I have some questions about this radio - MTCB Android Head Units Q&A

Hi all !
I bought this radio 8227L: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32814496822.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.25984c4dJjb9i2
And now please someone knows how to move my GPS folder (igo) on the SD and use it ? Because due to Android 6.0, now we can't install app on the sd, except if you share your sd card with the internal memory.
If i do it, i can't move my folder gps too because the sd can't appear in the file explorer or on windows PC because the card is encrypted.
Then i search after a solution, i don't want to place my big folder (more 10gb) of the internal memory, i prefer install on SD.
Another question, how to root it ?? I try a lot of "rooters" but not work.
Please help me for the GPS :'(

Hi new user.
Suggest spending a couple of moments reading the wiki.
Your unit is not an MTCD unit.

What is it ?? And where is the wiki ? I don't see it

SD card question

Hi there, I am not sure this is the right section to ask this,so please excuse me..
I have a folder in my XDA orbit sd card which is called "DE_AT_and_CH_plus_major_roads_of_WE" and contains some files that take up more than 300MB of my card. Can I delete them? Also Is the information in the SD card in the phone essential for the device?
Thanks
thas the maps for tomtom ect
The information on the SD is not critical for the phone to operate, however there may be applications installed on the SD card, so ensure before you remove it that there aren't any app on it you require.
if you need more space, buy a card with more memory and then copy all files to this new card. deleting the "DE_AT_and_CH_plus_major_roads_of_WE" folder will remove all of your tomtom maps.
The tomtom navigator doesn't have maps for my city, so I don't really need it... Is there another GPS software I can use?
I like to use Smart2Go, it has tons of maps and is freeware if you don't use it for navigation. Use the maploader to load maps to your SD card. I used WM5 Storage so I didn't need to take out my card. The maploader copied the maps to the main folder, you manually need to move the folder to the Smart2Go folder.
It's freeware, you can use it for viewing your current location, for navigation you need to buy a license. I use it mainly as a map when I'm abroad, I didn't want to buy a software with maps for the entire world, that's very expensive and I don't drive a car everywhere.

[HELP] How to use use internal NAND instead of phone storage and/or SDCAR

Hello all,
I just recently bought a Trekstor SurfTab Xirion 10.1 (now rooted) and now I'm trying to find a solution for the post's title.
My tablet has a great 12gb of Internal NAND FLASH (as it's called by Setting - Storage menu) and it's completely empty.
Now I want to use this NAND as main place where to install apps, and not the SD CARD nor, obivously, the INTERNAL STORAGE.
I've looked around for a bit and it seems that only "how to move to sd card" infos are present.
As far as I know (and it is surely little) using sd card as place for apps can be battery-eating and also can slow down the system and, more and mainly, I want the SD CARD to be more flexbile and use it to put ebooks, movies, docs etc. in there.
Is it possible?
Alternatively : As phone I have an MTK6589 device and I've used a wonderful tool to change the partitions size, reducing the NAND to as little as possible while expanding the internal to as much as possible... are no tools like this available for other types of android device?
thanks
I can't even move app to SD! Both app2sd and Gemini app manager won't let me do this.
Is this because nand is a virtual folder?

[Q] tab 3 (T210) - playstore to ExtSHoping someone can help

hoping someone can help. I have a tab 3 T210 running 4.4.2. Its rooted. I wanted to know if theres a way to set apps/games downloaded from playstore direct to ext sd card. Internal memory is small and fills up. I have a 32gb ext sd card and want to use it. already used folder mount to improve it. But hope a way to download direct to ext sd to save more space
1. Wrong category.
2. Nope there isnt a way. The best way is FolderMount really.
Folder mount is great for storing the files on yr extSdcard and able to save space, ive used it for years..
Try Apps2Sd or
Links2sd
I think these are what your looking for

Zenfone 2 Storage problem - what to do ? :(

Hello,
Im experiencing really weird problem that never happened to me and now Im trying to find a solution but I cant find anything and I dont really want to format my phone because it would solve this problem only for some time.
The problem Im experiencing is regarding to my storage / sd card.. when I install any app it will make folder on my phone storage and not on SD Card even tho I selected to install apps on my SD Card. Another problem is that when I try to move that file that is placed in my phone storage to my SD Card then it wont clear any space from phone storage but the file is gone - and then when I run the app it says that I need to download additional datas and when I press download data it just say that my storage is full and I got 45gb free SD card and almost full phone memory even when I moved 1,5GB file to sd card .. I really dont know what to do..
Im also adding screenshot of my used space where you can clearly see that my apps on phone memory got 4GB and other files got around few hundred mbs but my free space is ONLY 500 MB and graph showing I should have around 6GB of free space..
Thanks for any help
EDIT: Im not rooted and running latest stock ROM
What app are you trying to delete the files in? Doesn't it have trash or something?
It doesnt matter what application Im trying to move (Im not uninstalling them or deleting) its happening to every app.
Anyone please?
i got this concern too. i want to install large games with obb files, but even if i transfer manually the obb files to ext sd/android/obb folder the game always says "download additional files" . in short the game can't find or locate the obb file due to some limitation on ext card permissions to read and write. im not sure on other devices. but i do believe thats how default android system is. :crying:
Correct me if im wrong but i guess the only solution here is to root our zf2 and install folder mount . forgive me for my first post. newbie here
Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML

Asus 2.20.40.160

well.. first of all u must know this fact that there are only few apps are present which can install on sd cards.. 90% of apps are developed to install on internal storage, if u will move them to sd card, they will not run.. and copying appdata files directly frm file explorer never solves this problem.. it will eat ur double space only.. there is specific way of doing this.. but only for those which supports installlation on sd card.
now ur problem of space, just clean ur junkfiles.. use xplore file explorer, enable 'show hidden files' and check one by one that which folder and file is eating ur storage.
if it doesnt work.. only last option is hard reset from stock recovery.
What is the main difference between internal storage and sd card? I dont get it why it shouldnt also work from the sd card.. and I was told by others that if I root my phone and download specific app / change settings I will be able to install to my sd card too. I was also normally installing my stuff on sd card when I had previous phone with 4.2 Android. With all these things I really shouldnt buy 128gb card that cost me 40€ because there is 95% of free space and I cant move anything (applications) to it.

yeah.. during 4.4 time.. apps were sd card freindly, but nowdays its rare.. bcoz every app developer is in race of superiority.. internal sd gives better r/w speed, and its not removable so that app can run 24/7 on your device.. dats y they make apps to install on sd.
dont get dissappointed.. your problem is solved in andoid 6.0 marshmellow, it gives u option of using external sd card as phone's internal storage. as soon as u insert the sd card.. it will ask you that how to use it.. as a portable storage or as a internal storage..
So plz go get buy 128 gb ssd.

your phone may be full of junks.. plz make backup of your important data.. hard reset it.. hard reset is required evry 3-4 months. just do it.. it wil solve ur problem.. other wise if u are rooted then get the root explorer and delete the un necessary files from root.
Oh thats great that Android 6 will make my sd card work again. But now there is that issue that Asus is working so slowly on Android 6 :<
is there a "trash" folder? every time i delete things, they disappear, but the space doesnt free up. i also have the same problem as the original poster: my apps and all files only take up about 6.5 Gb, but my free space is only 800Mb out of 11.5Gb...i downloaded "diskusage" and it shows 4.9Gb of "system files" but i cant find them using my file manager or storage screen (this is in addition to the 4.6 Gb of "system reserved" space)
I tried to show hidden files and found a ".trash" folder, but there isnt anything in it
use ES file explorer , it has a feature to find all junk. Also ZF2 is not deleting files from gallery , it stores them in .trash. Check that too.

MicroSD 'Write to' question

Hi all.
I have the 10, great phone so far.
I have rooted and ROM'd it with LeeDroid thus far and all is running well.
Question.
From root explorer, if I try and delete, copy or move something in the phone's storage, it will not allow me. On the MicroSD, no problems.
If I move a file to the phone storage, it's all ok, vice-versa, it says something about giving it permission through Android??? Anyone know how to get this done?
Funny it allows (with root aceess and permission given through SuperSU) to move files to the phone's storage, but not from the phone storage to the SD card??
I looked at the settings, storage etc, and cannot find a function which overrides or allows this to happen..........
Any help appreciated.
Cheers.
