Can anyone else confirm whether the Google Assistant is working correctly on their device?
I can't seem to trigger 'OK/Hey Google' when the screen is off - this functionality worked flawlessly on my Galaxy S8 but only seems to work on the A70 when the screen is on.
What's also interesting is that when I try to access 'Voice Match' the sub-menu doesn't open when clicked (but isn't greyed out).
I've tried reinstalling both the Google and Assistant apps but with no success.
I really miss being able to give commands when driving!
Presumably Bixby (ugh!) still works with the screen off, so I doubt it's a limitation of the SD675 chipset?
Same here. Doesn't work when the screen is off, but works when it's on even if the device is still locked.

Thanks for confirming.
I'll flag this to Google and Samsung teams, but I feel it may be intentional...
Make sure that lock screen personal results is ON in the Google app >> settings >> Google assistant >>assistant >> your phone (in the assistant devices list at the bottom of the page). This is off by default.

Thanks for the guidance. Is your screenshot from an A70?
I don't even have that menu option available? Here's what I have, you can see how it's missing from the list.
Hmm yeah that's from my A70. I am on the beta version of the app so it might be that. Try v10.20.2.21.arm64

Thanks, I tried this but still can't get OK Google to trigger the Assistant when the screen is off. Is this not driving anyone else insane?
Have you found any solution buddy

If you use Google Keyboard you might find that the the sync is greyed out under Languages & Keyboard - Google Keyboard - Accounts & Privacy. To fix this you need to go one page back and click on Text Correction and scroll down and make sure Suggest Contact Names is on. Go back to Accounts and Privacy and sync should be turned on.
Also synchronization is greyed out for Google Apps users no matter what you do.
Whereabouts is this in settings?

Suggest Contact names is on but it's still greyed out. I have two business accounts but even when I deleted them and leave my personal account and reboot phone I get same situation[emoji37]

Same here. I tried adding Google Keyboard via Management Console but it still doesn't work. Did you find a solution?
This worked for me thanks
For Samsung devices with latest Secure Folder, Google Keyboard dictionary sync gives a false error about having a "Work account". The only solution is to uninstall Secure Folder = unacceptable.
Please leave Google feedback about this on the play store reviews and via Feedback from within the keyboard settings menu.

Was this solved in meanwhile?
I still have the same issue on Samsung Galaxy A5.
Cannot sync learned words accros devices
I disabled secure folder but still the same issue.
Uninstalling it (from the app settings menu) does not remove everything related to secure folder. It just uninstalls the secure folder setup you did.

On my Eonon GA-2114 (800x480), the settings pane is completely blank. Is this a known issue of just my bad luck?

Unfortunately this is a known behavior and won´t fixed by the Here Support. I wrote with them several times. App is optimized to not use in Landscape Mode. Thats the matter. Start a Route, you can set some settings there.
Thanks! Is there a better offline mapping solution for the US? I tried Sygic, but depending on the direction of the wind, I was only able to access countries other than mine.
I tried following:
Navigon - Not Working with build in GPS Chip
Waze - Too Tiny, Only Online
Here - Missing Settings
Sygic - Ugly maps, malfunctions in settings, lose of maps after serveral times.
and others.
TomTom - Crashes with 3G Dongle connected.
I use TomTom with Wifi Stick now (so no crashes) and its working very well. Its for 19Euro per Year... seems to be ok.
You can try the latest google maps. Its able to store offline cards now tow. But i dont like the voice and the style...
Becareful upgrading to new version ..won't start on mine.. But all other devices working ok.. I went back to this version and working fine..

Also on a 1024x600 Pixel Android car hifi the settingspage is still blank. This must be only Software blocking our car Radios.
Has anyone found an App or Hack how to turn around the Screen to Switch the map Location to my external sd-card

I believe Google disabled that feature some time ago. Anyway, for screen off hotword detection ur phone had to be plugged in to a charger, because it is (3rd party apps might provide such a feature) or was a battery hungry feature.

Yo do not want that. As Chillman explained it would eat the battery.
The processor would never go to sleep mode as it will be forced to constantly analyze incoming sounds.
Phones that have this feature have a special low power hardware module that can recognise the hotword. Running voice recognition is very battery intensive when done using software, even this phone will run out of battery pretty quickly if it was recording and analysing ambient noise 24/7.

I think this is a problem with the latest chrome update, I downgraded to an earlier version and it worked just fine. When i upgraded again it stopped working. Hopefully they'll get it sorted soon.

Hi guys !
I have been facing the known problem for a few days now.
This is that when I press the center button it keeps asking me to select Launcher .
I searched for this problem and read reports that the app is causing it Digital wellbeing.
In my case, however, the suggested solutions (uninstall updates, freeze app, clear data) do not solve the problem.
Here I should note that the application is pre-installed from the Samsung store, uninstalling it is not possible.
Do you have any idea that can solve this problem?
That's a trash app, worthless. Either use Package Disabler or an adb edit to stop it if you can't disable this app in settings.
Edit:
Just tested it on my N10+/Pie variant. It can't be disabled in settings. How thoughtless of them.
Use one of my first two options to take out the trash plus it removes it from the settings menu.
Another Google save the dumb bunnies, feel good parasite service. Gookill sucks.
Do you have any apκ (Package Disabler) to recommend me?

Sent you the link. Not on Playstore.
Ιn the end the problem was created by the application fitpro .
I found it completely by accident while looking for the solution to the reports I was finding about Digital wellbeing.
As soon as I uninstalled it, the problem was solved and everything now works perfectly as before.
