What screen protector doesn't suck? - LG G8 Accessories

These new tempered glass protectors with the black surround adhesive are terrible. Poor touch sensitivity and a weird hollow feel/sound because they don't actually sit flat on the screen. Are there any non-adhesive tempered glass protectors that are worth looking into? Amazon reviews are spotty. for every brand and every type of protector for the G8.

Sticky surround and leaves an air gap between the screen and protector. Also, 50% of the reviews are poor.

Tried that and it still doesn't feel right.
I'm thinking of trying a film protector like Ringke. I've also got all these on the way:

Post how they turn out maybe I'll try them in the future

Tried this 32nd Extra Armoured Tempered Glass Screen Protector which is equivalent to the GPEL and seems to be alright but the adhesive isn't great I managed to move the screen protector out of position by a little force. Probably may to consider ones with full adhesive...

Used these on my wifes pixel 2 and they are great. You get a free one if it breaks.
My new g8 has one. it comes with a jig to be sure it lines up perfect. curves on the edges and extremely good fit. No issue with the case.

Gonna try after I run through my 2 gpels lol just put one on should be good unless I drop it awkwardly then it's on to the 2nd one

Using the LK film protector I linked earlier. Goes on like the ringke film, using multiple steps and doing 1/2 at a time. Feel is good. A little stickier than a tempered glass protector, but it's solid on the screen. No air gap. I think it might be interfering with the crystal sound display a bit. Volume seems a little lower now.

I have several of the Ringke stocked up, they have a great installation process. I personally enjoy the film (dry application) protectors more than glass as they have a much slimmer profile. The downside is that they offer little impact protection and can be imprinted, but they're cheap enough that I just keep a few around and change them as needed.

This was the only full-adhesive glass protector I could find. DON'T buy it! I left pics in my Amazon review showing why: Our screen glass curves before the pixels end. The only way to have a flat piece of glass stick to the whole screen is to cut it smaller than the visible screen edges. This one hangs off the sides by 3mm, rendering the edges useless.
[2 Pack] LG G8 ThinQ Screen... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NZZ6YGY?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I've just ordered the only one I could find that claims to be smaller than the screen area, but the description still makes it a bit tough to know what to expect.
https://www.amazon.com/Compatible-Protector-Coverage-Tempered-Adhesive/dp/B07QJ41M2H
Update: DON'T BUY THESE. This one is even worse, as it's way too tall. Again, the scroll bars don't work because you can't touch them. Total trash.
Unfortunately, unless they make one with genuinely curved glass that follows the screen, there won't be a useful full-adhesive protector for our phone. It looks like every glass protector is flat. They advertise rounded edges, but are still flat glass. If you don't believe me, please look at the pictures I've left in the Amazon reviews. These should never have been made.

Tempered glass is used to protect the screen from scratches and also Protect direct damage of the screen. any branded Tempered Glass is famous with their Hard surface and smooth working. I always prefer Casper Tempered Glass and Whitestone dome Glass.

Add this one to the list of screen protectors that don't work. It won't lay flat on the sides. Long air gaps up/down both sides.
Here's the item description on Amazon. I can't post links yet.

Full Body Skin
You may want to think about giving the Skinomi Full Body Skin a try. I wouldn't say that it feels as smooth as a glass protector, but it does wonders at protecting the back of the phone. It also keeps it from slipping off of surfaces and easier to hold! Very nice for those times when you don't want to wear a case. The back protector doesn't interfere with any cases, and the front protector covers the entire screen of the device. Skinomi's warranty is pretty legit too.
I've used it on my Nexus 4, v30 and now the G8.

I'm using an AILUN screen protector with a SPIGEN TOUGH ARMOUR case and they fit and work perfectly together. Got them both off EBay.

I was wondering if screen protectors might dull the sound, since the screen itself is a speaker.

I just placed the wet install IQ Shield on my new G8. I haven't even turned it on yet as I'm in a contract on a stupid Note 9,but I like them on my last 4 devices.

Zagg HTC One High Def Screen Protector - Amazon
I think Zagg makes the best screen protectors, I have used them on both the HTC Droid Incredible and the HTC One. The Zagg screen protectors are not the cheapest option for screen protectors especially if you go for the ultra clear model but I think the cost is worth it, especially since zagg offers warranty replacements, you only pay for shipping. With the warranty replacements, registering your product on the Zagg website is quick and easy, there are no serial numbers you need to have or anything, you only need to tell them what device you got it for and which model screen protector you got.
Another benefit of the zagg shields is the lifetime of the screen protector, in my experience the screen protectors lasted almost 2 years for my Droid Incredible before I replaced it, the screen protector started to come off around the edges of my phone. While the screen protectors do age, I would much prefer the aged screen protector opposed to any damage to my screen. In my entire life of my Droid Incredible, bought in April 2010 and still used as an e-reader by my girlfriend today, there is not one scratch on the screen thanks to the Zagg shield.
While I have not personally tried the Verizon 3 pack of screen protectors, I have had friends use them and they were disappointed with the quality of them, the biggest issue was having the screen protector stay on.
Zagg screen protectors have done such a great job in my opinion I have not wanted or even thought of trying another brand.
As for tips to putting the Zagg brand on, make sure you wash your hands before you do anything, clean the screen so their is no oil, fingerprints, dust or anything else on the phone, make sure the spray gets on both the screen protector and the screen but do not soak either, just enough spray to cover the phone and protector. I found it best when applying the screen protector to start at the top of the screen in one of the corners and work your way to the opposite top corner then work your way down, make sure to use the applying tool they put in the packaging, be sure to use a good amount of force when use the tool but be careful not to apply too much pressure and crack the screen.
If you do not want to try putting the screen protector on yourself, you can go to the Cell Phone employees at Best Buy and have them put the screen protector on. You do not need to purchase the protector from Best Buy, but they charge you a fee to do it. The major benefit of this is that if they screw up and ruin your protector they will replace it.
I tried the Verizon 3-pack when initially purchasing the one. While they are decent, I knew I wanted something a little more rugged.
I did some research and ended up settling on the Mime USA Feather lite tempered glass screen protector. It's super thin and flexes nicely when unboxed, so it's highly unlikely to actually shatter like other tempered glass protectors. It's extremely scratch resistent. I tested car keys, nails, and knives on the screen protector after applying it to the phone and absolutely no marks showed up. It fits perfectly to the parameters of the screen and is hardly noticable after application. I would highly recommend this product. I ordered it from the Mime USA website for about $28, they even threw in a code for free shipping!

I usually don't use screen protectors and whenever I put on a case, I take it off an hour later. I've had the phone for like 9 months now and the screen is fine. There are tiny little scratches but you can't notice them unless you try really hard to, they don't affect the clarity of the screen in any way. I just don't like using screen protectors because they attract finger prints and smudges so easily even when I try a more expensinve screen protector. Honestly the screen will be fine for a long time. Yes there will be extremely tiny scratches but you won't care because they're almost non-existant. But one thing to keep in mind though, is that sand is crazy harsh on the screens, so I'm extra careful when I go to the beach with my phone. That's when I suggest putting on a case and a screen protector. Because even if a tiny bit of sand getes in your pocket, it might cause a little damage. Right now my phone is brand new since I got it replaced because of a camera issue, and I just can't get myself to stick with putting on a case or screen protector, I had a screen protector on it but I took it off 2 weeks later because I miss the naked screen.

Reviews go with what you said. I think when I buy my next screen protector when my zagg wears down, I'm going to try one of these.
i'm using an invisible shield screen protector. Went on pretty easy, there were no bubbles, and it's pretty thick. I've only had it on for a week, so I can't say much about durability, but it's pretty good as far as a screen protector goes. I'm still very partial to those matte finish screen protectors, so i'll probably be picking up one of those in the future.

Got a MIME Feather myself about a month ago or so now, and I must say that it's the best choice I've ever made as far as screen protection. I'd had a Spigen and some other tempered glass brand, but they were both just too thick and noticeable on the screen. The Feather is perfect because it's hard to even tell it's on there, plus it has the Oleophobic coating to prevent smudges and fingerprints. Seriously, don't even waste your money on another screen protector. You can't beat the MIME Feather.

+1 what he said, minus the experience with Spigen. The MIME Feather is the first glass screen protector I've tried, and I don't think I'll ever use anything else. It's superb and well worth the premium price. With that on the screen and a Ballistic Shell Gel case on the rest of the phone, I don't worry about it too much.
I got a EBay $6.99, Chinese made, 0.4mm thick tempered glass screen protector a few weeks ago.
Went on really well, no bubbles and sticking down along all edges and corners. Has the beveled edges on the glass so no sharp edges.
Far better than ANY plastic one i have used on any phone. Touchscreen works well with it on.
Actually hard to notice now its on unless you run your finger from the speaker onto the screen , so the REALLY thin ones must be pretty close to invisible.
I polish up the screen every 2-3 days. Does get prints on it, so maybe the expensive ones have a better oleophobic coating??
For the price, most excellent.

so it's basically putting another layer of glass on top of your screen? Like putting a slide cover on a microscope slide? I wonder if that'll make screen touching a little imprecise (or any more than having a screen protector.

Its definitely putting another layer of glass on the screen. You have to be careful and get it in the right position 1st time as they dont move around once stuck down. Removing them without breaking is, i suspect, very difficult. The "tape hinge" method of application works pretty well.
I have found the touch sensitivity on mine to be great. Certainly there is no difference to the "usability" of the phone, and the smoothness an feel is as good as the original screen.
I did read one review where the buttons on screen wouldn't work with a glass screen protector, but that has certainly NOT been my experience. From what i have read the thickness of these has come down from around 0.6mm in early incarnations to something like 0.15mm and being flexible in some brands.
I got a 0.4mm one. No scratches as yet. Its supposed to be very hard (9H??). I had no issues with fitting my case on after installing the screen protector.. Its a cheap silicone and hardback model that provides good corner protection. Hopefully the screen protector will help if it falls on its face sometime.
What about Just Like Glass?

Just bought my first one a month ago (MIME Ghost), best screen protector I have ever used. It's definitely scratch resistant and feels like the original screen. Not sure how it will hold up to drops, but that's not something I am willing to test.
Had a friend buy some Write Guard screen protectors for his HTC One. I installed one on his HTC One. Screen protector was all ready getting all kinds of scratches in it. No Bueno.
I used the XtremeGuard screen protector for a very long time on my HTC One, but recently I decided I wanted a matte finish screen protector, so I switched to Tech Armor Anti-Glare. Feels much nicer to me and gets a lot less fingerprints and smudges.
I was using the protector that came with the UG case. After reading this thread, I picked up a MIME. Very impressed. It goes on dry, was easy to remove and reposition and left absolutly no bubles (these drive me CRAZY). It has somewhat finger print resistant and I did not heave to deal with wetting the protector, then waiting 24 hours to see if all the bubles went away. Best screen protector I have purchased and believe me, I have tried at least 20 different types over the years.
I have had no issues with the touch sensitivity. You can't even notice it's on unless you look really closely at the top edge.
Using the screen protector that came with my otterbox comuter and it is quite terrible.
The screen protector has been on since April and it is already deteriorating. The spots where I'd swype, type show heavy signs of use. With a faint finger swipe over the screen you can actually feel the difference.
Other than that, the actual performance isn't the worst. Glare and all in the sun is bad, indoors though I don't have any issues.
Will look into MIME.
Cheers,

Which screen protector to get?

I'm looking for a new screen protector for my 3T. Here's my requirements:
Tempered glass
Doesn't let dust get under it over time
Doesn't keep me from seeing pixels along the edges (rules out OnePlus 3/3T Curved Tempered Glass Screen Protector; see https://youtu.be/rVtWOmDrVGU?t=119)
Covers up the entire display area (rules out OnePlus 3/3T Tempered Glass Screen Protector; see my attached photo)
Works with at least one of the big protective cases like Otterbox Case for OnePlus 3/3T, Spigen Neo Hybrid OnePlus 3 Case / OnePlus 3T Case with Flexible Inner Protection and Reinforced Hard Bumper Frame for OnePlus 3 2016 - Gunmetal, or OnePlus 3T / OnePlus 3 Case, TUDIA Slim-Fit HEAVY DUTY [MERGE] EXTREME Protection / Rugged but Slim Dual Layer Case for OnePlus 3T, OnePlus 3 (Matte Black)
Are there any screen protectors that meet all of these criteria?
the unicorn..gl
Doesn't exist.. that I've seen.
Sigh... Why did OnePlus have to curve the screen? :crying:
Yeah, there's no good tempered glass protector. The only option is a plastic protector.

It comes off eventually, you get the rainbow effect and dust eventually gets underneath it as it only sticks to the edges.
I bought a couple of cheap ones off eBay that go around the home button and speaker. Don't even notice it's on most of the time. I get a little oil spill type effect but that's only when the screens off and not noticeable unless I look for it. Think the key is getting it really stuck down. When I first put it on I ended up with tobacco underneath it from my pocket but carefully took it off and reapplied it and so far it's been fine. Had it on about 2 months maybe 6 weeks and it's been great
I'm having the same issue as you. I'm not sure which tempered glass screen protector to use..
After a little search, it seems like the issue with the official curved screen protector from OnePlus has been fixed. I'm gonna bite the bullet and just go for that once, since it's "official". Will report back with images.

Where'd you see that? I'm under the impression that they said they were going to fix it, but all they ended up doing was adding a disclaimer about the problem to the description page.
Hey everyone,
I bought the curved tempered glass and it was so so so bad I removed it 1 minute after using it.
When you put your finger on the fingerprint sensor, I get the feeling that i'm putting my finger into a hole.
The feeling I get when I look at the screen, its the same as if my phone was outside a window...
It was expensive and I'm not using it. Tried to refund it and the support didnt allowed it.
The curved tempered glass does protect the whole phone into a point that it kills the whole feeling you get when
the phone is naked.
Please do not buy it!
I bought recently the normal tempered glass but I still didnt received it.
When it arrives I'll give some news.
I received these today and applied the first one perfectly. I can't tell there is anything on the screen. They do not attract smudges anymore than the phone's glass which is good.
I am more so trying to protect against micro scratches so do not necessarily need the better protection of glass.

Using the orzly v2 glass and its cool. Yes you can see the dot matrix in direct sunlight, yes you get random rainbow in in hot/humid places. But overall its usually clear and perfect. If you use a case it just blends in and although the extra height is daunting on the home button at first, after a month I can say I can't even tell anymore, not obtrusive at all.
Experience with official tempered glass protector
So just to share my experience with the official curved tempered glass protector from oneplus after using it for some weeks.
I'm using it with the Otterbox case and it does work well together overall. It did happen very rarely that an edge was pushed off by the case when the phone was in my pocket. The visibility of the edges of the screen is impaired, but not to the point that I find it disturbing in every day usage.
So my point is, overall this combination works well and provides good protection while adding reasonable bulk. I think it's a very solid choice as of now.

Yup, quite happy with that. But I'm not 100% persuaded that's actually tempered glass. I managed to get it chipped just by holding it in my pocket with some coins (I assume, as I never dropped it). Nothing major, but never happened with any other glass screen protector before. So, guess that's still going to provide some level of protection but wouldn't trust it too much for major protection.
Apart from that, that's ok for the price.

It seems to have the same problem as the official OnePlus full-coverage protector where you lose some edge pixels, according to the 3-star review on the white model.
I'm on my 2nd Orzly V2 now and it's not too bad. I have limited rainbow affect which is only visible under fluorescent lights and the touch sensitivity is generally OK. It's not great by any means but it's adequate, will protect the screen and is the best out of a poor lot.

Tempered Glass Screen Protectors

Bought a tempered glass last night (link below, along with image), and it adhered perfectly, and looks amazing.
Moto G5 Plus Screen Protector, Yootech [2-Pack] Moto G5 Plus Tempered Glass Screen Protector [ANTI-SCRATCH] [BUBBLE-FREE][ULTRA-CLEAR] for Motorola Moto G plus 5th Generation https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XMY75GX/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_o8g4ybG5GRYKJ
The speaker cutout at the top is wider than needed. Doesn't cover proximity sensor and looks asymmetric.
How did you put it by yourself without any air bubbles?
No matter what brand of tempered glass you buy for the G5, on Amazon or anywhere else, they all have the same size top cutout. The proximity sensor is not going to get damaged with how thin the opening is.
As for the bubbles, if you follow the directions included with any of the tempered glass these days, you should never have bubbles, otherwise, you did it wrong. Very easy to install without any bubbles.
Not necessarily. A badly made tempered glass brand will have sub par results, even with a perfect install. I'm coming from a phone with a slightly curved edge, where it was trial and error to find a good one. Thank goodness the Moto G5 plus has a flat screen <3.
I've used some "tempered glass" screen protectors that were good, but the most recent one I got for my Oneplus One seemed like really cheap glass that chips much easier (even just from hitting other stuff in my pocket like keys).
Now I've got a Moto G5 Plus on the way and I want to find out which of these dozen different brands of "9H Hardness" screen protectors are the best quality/durable - and, if the once that claim "oleophobic anti-fingerprint coating" actually work well?
I'm guessing some of the protectors actually have a good coating and some just said "let's write that so they sell better" even if they don't.
Has anyone used the fingerprint sensor one-button nav with a tempered glass screen protector on? Does it interfere in any way or make it more difficult to register proper swipes?

I've had no problem with the finger print scanner or one button navigation. I even found one button nav easier since the home button is more recessed.
It went on perfectly with no bubbles and seems to have a good oleophobic coating.

I picked up the same tempered glass off your recommendation. It looks great and was easy to install. Thanks for sharing. I looked at a few others and think the Yootech was a smart choice.
Picked up the op's protector as well. It's a little annoying that the holes don't perfectly line up, but it went on without a hitch and works well.
Is this good?
I ordered it (Cash on Delivery so I can always cancel)

I picked up a 3 pack by Mr. Shield. The only complaint I have is the glass doesn't quite extend all the way to the edges, I don't mind the oversized speaker and camera cutout's
Nuglass screen protectors are available for Moto G5 Plus. I have found them to have an excellent fit and are resistant to finger prints.

The speaker cutout at the top is wider than needed. Doesn't cover proximity sensor and looks asymmetric.
How did you put it by yourself without any air bubbles?

Use the bathroom method... Turn on hot water in shower for about 3 to 5 min to get it steamy in there. Turn off water and let the steam settle the dust out of the air. Then apply the protector.

I'm not sure if you're aware, but 9H hardness only refers to scratch hardness and doesn't mean it will be chip or crack resistance.
I have gone through 3 different brand "tempered glass" protectors from ebay and not one has fit properly or stayed on. Even those that said 2.5d... I used to have a galaxy alpha and the first 3$ TG protector I bought from ebay worked flawlessly... Is it because it's still a fairly new phone?
I just wish the protectors fit the speaker better. Everyone single one on Amazon seems to fit slightly off
You should definitely go for Orzly Tempered Glass. I've used this brand's glass on my moto G2 and the protection was perfect. It was not too thick, so I was able to use a TPU case and have the glass installed as well.

If you're talking about the cutout for it being a little wider on the left, that is for a sensor. If you hold the phone up to the light, you can see the sensor there.

Okay now I see it. It just seems like wasted space because the sensor blends in really well.

tempered glass screen protectors

Okay. Here it is. We can start the debate soon about which screen protectors actually work on this phone without Halo and bubble issues. It is always an issue with these curved glass screens but there are always 1 or 2 screen protectors that people can get to actually work. Please post which ones you have purchased and how well they worked.
Posting without pictures is not helpful to anyone.
Ordered the ones through Amazon from Mr. Shields and the case/protector from HanhuaTech. The Mr. Shields order gave me 3 and all 3 were nothing but bubbles. Never used their stuff before and highly disappointed. The latter was a nice case, but the screen protector has a black ring around the edges and is impossible to line-up so it doesn't cover the edges of the display area. No bubbles though. Just cut off part of my screen. Still looking. The Otterbox Defender does not include a screen protector.
I tried those Mr shield protectors with my v30 and they were garbage.
The supershieldz worked well with my v30 but the v40 version has that stupid black border which means it only has adhesive at the edges and will have the rainbow effect
Guess we're all screwed for a bit. For what this thing costs, I refuse not to have the tempered glass protector, but they all have the black ring or bubbles. Early adopter blues I guess.
Curved screens, like the V40 (and pretty much every flagship phone) have tend to have poor tempered glass adhesion, in my experience. It seems they all utilize only adhesive along the outer edge, leading them to come unstuck extremely quickly and easily. All of the reviewed models on Amazon, likewise, have this problem. Hopefully a good one will come out for this phone at some point reasonably soon.
I know that T-Mobile tried to sell me an overpriced one when I purchased my phone, though I'm not certain they had any in stock yet. If no models come out that stay stuck pretty well, I will take purchase one of theirs, as they will replace it every time I come in the store.
Be patient and wait for IQ Shield LiQuidSkin, best on the market for curved screens. Available mid Nov.
I quite enjoy the bodyguardz one I got. It's aluminosilicate like gorilla glass and does have the black border, however I've seen 0 rainbowing. Also comes with lifetime replacements which I will probably thoroughly abuse.
I just ordered a set right from their website. It didn't list that it wasn't in stock and ready to ship, so we'll see!
Don't rush! The earlier you get it, the bigger the risk it's not properly tested yet (especially when it comes to curved screens). This early after release, you're the guinea pig...
While I'm waiting for "IQ Shield LiQuidSkin" I ordered "PULEN Screen Protector"... I'll keep you updated!
I ordered the Poetic tempered glass screen protector. Works like a charm. 3 Days and still sticking no problem. No halo, rainbow effect, etc. Absolutely loving it. Fit is amazing and the feel is as good as the original glass, if not slicker. I'm using it with a Ringke Fusion-X case and they work perfectly together. The screen protector is case friendly and the gap between the glass and case is very minimal.

I know PULEN hasn't got very good reviews, but for now, while waiting for LiQuidSkin, it's all good, fits almost perfect. Nothing I recommend though. The black frame covers a faction of the visibility of the screen (left and right side)
But totally OK. Let's see if it falls off before I get my LiQuidSkin?

I was just looking at the poetic glass on Amazon and can't seem to find a good enough review that specifies it the tempered glass fully seals to the device or only seals around the edges of the glass?
Just heard from Whitestone email support that they do not currently plan on producing Dome Glass for the V40... real shame. Maybe some other V40 owners can chime in to pique their interest?
I was also just looking at the Poetic before I came over here, and also wonder if it is in fact full-adhesive. Anyone?

I've been looking at that but but I'm in high doubts it's full adhesive
I just installed the Poetic tempered glass from Amazon and it has a massive rainbow effect. There clearly isn't any adhesive in the middle. Until someone makes a decent one it will have to do.

Dang, it seems so difficult to find good tempered glass screen protectors. Poetic seemed promising but glad you confirmed it is not full adhesive, since so many brands don't specify.

Update!
Amid medium level reviews on Amazon, I have to say I'm surprised this pulen sp is working so well. Some kind of drier than normal glue, covers the whole sp, and if you place it perfectly, it's actually a very nice sp. The black frame slightly covers (1/10 of a mm) of left and right sides, but it really doesn't take away anything, not even the screen off blue notification around the frame. I'm not sure about the physical strength though. I'm a very careful person, never really drop my phone. No rainbow! No dust stuck around the borders. Right now I'm not sure I will order the liQuidSkin? I'm happy with this one
Folks, whitestone dome for LG V40 available for sale @ Amazon :

I'm using Key liquid glass screen protector. I can't stand the film protectors so decided to use this. It's a wipe on application, scratch resistant, 9H superior hardness rating, water proof and anti bacterial. Just clean the screen with the included cleaning wipe than apply the liquid screen protector via the included wipe. Let sit for about 5 minutes and you're set.

Screen protector

Hi,
can someone suggest me a screen protector for xperia 5 II that covers the whole display?
I read a lot of reviews about screen protectors that are smaller than the screen due to the curved edges.
Actually I have a Spigen that covers the whole screen, but I want to try a new one.
Thanks in advance
The one i have covers the full screen but the touch sensitivity at the sides are bad. Looking for recommendations for full screen that does not affect the side sensitivity.

I use one made by polish company, its also not a glass one so you might not fancy it, but it has some cool stuff to it, like self regeneration(it kinda does that), 99% germ cancelling(confirmed by some polish government company, and tested by some european one with certificates) its sleek and doesnt change colors nor does it interfere with touch, the protector is 3mk SilverProtection+ im darn happy with it, but it might be hard to get outside Poland, although still worth a try. I also use spigen clear armor case

Thanks. I will prefer glass type screen protector still. I have used something similar in the past from phantom skinz.
I'm using the Gorilla IQ Sheild on my Note 10+ which has a curved screen. It's an inexpensive fairly easy wet apply urethane that's very durable. This one has been on for about 8 months... that amazes me. Zero issues.
Unfortunately I don't think one is available yet for your model... I may be wrong.

Make sure you use a case that protects against faceplants and corner hits. I've been using the Zizo Bolt for over a year. No damage in spite of at least 6 drops on concrete.

I got the Supershieldz Glass cover through Amazon. I've been using it for four days and it's amazing. I've had to wipe the screen once in four days. I have a camera case, of course, and I can't feel a gap between the case and the cover but if I slip a fingernail in I can find a small gap.

How's the side sensitivity with the screen protector? Still trying to find one that doesn't affect the side sensitivity.
It seems to be working fine. I can swipe to go back to the previous screen.
Hi,
I had recently bought this phone and currently looking for a film protector for the screen. Which one do you suggest?
Thanks in advance.

See my above post. Wet apply is the best way to go. My current one is over 8 months old.
Little wear for the amount of use it's seen.
When I get around to it I'll slam a new one on... at $5 a pop.
I've found it on their website. Though there are 2 variants:
-LIQuid Shield™ Sony Xperia 5 II Screen Protector
-IQ Shield Matte™ Sony Xperia 5 II Screen Protector
Do you use regular one or matte?

I've never used the matte finish.
I have a Note 10+ with the curved screen and it works well. It should be no problem at all with a flat screen. Pay attention to letting it adhere properly at first. I waited about 6 hours but it was hot.

Because for matte they state it's anti-glare and better generally with fingerprint marks (not visible).
Thanks for the help. If the rest have something else, be free to recommend.

You simply wipe it occasionally with a dry microfiber cloth; fingerprints aren't an issue.

Good value, seem to do its job.
Covers the flat part of the screen there is a a gap - as expected.
If you do not fit it perfectly, there may be a part that is not glued to the screen.
Quality seem good, maybe a little sharp edges.
I got what I expected, it may not be what you want though.
The fullscreen protectors are hard to fit and come off more easily. Some cases are hard to use with fullscreen protectors too (and I take off the case often).
The protector in combination with a Caseology Vault makes it harder to side sweep and to use side sense. Sensitivity for side sweep should be set to highest. I am not happy with this.
