from getting scratched when it's in my pocket or I set it down on a surface.

Take a look at this, it's not exactly what you want, but it's generic enough that it would work

Thanks for the find, although you'd need a smooth case for the suction cups to attach properly.
May work on white editions, but certainly not sandstone black.
still no power bank case, no dust cover case, no spigen cases...
Hi, I am planning to buy the phone in the next couple of months. I was interested if there is already available bumper for this phone, that only covers the metal side frame and the corners of the phone and not its back. I mean something like this for OnePlus One : http://images.octoder.com/product/or_040405-45010_c3b.jpg . As you can see, it is only a frame around the phone.
I've searching also for a bumper to Op2. I'll prefer a tpu instead a aluminium bumper...

How about a side skin? Like the metal, but hate how slippery it is. Dbrand has nothing, and haven't been able to find anything like that on Amazon or ebay. Anyone had any luck?

I bought the orzyl fusion case and took out the hard clear plastic back (it literally pops out). Now I have a wonderful black rubber bumper case and can see/ feel the back of my sandstone back! amazon.co.uk/Orzly%C2%AE-FUSION-Bumper-Oneplus-OnePlus/dp/B012Y59YYQ/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1444055316&sr=1-1-spons&keywords=oneplus+two+bumper&psc=1
I'm patiently waiting for one similar to the OP, I have the flip case and now want something slim to protect the sides

Thanks for the suggestion, just did this as well.
It doesn't fit quite as snug as I'd like, but it'll do until a reasonably priced bumper comes along.

Slightly rounded edges feel great in hand.
You'll need to stuff something between the bumper and the phone to make it tight.
Im going for the rhino shield Bumper. It looks great and after I saw a review of it I'm sure it's the right choice.

Hey mate, I have the fusion case as well but I can't remove the clear plastic back. How did you get it out?

sorry, wrong thread
There are the usual ones on aliexpress and eBay. They go around 7-8 USD and are rounded rather than flat. I've had a lot of experience with these cheap bumpers and what you want are the screwless ones (as they fall out with use) and something more aesthetically pleasing (such as rounding, or unique features) or else you'll end up taking it off eventually and throwing it out.
That or spend money on the more expensive ones. It's probably worth it if you think about it.

You kind of have to push hard.
With the case backside up, try starting near a corner and kind of in a peel back motion holding the bumper part while pushing the clear part down with your thumbs. Once you get the first section loose, the rest kind of peels off.

I see... I tried but it is very hard and the plastica was almost broken instead of coming out.
Anyway I noticed that some shops are selling the case saying that is "version 2" that is the one I have.
Maybe you have the previous version?
