Tested it. The camera works fine, the 48MP options working good. But always crashed on potrait mode camera.
IMHO, gcam had a better picture quality.
This mod replaces the default camera apps on installed. It means, your default camera apps will gone after flash this mod.

Is portrait mode working on 112 original version?? from anx??
Can u mention any other anx camera version in which portrait mode is working on your lavender?? Then I can make that version stable with 48Mp mod.

Yeah, for me the potrait mode made the apps crashed and when I open the camera again, it stays on potrait mode. So I can barely open the apps, the only way to recover it just with clear the storage of the apps. So the camera restarting the state, just like when opened for the first time.

Idk, never tried ported anx camera before. This was my first time.
Maybe you can provide the link for other version of this ported apps for lavender? I can try if I know where to download the files.

Tried every lower version till v100
V98 cannot even open in photo mode.
So I'm guessing lower than that will not work anymore.
Every version till v100, none of them works in potrait mode.
The rom still on PE ROM CAF editions.
I flashed it in my Redmi note 7 Indian version and it broke everything the anxCamera says can't connect to the camera. GCam is crashing and WhatsApp is crashing while opening camera.
I'm on PE ROM caf edition.

Reflash the zip in twrp, it will uninstall the anxCamera.

Reflashing the zip uninstalled the camera but gcam and other camera apps still didn't work. I had to reflash the ROM to make it work again.

please change the rom and try something else like other caf based roms.And see if it works or not because in our violet some the people stated that they are having same portrait mode bug but after switching 1/2 roms they found everything working.I don't have lavender so u need to test. And portrait mode bug is reported on the official Camera mod too.So if they fix portrait mode u will have fully bugless camera app from me .

Same here, Lavender with Havoc OS 2.6. Installed everything (camera related) crashed, uninstalled, still nothing works. Even the stock camera app stops working.
Please check it, or put a warning in the first post.

I'm using V83 and it so good to work. No problem with Gcam & other. But when i use v111 - 114 it crash all. No Camera can working, Anx & Gcam. So i uninstall it and Gcam working good again. Hope v115 so good than.
Can i flash v115 on v83 or uninstall 83 before install v115
V115: Portrait make app error. Come back v83 is the good idea !
v115 works fine except for portrait mode where the app crashes. Also shooting in 48mp mode only gives 12mp images.

This is kinda work in progress port of Gcam with hdr+ for arm devices. it's based on google camera version 4.2.035.141213305-arm.
it needs camera api 2 enabled. you can enable it via flashing the zip I've attached or add below line into build.prop.

Stock rom is preferred, but it should work on all roms as long as above requirement is met.

Since it requires flashing this file, I think root is required. Not sure if can be done without.

slowmotion video won't work, nor i will fix it. moto cam have that option already. this is only for hdr+
Again, i don't have this phone to test, does HDR+ with touch/auto focus works or not on this phone ? seriously guys you are getting free lunch here, all i'm asking how it tastes and you can't even tell me that ?

First of all thank you the thing is working great on aicp (13).
There seems to be no problem with touch to focus our HDR+. In fact I even tried it on copy is (android 8.0.0) and it kinda cured it of the camera bug.

Working in LOS 15! Seems that it doesn't fall victim to the problem of freezing when trying to take more than one consecutive photo which is very nice! It has a few quirks such as only going up to about 9MP max resolution (due to being ported from a 9MP device?), a few of the features such as slow motion and panorama etc. are not working, and trying to use HDR+ with the front-facing camera crashes the app, but it seems that the point of this was just to get HDR+ working so I'd say it's working nicely! The image quality is great despite the loss of resolution, especially in low light and autofocus / touch to focus seems to be working fine! Thanks!
I was testing with Ressurection Remix 7.1.1 and the camera doesn't work.
Tried without editing the build.prop and crashed, flashed the .zip and not only the google camera didn't work, it also broke the other cameras (LO Camera and Moto Camera). Putting the value back to 0 restored functionality in both cameras but Google Camera is still not working.

HDR+ won't work without enabling camera 2api.
Root is required to manually enable camera 2api so you can probably just flash the zip by the dev and be done with it without rooting your device.
Nice port. Everything working fine on STOCK OPTIMIZED rom, except:
- HDR+ in Frontal Camera crashes the app
- Slow Motion crashes the app
- Sometimes the video recorder don't saves the video, don'ts show any message or error.
And for some uses that can't start app because it's crashing on start:
Reinstall system
Don't flash HAL3 zip
Start the rom, boot, insert your Google Credentials
after setting up the rom, restart your phone and flash the zip
after flashing the zip, install gcam apk as normal apk
that's all

And yes, touch to focus and auto-focus is working too. In video recorder the touch to focus works too.

you need to root your phone and then replace cameraHAL of ob3 to that of ob2 if you want gcam to work in your device.after rooting nd installing magisk,search for a thread gcam fix and install that module.gcam will work.now everything will be working except the slow motion video,front motion picture,and the most wanted feature front portrait mode.rear portrait mode is working like wow.

Great mod, and thanks everyone who worked on it. Can anyone tell us what is the best settings for op5? I have put everything for pixel and the pics are really awesome, but the app is kinda laggy and crashes sometimes. Also, sometimes it gets stuck when i try to take a pic while the flash is on.

i flash 2 magisk module, it work fine in both OOS 5.0 and custom 8.1 rom.

I'm using your camera apk without any problem!! (no root no kernel no mods etc)
No fc , without crashing ! works parallel with the stock camera!
in low light not so good,but generally works well(video works normally)

There is no use if you can't get good photos in low light the app works when you dnt change any settings after installing it but is that state the app works just as normal one without pixel features

Luckily I'm having a Robin, recently BSG mod Google camera is updated with Pixel 2's Portrait Mode. I tried GCamera (V5.1.018) and Portrait mode working surprisingly good on Nextbit Robin. But problem with the Rear camera is that it is not working without Portrait.
Settings i was using:
Conf. Hdr+ : Nexus 6 auto
Model : Pixel2XL
Hdr+ Parameters : High
Can you tell exactly what version did you get?
Are you using a ROM in particular?
I can't get it to work in Lineage OS

I'm currently running RR-Final with magisk15.3 and both the rom and GCamera are working very well.
The GCMod version 5.1.016 has that portrait mode, I've just combined the two versions and in this mod, only lens blur is replaced with the Portrait Mode and it's working absolutely fine motion photos are too working good.

No issues here, which rom you're currently on? Try flashing google camera patch and c2api enabler from magisk, it may help you with that. ?

I tried few apks but not even one is getting installed.

It's based on Google Camera 5.1.018. I haven't had any luck getting newer versions to install, but that one works fine, including Portrait mode, Lens Blur and Photosphere. I had to disable video stabilisation, otherwise video recording would crash. If front camera gives a green tint, there's a setting to fix that in Advanced -> Fix Camera API2.

Do you have an older version of Google Camera installed? If so, try uninstalling it first. Also, are you on Oreo? Many GCam ports seem to require at least Oreo and won't work on Nougat.

Gcam mod it doesn't work on 32 bits. You need custom 64bit roms

I've only had my Z2P for less than two weeks, but it's been perfectly stable so far. Can't really compare with stock ROM because I flashed it to LOS on day 1.

Is this for moto z2 play stock ROM ?
Friends we can finally use dual camera in any custom rom.
Install using Magisk.
If it does not work at the first attempt it is recommended to return to the stock rom and then install the custom rom.
That way everything will work without problem.

Strange. I am on the latest build, with DragonHeart Kernel. All seems to work fine.

Does this cam crashes frequently? I know cameras have been always the most difficult part o custom roms, I am still on stock only for the camera, other roms I tried (with a mi a1, to be honest) crashed when I need to take a quick picture... Also tried the GCam, it has better quality but it was worse at the end, it broke the whatsapp camera taking green pictures and random crashes were common. I would really like to install RR or any other rom, but the camera is dragging me back.
I wish there would be a debloated stock rom (no GAPS and the few xiaomi extras) just for keeping the camera working normally, but noone has done it (and I am far for been able to )

Also tried the GCam, it has better quality but it was worse at the end, it broke the whatsapp camera taking green pictures and random crashes were common. I would really like to install RR or any other rom, but the camera is dragging me back.
I wish there would be a debloated stock rom (no GAPS and the few xiaomi extras) just for keeping the camera working normally, but noone has done it (and I am far for been able to )

I get green tinted photos when I zoom in this camera app. Otherwise, I encounter no crashes or other problems.
Fix for the color bug:
Set the HDR mode to "live".
Portrait Mode is absent on AOSiP ROM
Portrait mode does not work on back camera.
Front camera has color bug. But, if hdr turn on or in portrait mode it works fine.

Miui camera works with almost every custom rom : Superior , crdroid , POSP , RR (I've tested on them )
Portrait mode crashing with back camera is fixable , you'll need some file explorer with root permissions . The problem is with vendor mismatch , and you'll need to make some changes , here is the walkthrough:
How to solve vendor mismatch bug:
Find string ro.vendor.build.fingerprint in the file /vendor/build.prop, copy the value from it and replace this value to ro.build.fingerprint in the file /system/build.prop ,reboot and portrait mode has to be working , it works for me all the time
Unfortunately I don't know where is the problem. After install this module and restart device, then stuck on AEX boot animation. After uninstall module in Magisk Mnanager 4 Recovery boots again normally For me also not working MI A2 camera port in generic Magisk modules, respectively not all functions, no live image filters, crashing etc. Can't it cause the custom Vendor of AEX rom?
Base lineageos.snap camera and GCam 6.2.030 works fine. I use both of them, it is not the conflict in there?

This link doesn't contain any magisk zip module, this is nova launcher backup file(?). I'm using Lawnchair on Aex.
I have all Magisk modules unistalled before flash MiuiCamera.zip of course, but stuck on AEX screen persist.
I have tried more versions of miui camera, but no satisfying success.
