Hello, I've just received a new update, 10.3.1.0 global, but notifications on status bar still disappear after a second.
Ridiculous Xiaomi, now I'm thinking to flash Beta ROM, but support will end in July, so it has no sense.
Any suggestion?
That is by design since MIUI 8 or 9 you can't do anything about that on any of the official ROMs, but MIUI 11 might change that.

u can use modified miui rom, such as xiaomi.eu, revolution os, miroom, miglobe, etc.
they use weekly build as the base, and the notification is fixed.
i'm currently using latest xiaomi.eu and the notification is fine, and thr battery life is also improved than stock miui beacuse of bloatware-free

Really? But how since this Version is still not released yet globally:
https://en.miui.com/download-361.html#611
I mean know where in Miui but where do I get the Update file from?
Im also wondering where to download it?
Im still on 10.2.9.0
10.2.9.0 is for EEA region for European market which is different from Global. 10.3.1.0 is for Global ROM.
Just got the update for 10.3.1.0 on EEA, but it seems to be different than global. It was 670 MB and the changelog only said moon mode for camera and updated security patch...
Same got the update to 10.3.1.0 in the Netherlands.

I can confirm that that did helped. Thank you.
I have issues with the volume. The animation dissapears and a reboot brings it back. Also, there is a new "beta" released of this version to some users. First they cancel beta then they release a stable beta? Weird.
"The Update will be through OTA only and will be with/without Changelog."
Soo....with changelog?

Automatic brightness seems to have a problem since this update. Coming off a night-time charge the screen will not adjust to daylight without intervention.

First, its not new - beta stable versions were released much earlier.
Its simple.
Beta rom is developer rom (weely/daily/whatever).
Stable rom is older beta build without some newest changes.
Stable beta is "stable" rom provided first to some random people to get feedback. If there is no any serious bug then the same build is shared for everyone and becomes "stable".
Yes. I know that. But they cancelled public weekly betas due to that a very few people actually reported bugs. So only public stable remains for our device. But then they go ahead an publish a public global stable "beta" to a few random users. This is what I think is odd.
Of course there is beta releases but they are not public anymore. Only closed betas. And closed devs.
Feedback probably is a mess. Some people always have "battery drain" no matter what or other "not" working things (which are working for everyone except one person). They wont do wipe data to try to fix this by self and probably in received feedback there will be much more complaints than praise (even if update is really good).
Beta stable is good idea (there will be less bricked devices) but I dont like the fact that I cant install update manually if I wasnt chosen to test and rom wasnt published on official forum (at least without twrp...)
Anyone rooted on this update yet? If so, what version of TWRP did you reflash after the update and what version of Magisk are you using?
Thanks!

I only had to do a reboot..now I get 4 SOT with the display set to 720p. Not bad for me but I came from a Poco and this is way less that what I'm used too. AMOLED isn't that great even with dark mode on.
Alright when i got the news miui 11 is gonna release on 16 october, and then on 16th i realised nope....
Then another news it will release on 22 Oct and today is also 22 oct, but i see no update
Is the update is in order or something according to the miui website listing?
Can't you just wait? There are other phones on that list too, obviously.
It should come within the next few days. This discussion is just useless.

yep there's really not that much changes, just ui revamp and ****ty animations plus they messed up the ui size so I had to manually set it to 380 dpi in developer options
Is there a wat to go back to Miui 10? This update is a mess, and I lost the wireless display function.

if they haven't nerf the function of MIUI OTA, then you can downgrade by downloading MIUI 10 ROM then use OTA ota to install it (tap repeatedly on logo from system update to enable installation from local storage)

It is recommended though to do a factory reset, as with every big update some things may be left over or broken, even when they try their best to make all your apps and data working from Android Pie.
If anyone factory resets kindly post an update here.

There is still no way to set it up without the switcher app. From what I've gathered, it's because it's not a true Global ROM but a regional one (India) where it was officially released. So although the phone is capable, it's limited by software (so no 5G, VoLTE, VoWiFi unless using a carrier of the official regions). I've read that even if you flash with the ColorOS China ROM, the issue persists. We will have to wait if they program it for true global use in the future or forever stuck using the switcher app.

Yup, that's how it currently is, as far as I understand it.
Also, a reason why the Android 11 rootkit won't work with the 9RT is it already seems to have some ColorOS programming - thus, entering the suggested *#800# for engineering code now just opens a feedback app - something that is also seen on the other OnePlus Android 12 devices.
