According to another member, no the camera stuff has not been implemented yet.
I installed it a little while ago. No new camera stuff, but on June patch now.
The new update for the exynos is a major one for the camera and also the kernel ... no more jitters and frame drops way faster and smoother now
hm did they release asf3 and asf7 simultaneously?
does asf7 also adress battery drain?
unable to find it on the internet, are you sure its asf7 not 3?
Edit: ah, asf7 seems to be for s10 not s10+.

Did you look at the pic in the OP? Yes it's S10+. Its on Samsung.firmware.science as an upgrade.
ah thank you. but its SM-G975U, i am on SM-G975F.
Lets see if there will be an update for this, too.
As far as I can tell ASF7 does not address the battery drain at all. It's just a security update and a new bootloader.
Note ASF7 is for the U.S. SD variant.
ASF7 kernel version is .78
ASF3 kernel version is .85

It is still possible the hardware is too different to simply port the recovery. I didn't bring anything until I post an image. Besides, the device still doesn't have kernel source. We can talk about saving it when it is too difficult instead of too new.

Closing the thread until the first build.
I opened this back up since the kernel is also included in the source now. The builds for boot and recovery compile but currently result in a crash. This appears to be security related and, being the first Samsung Galaxy phone (camera had no security) I've worked with, probably something I'm not configuring.
Either way, the source should give developers enough to work with. All of the commandline parameters and such have been verified.

It should be ready to go but fails some check. I know it isn't the recovery failing because the boot.img fails and all I changed in that was adding the line for init.d
I stopped changing anything until I can get the boot working to get valid readings on what needs work.
I miss fastboot. Straight up pass/fail
Hiya folks. I've had Xperia phones since 2010 and I'm thinking of replacing my broken Z3c with an XA1. However I really don't want to be tied into a 2 year contract for a handset that's unsupported.
So I was just wondering..I know it's early days..but is anybody else thinking of getting one of these?
If you're browsing this forum and considering a purchase, reply and let me know! :good:

I'm really curious with this phone. Instead of mediatek processor, do you ever experience any lag/error during multitasking? And I wonder how long this 2.300 ma power battery can stand for a day. Maybe you can share your screen on time with list of applications installed.

Hello, could you confirm one exciting feature of android 7 (atleast for me) that it works on this phone software.
As of Android 7.0 phone can read 2G/3G/LTE frequency without ROOT. Easiest way is to install app Cellmapper(mapping cell towers to map) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=cellmapper.net.cellmapper
Could anyone run this app(enable "Use new Android 4.2 Cell ID API" in settings) and post screenshot while connected to LTE only or 3G when 4G not available(no wifi)? Also, maybe send debug report from settings menu to developer([email protected]) with screenshot.
Thank you

Hopefully I can get it rooted soon then I can mod the hell out of it.

I've had it less than a day so I can't really comment. But I haven't noticed any significant battery issues so far. I've come from the Z3 Compact and this seems to do everything I need it to do at the moment. The sound is good, picture quality is decent (yes, it's not full HD or whatever but it's a phone..if I really need amazing picture quality on my videos I'll use my TV) and the battery seems okay.
Like everything, it depends what you're using it for. If you spend your whole day playing Pokémon Go at full brightness while listening to music, your battery is going to be annihilated..

Has anyone captured the link for One Ui 5 on s901u?
If you have enrolled in One Ui 5 beta for s901u and haven't downloaded the update yet, you can try to capture the link easily by using the following instructions.
How to capture the update.zip file to share with other people:
1. Download HTTP canary app
2. Open HTTP Canary app
3. Start the update by pressing "download" and don't pause it
4. Go back to canary app and start it and it will grab the link for you

Given that you said T-Mobile, I'm assuming yours is a Snapdragon model. I should still ask, how's the performance on A13? The lag on the Exynos model is kililng me, and its an probably OS version agnostic problem, but I thought I should ask.

It has been great. I'm not seeing any lag. The only issue I have is sometimes my 5G is slow at work but that is because there is no signal in parts of the building.
It does seem to be a bit snappier than my Pixel 6 Pro. I have had my Pixel 6 Pro on bit A12 and the A13 beta. Too bad the S22 Ultra costs so much or I would have got that one. This 6.1" screen is gonna take getting used to, especially coming from a OnePlus 10 Pro on the line that I have the S22 on.

Wish that would've been my experience. Latest stable update (august A12) and this phone is still slower than a god damned S4 mini.
On the screen side, I had wanted to get something smaller after the OnePlus 6t so I'm fine with the 6.1". Cameras are good, display is good, battery life is ok, audio is good, but the SoC (or its firmware/drivers/whatever) is horrendous. Worst phone I've owned in a decade.

I'd just tried to see if I could downgrade and it wants me to wipe all of my data again, though I have a backup it'd take a long time to restore. So I'll try to get it as soon as I can, if not a future OneUI 5 update.
Have you tried using the
Code:
adb sideload
function? I'm not sure if that'd work but you have to rename the .bin to "update.zip" and sideload it, and then it's installed if it all goes right.

S901U1 is not S901U. U1 is unlocked, U is carrier. Be careful. You might need a modded Odin or be very selective about the slots you flash.
