Hi
My phone is a G5 that was as new, never altered: bootloader was still locked, USB debugging and other special stuff were never changed.
Suddenly, the phone entered in bootlook, and booting in recovery mode shows "baseband: unknown".
Is there a way to repair the phone by reflashing it to stock rom in these circumstances?
Thank you for your help!
You can either
Enter recovery mode and format data and see if the phone boots
Or flash stock firmware via fastboot
Both of these can be done on a totally unmodified phone

I was trying to root the Xperia ION phone.
I followed all the the steps mentioned(HERE) & flashed the kernel available HERE.
BootLoader is unLocked
Now after flashing the kernel, the device had gone in bootloop mode.
I could access the recovery, but thats it.
When i tried to boot to system from recovery, it once again started bootloop.
So, from recovery i wiped the whole system partition of my fone {wipe data}.
Now there is not bootloop, when the phone starts it just gets stuck at SONY logo & after that it doesnt go any further.
While starting it displays a pink LED, so i can go into recovery by pressing VOL-UP key & from recovery i can go into BootLoader FastBoot Mode.
But i cannot get the green led to get into flash mode.
I dont know which type of bricked device is this HARD or SOFT BRICK.
But please help.
What should i do further so that i can again use the phone.
Currently the phone's battery is completely dead.

What firmware version were You on? I think using old kernel with new firmware made Your device soft brick. Try using a kernel which is of same firmware version as Your's.
Did You install drivers for flashmode? Because You need to flash the Your official firmware ftf via flashmode.
Else if You are able to access Your device on pc while being in recovery, find a rom with kernel in it and try the command:
Code:
push /pat/to/ROM.zip /sdcard
and then flash the rom.
Thanks buddy.
But i already solved the issue.
By going into the flashMode nd flashing the stock firmWare
Hello! my M8 was dropped to the floor by my girlfriend some days ago, and suddenly i had no carrier network and it just turned of after 5-10 minutes if it wasn't connected to power somehow. I Backuped up most of it, but apparently not all of my essential data........... most importantly my worktime overview.
Now it is stuck in boot loop, but i can access the bootloader and connect via Fastboot in fastboot, but no ADB.
The most important thing for me is just a backup so i can get a backup of my worktime overview. And then try factory reset.
Do you guys have some suggestion for me? The phone had an unlocked bootloader and TWRP and rooted OS, but i flashed back to vanilla os and relocked the bootloader.
Hi guys,
So my problem is that my phone (Rio-L01) only boots to the fastboot&rescue mode screen, i can also make it to the Huawei e-recovery screen but i can't get it to download an update. I tried the adb fastboot method with no success, I flashed boot, system and recovery images by extracting them from the stock update file but it failed because the phone is FRP locked. From my perspective it seems that I need to access to the phone to FRP unlock it but I can't do that because the phone is FRP locked, does anyone can provide help or am I doomed ?
I recently installed Evolution X 4.1.69 after unlocking my bootloader in my Pixel XL. After installing the custom ROM, I found that the OEM locking has been greyed out in the developer option.
Since the built of the custom ROM wasn't stable at that time, I decided to revert back to stock ROM. Unfortunately, I relocked my bootloader before recovering the factory image of the stock ROM.
After that, my phone screen starts flashing with the Google sign and keeps rebooting. I am able to access fast boot but I cannot access recovery mode from there. Pressing the recovery option from there will still lead me to a continuous boot loop, similar to what happen whenever I boot the phone.
I have tried these attempts with no avail.
1. fastboot oem unlock, failed since my bootloader is locked.
2. fastboot oem reboot-download, it causes continuous bootloop.
3. adb sideload bootloader.img, since I cannot access recovery mode, sideloading the factory image doesn't work as well.
4. flash factory image, failed as it still requires me to have an unlocked bootloader in order to do so.
Any suggestions on what I should do besides replacing the motherboard or RMA is greatly appreciated! Thanks!
you relocked your bootloader.
user error.
You sound pretty sure that you locked your bootloader. Did you actually go through steps to do so? Or was it just the grayed out option in developer settings? Have you tried to boot to TWRP or Lineage Recovery from fastboot?
(I found a way to fix it, but im not sure what could have caused it) My phone suddenly turned off while i was using it normally, and when i turn it on, it goes to fastboot mode, ONLY on fastboot mode. TWRP is still accessible, but i couldn't boot my phone back to normal.. I checked the volume buttons to see if they were stuck, but they weren't.. so i'm here to say what you should do to recover your phone:
You'!l have to flash stock rom in your phone (latest version is reccommended), but this will remove TWRP, so you'll have to flash again. Bootloader will remain unlocked after flashing stock rom.
If you guys can help me know what could've caused this, it would be very appreciated (•‿•)
