Hi !
I am trying to use the google+ auto-awesome feature with my Tab S 10.5 Wifi but it doesn't work...
It seems that only a list of devices are supported :
(
HTC One (HTC and GPe versions)
HTC One (M8)
HTC One (Sprint and, possibly, CellSouth)
HTC One (Verizon)
HTC One Max
HTC One Mini
LG G Pad 8.3 (non-GPe) (KK and above)
LG Palman [KK and above]
Moto Droid M
Moto Droid Ultra
Moto Droid Ultra Maxx
Moto G (DVX)
Moto X
Nexus 10
Nexus 4
Nexus 5
Nexus 7v1
Nexus 7v2
Samsung Galaxy Note 3
Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2
Samsung Galaxy S4 (GPe) [KK and above]
Samsung Galaxy S5
Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4
Sony Xperia SP
Sony Xperia Z Ultra
Sony Xperia Z Ultra (GPe) [KK and above]
Sony Xperia Z1
Sony Xperia Z1 Compact
)
Do you know if there is any way to make it work on the Tab S ?
Thank you !
Quentin
Can I edit the device ID within my build.prop ?
Do you know if there is any rom supporting this feature ?
Thanks,
Quentin
Hi,
A little up
Nobody tried to make it work ?
That's a bummer. I traded in my Nexus 7 for the Tab S 10.5. I really do like the Auto-Awesome feature, which my phone still supports.
It was just announced the Note 8 is getting Pie by EOY. That is from Samsung - so if Verizon gets it at EOY from Sammy, then how long will it be for Verizon to be able to release the update? Anyone have any ideas or thoughts?

Impossible. Which version? I have 8.0.0 which is Oreo and my last update was Dec 13 which was the Dec 1 security patch. I just re-checked and there's no update available. Samsung gas not even given the update (which is 9.0) to Verizon yet - do you have a hacked room on a rooted phone?

If you're on bootloader version N950USQS5CRK1 then you can download the firmware update for Android Pie to this bootloader version N950USQU5DRL5 and you can get it from this website https://firmware.science download the 1.6GB update then put it on the main part of your SD card and then boot Into recovery mode and select update from SD card and voila Android Pie!! You sure it's still impossible?! Haha..

You're welcome.. It was worth the upgrade to me because it seems smoother and the eye candy of Pie is just awesome! I definitely like this one for once lol.

Yeah use the N950USQU5DRL6 it's DRL6 which contains some fixes from DRL5.. Just use DRL6 instead of DRL5. It was just put up.
Was the process easy and any bugs

I'm likewise on a unrooted Verizon Note 8. The link you provided worked like a charm. I simply downloaded the latest version. I renamed it to update.zip, set it on my SDCard, booted into recovery and voila ?
Smooth as butter...

I'm on the latest DRL6 and have been for the past nearly 2 hours. So far so good. No lags, bugs, etc to mention.
Give it a try. It brings new life to your phone. I'm glad I updated mine.

I have several Note 8's. All of them are on Verizon. However I'm running the "Unlocked" firmware on all of them.
Baseband: N950U1UEU3BRA5
Build #: NMF26X.N950U1UEU3BRA5
Android Version: 7.1.1
Model #: SM-N950U1
Ok, so I was running the unlocked version of 8.0 but there was some features in 7.1.1 That I just liked so I flashed back to that.
> My question is you are currently running "Pie" so are you able to turn on the "HotSpot" without getting the subscription message from Verizon? On the unlocked version you are able to turn on the HotSpot feature without any issues.
> Also, what would be the easiest way to get on "Pie" from the version I'm currently on?
Can you turn on the HotSot and use it without the subscription message? In other words, can you just turn it on and use it like on the unlocked roms? Because on the stock VZW firmware, they lock it down so they can charge you extra for using it. Can someone test this for me who has installed PIE?

Mine came up and went away quickly and it actually is sitting in the notification box at the top if you pull it down you'll see it, it says setup hotspot but I've got unlimited data so maybe that's why it goes away quickly. I can't say I'm happy with this build because sometimes my phone doesn't ring right away when I get a message it waits and rings like 10 minutes later and it will not download over 1.3GB because it will drop the download at 1.3GB and say download paused but when you tap resume it just starts at the beginning again and the other thing that bothers me is the music this sounds like sh!t and barely gets loud enough and if I try to use the settings in PowerAmp that I bought on the play store that was working great and super loud is now junk and causes severe crackling noise and it's just nasty!!!!

I'm sure you understand but our phones are heading in the right direction. This is a very early beta build. Overall I'm pleased with the beta. It's been my daily driver for the past few days now. I've noticed faster wireless charging times and my battery doesn't drain as quickly either.

Yeah I've noticed all that too which is why I'm still running it and haven't switched back..However I am going to go to the DRL6 version because that came out right after I did the first update and i have to go back in order to do that.
Hi guys, I do not decide between 3 smartwatch, could you help me decide which one to buy?
Samsung galaxy watch comes with tyzen and rotating bezel
Huawey Watch 2 comes with android wear without rotating bezel
Huawey watch gt new model, I do not know if it's better than the Watch 2
Important points:
I think having a rotating bezel gives a positive point to the clock
So I have read tyzen is not well optimized strong point for android wear
Then i dont decide between samsung or huawey... By the way i love cool watch faces like fallout pip boy or super mario faces,..
Which of the two operating system / clock has the most support on wahtcfaces?
THANKS FOR YOUR TIME GUYS

since when ?
Samsung watch works will all android phones. Yes there are some difficulties with 4G watches, but ither then that is ok.
Huawei GT uses own OS, so no apps can be added. Also no free storage.
Not all functions are working correctly.
Then what should i choose? I wanna play pokemon go too on the watch
Maybe at future i woulda go to s10 when samsung release them
If you're planning on getting a Samsung phone I'd go with a Samsung watch just for the sake of compatibility.

No, for any Samsung watch, to get the most out of it, you should have a Samsung phone - that's the best integration.

No, the Galaxy Watch will work with either iPhone or Samsung Android phones, it just has better integration with Samsung phones (some integration features are not available with the iPhone). You are thinking about the apple watch which works only with the iPhone.

Samsubg tyzen or huawey wear os? I think wear os rules cause of optimization btw galaxy watch is beatufill and his watch faces amazing fck my brain gonna explode
I have both watches and both have a lot of bags. Huawei does not follow the steps precisely, The LTE version often freezes, the bluetooth connection with the handset (Xiaomi) works bad. The Samsung HR monitor is bad, you can not walk and measure. Also, Samsung products are no longer quality. My Gear S3 was 3 times in the Service, Galaxy watch 42mm came with an incorrect motherboard. For the past 10 years I have only had Samsung mobile phones. From Samsung 6 edge all models were on service, some model 4 times.
Garmin and FitBit are better than Huawei and Samsung, FitBit dont have lot of watch faces, both models are not for gaming.
Chinese watches with Android OS could be a better for gaming.
My recommendation would be to get whatever suits the platform you're currently on. Like for me, I already have an s9 and a tab s3. So the galaxy watch seemed the best fit. I just bought mine a few days ago and I have to say I'm really enjoying it thus far. And if you're into watch faces there are a lot on the galaxy app store. My favorite so far is q watch which is a nearly perfect replica of James Bond's watch from Goldeneye on N64. It's so dope lol.
That said, there are some things which I feel could make it better. For starters, there is not nearly enough support for smartthings. Neither my tv nor my soundbar can be controlled through the smartthings app on my watch despite being registered with the app on my phone. Small gripe but still...Also, texting is super frustrating. And the fact that it only has 4gb built in memory is a bit of a let down. Battery life is pretty decent. I got the 42mm and I get about 1 - 2 days on a charge. 46mm has even better than that. Physical design is pretty well. The silicone straps are surprisingly comfortable, the watch is self just feels like a quality build. Not cheap feeling at all. OS is laid out fairly well. Only took me a couple hours to really learn the ins and outs. Works pretty seamlessly with the S9. But limited compatibility with anything else thus far (samsung devices such as tablet, tv, and soundbar). Overall I'd still give it a solid 8/10. I very much reccomend especially if you're planning to get a samsung phone at any point in the near future.
is Samsung HR monitor really as as bad as all says ?
Can Galaxy watch be used as fitness tracker or it would make more sense just go for stratos 2 ?
Then for should i go? My thing is connect me. To play store and on tyzen u cant (if im correct..) maybe on gslaxy watch theres a way to install play store? I dont love tyzen.. But on quality galaxy watch seems OP with watch faces TT

They were not built to be completely compatible, so you will only get partial functionality and there is no way around it:
iPhone 100% compatible with Apple Watch
iPhone partly compatible with Galaxy Watch
Android 100% compatible with Galaxy Watch
Android not at all compatible with Apple Watch
So, the Apple watch ONLY works with iPhone, but the Galaxy watch works completely with Android and partly with iPhone.
Makes sense?

Weird I just had to look a little bit and found it - why am I complaining! Like you said I cannot find it in the play store, but it is installed on my phone and when I go into the app properties and click on the link at the bottom for the source where I got the app - says the play store - clicking there brings me to this! But for love or money if I search the play store for it - it's nowhere to be seen! And it does sync/work for me -

A 3rd party developer has created GTaskD (sorry I can't post the url as I'm a guest) which effectively reproduces the canvas.
I've hit one or two small bugs but mostly it excellent and I use it every day.
I was hoping that the "My Tasks In Gear" developer might be able to resurrect the app using this new canvas.
I emailed but sadly no reply.
Desperate to get google tasks on galaxy watch and I've played with Any.do, toodledo and todoist but they also seem to lack the simplicity and accessibility of google tasks
Todoist is not bad. Works on Samsung, Wear, pebble, android, IOS, Alexa......
