Hello to everyone, I got an used S9 mod. SM-G960F/DS with android Pie preinstalled on it and I'm trying to revert it back to Oreo.
Is it possible? My actual build is G960FXXU4CSE3 and May 2019 security patches.
Thank you
No you cannot, and this has already been asked multiple times lately, reading would have given you the answer

Same post says it's possible through Odin, others says it's not so I asked just to be sure and not waste time trying.
Thank you anyway for your answer

Once the bootloader version has increased higher than the previous firmware you want to flash, you cannot, you cannot downgrade the bootloader
Your current firmware is version 4, Oreo is version 2
G960FXXU4CSE3
Only firmwares you can flash now are version 4 or higher
Hi,
I am currently not near my PC - and Sammobile tells me "maintenance" and "no result for SM-G960F", so I'll have to ask here: in January, did the Pie firmware still carry the "2"?
I dislike Pie a lot, so in April I ordered an S9 online from a dealer who, in the description, expressly wrote "Android 8.0".
When I received my device, it had Pie installed (January security patch); so I simply downloaded some Oreo firmware for my region, flashed it with Odin - and it worked.
I am now on LineageOS 15.1, and that also works flawlessly.

Yes, the Pie bootloader was version 2 until April security patch when it changed to version 3

Hello,
I'm talking to the XDA community that I've been following for quite some time in research to find a way to unlock my bootloader.
So I've already browsed pages and pages, and I've already seen the different techniques proposed here, but I have a difference that most users seem to lack.
I have a Huawei P20 Lite AXE-LX2 phone, while the majority of people here seem to have an LX1. It is of Chinese origin, under its name Nova E3. It is currently in version EMUI 9.1.0.353(C636E4R1P5) with a security patch of July 2020.
Coming back to the bootloader, I want to unlock it by the Telegram channel or DC-Unlocker, so I need to dowgrade to an specific EMUI 8 version.
Except that I already have the EMUI 8 stocks for my device, but none for EMUI 9. On androidhost.ru, I only found an EMUI 9 archive for AXE-LX2 (https://androidhost.ru/2CNs) by a guy who runs a site called ministryofsolutions.com . By downloading it, the content is protected by a password. So I sent an email to the guy, who told me that the archive was private and not for the public, so I'll never get the password (he runs a real small business in his country).
So I'm blocked at the first step because I don't have any EMUI 9 stock for my AXE-LX2. androidhost.ru only has stocks for AXE-LX1, so those on LX2 or LX3 are literally blocked.
When I tried other sites to find firmwares, I find myself with an archive full of drivers and softwares to install, not at all in the form of the dload folder to put on an SD card.
I also found this old XDA post: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/ane-lx2-9-1-0-133-c605.3944407/ , but the same, not as a stock to install from an SD card, so I don't know how to do that at all (I put in screenshot the content of the two archives of the post).

Should I take the risk to install a stock AXE-LX1? Or could someone please give me an EMUI 9 stock corresponding to my model?
Thank you
I specify that I must first downgrade to an older version of EMUI 9 because HiSuite, whether in Chinese or English version, does not offer me the possibility to downgrade with my current version.

Hi, don't try it, it may brick your phone.
Unfortunately, there's no way to download Service ROM free for your build number, only for 17euros on paid websites.
After several hours of research, I managed to find a free stock ROM for AXE-LX2 at this address :
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=4349826312261804346
The installation was perfect, and I found myself with an old version of EMUI 9.1 of at least two years old I think. Unfortunately, HiSuite, Chinese version or not, didn't offer me to downgrade my version, probably still too recent, or I arrived too late. If someone has another solution to propose me, please let me know in reply.
In case the file is down, I can upload it to another service.
Otherwise to get AXE-LX2 EMUI 8 stocks, there are two of them I know of for free on androidhost.ru.
Just sold my G7, but my wife still uses her phone. The Android 10 landed in August, and after that, no security updates, or updates what so ever. I assume the phone has gotten its last update with the Android 10 + July security patch?
I believe so . Usaually non google phones get 2 years of os updates .
Bu I think I'll keep it and just flash evolutionx or another custom rom next year

Yep, this update ticket in on my wife's G7 today, just before i was about to factory reset it for sale. Some color changes in the dropdown icons menu from blue to green i noticed, not the first time they have changed the colors here if i remember correctly.
My question is similar: I got my Google Fi LG G7 ThinQ G710ULM back in 2018, and was able to updated to Android 9. In 2019, I switched over to T-Mobile since my phone was already GSM unlocked. Since then I have been stuck on Android 9. OTA update check tells me I am using the latest version, and LG Bridge says the same thing. How do I get stock Android 10 on my phone?
Many thanks.

G710ULM never got android 10 (why i don't know). But you can still flash firmware from another model via cross flash

Ugh. Would this require me to unlock bootloader, root, and the whole shabang? I've done it on my previous two phones and I am getting tired of doing stuff like that.
No you don't need. But i never did it because i didn't need it. It will be better if you will read carefully whole thread about it.

The official site says 'call quality improvements', which might be related to a call-breaking bug of the Google app.
For the certain variants, the security patch will be 01.2021, I have the G710EM model, it's 11.2020 for me.
So I bought a oneplus 9 pro from a dude yesterday for 500 bucks which is an absolute steal. I unfortunately however have the Indian version of the software (Oxygen OS 11.2.10.10.LE15DA)(Model: LE2120) so none of my 5g bands are working, which is the main reason I upgraded.
1.) Yes I know there's a very popular forum about how to flash the global version of oxygenOS but the thread gets posted in and updated constantly with different info from different people so it's harder to follow.
I need the following:
1.) Previous IN Oxygen build to downgrade.
2.) Current Global OxygenOS Version to upgrade.
I know doing this can wipe your data but the phone is a day old so I don't have any data. I can easily switch IMEI numbers through TMobile app as well so I'm not worried about that changing if it does. I just want the correct versions of the ROMS so I don't up/downgrade to the wrong versions and critically mess it up. Any help is appreciated and thank you!
If I'm incorrect with any of the information I provided please correct me as well. I truly appreciate any information on this topic!
Can you post your phone info, I got my from clicking on settings>about phone
I know you already mentioned it in the text, but a picture would help.

Flashing a global/europe firmware wont fix your 5G. You need to do some extra step and need to be rooted to get the 5G back. And 2120 it's Chinese version which comes with Color OS as primary but sellers found a way to flash Indian firmware there and flashed and sold the phone.
Below you will find LE15DA Indian downgrade to 11.2.5.5 link: https://oxygenos.oneplus.net/OnePlu...110_all_2107082121_downgrade_66a1f653e8ee4eb5
Downgrade to this and then install European firmware but wont get back 5G anyway try.

Surely. But I have been trying for 2 days continuously. Same error happening all the time. This( screenshot ) also happening from the beginning.
Are you signed into your Mi account in the tablet? If you are....then it is definitely a server issue. It happens a lot with Mi servers.
If you are not signed in....then sign in...and restart your tablet.
I guess your tablet is running the stock firmware?
Yes I have already signed in. Yes it is stock firmware. Indian version. 2 days ago I bought the device. I didn't do anything with the software.

Hi sir, same thing with my side. I think it's because tablet came with latest version pre-installed. After you will get new update you can see update log afterwards because same thing was happened with my poco f1 when i bought it first time. Let's wait and see if it will be gone after new updates or not.

Yes. It solved for me also
I am not experienced at all with ROMs, so a helping hand would be, well, helpful.

It was released with Android 6 and then later got 2 major upgrades (from 6 to 7 and 7 to 8) like all Samsung phones at that time. Android 8 was the last official version that A5 2017 received.

Yeah Android 7 was already available at the time A5 2017 released, however Samsung decided to ship it with 6 instead for some reason that we dont know.

your best bet would be is to install twrp, format system, boot, data, cache all that stuff, and extract system.img, boot.img from a 6.0 firmware for the a5 2017, and then flash it like a gsi. this could be a hit or miss, as it wasnt usable on my j5 2016, as i didnt have wifi, but perfectly fine on my s9.
