Hi,
Anyone know where I can get the IC Chip in my Galaxy S3 (i747) repaired in North America
It sounds like the IC chip needs to be replaced.
Beyond going through Samsung (and paying...more than the phone is worth, to have it fixed)
does anyone know if any repair shops in North America do this (I would mail them my device)??
I've seen youtube tutorials of people replacing/fixing the IC Chip and you can buy it on ebay (it requires soldering and a heat gun to fix) so clearly people are doing this themselves.
Hi!
My Optimus G has had ghost touches for a month now, I've tried sending it in for repair but the service center says the motherboard is busted (which i doubt) and costs a fortune! it costs the same as a brand new Optimus G.
My suspicions lie in a grounded digitizer cable or a faulty digitizer altogether. I found an online retailer who sells the display/digitizer and I was wondering if I could do the repairs myself.
My Optimus G is a korean variant (F180K) and I was wondering if there's any difference between the hardware layout in the korean variant and the international variant? I haven't found any piece of info that says they're different so I'm not entirely sure but a local service center said that international and korean variants have different hardware, therefore you can't use international parts for korean variants; I was also wondering if that was true.
Any info would really help. I've tried everything software side but to no avail, the ghost touch problem is hardware related.
hello guys,i just wanna ask about the different A50 NFC vs Non NFC,i already have A50 non NFC version and i thinking about to costume or mod my A50 to become a NFC version,is that possible or not? NFC is from the hardware or a software?
thx all
Nfc is a hardware chip so its not possible to make A50 nfc enabled handset
Is that a known fact? Has anybody checked if the nfc hardware is not present in non nfc enabled A50s? Some companies dont enable features in their phones for different licensing issues, but the hardware is still present.
Good Luck With That Move...
It's A Moot Point...
Either Samsung in your Region supports Samsung Pay MST / NFC or they do not.
You can try to flash a different CSC... but I would flash the "Un-Teathered" Firmware version 1st..... then try an Odin Flash of a specific Region's Firmware.
Good Luck With That..
If someone figures out how to activate NFC on the non-NFC A50, I would be very grateful and interested.
I bought the A50 in the UAE and never imagined it wouldn't have NFC in the UAE version especially since a lot of websites report the A50 has NFC.
All my phones since 2012 have NFC and I could not have imagined Samsung would not have NFC on a phone like the A50 in all markets.
I guess the first question is whether the non-NFC A50 has the NFC hardware / antenna installed? If it does, then maybe a ROM / region / software solution exists ...
I flashed the Indian CSC rom to see if activates the NFC function in my UAE (non-NFC) A50. It does not.
I suspect the phone does not have the hardware but I cannot confirm this. If anyone has any further ideas for getting NFC working, please share. Thanks.

I think that 505F has diferent hardware than 505FN because 505F is manufatured in India and 505FN is manufactured in S. Korea. So, Im pretty sure that 505F hasnt included Nfc chip on motherboard.
Tearing apart
I teared apart my A505G, and it dosen't have the antenna but there are 2 non soldered contacts. I suspect those are from the NFC, so maybe if I can get the NFC antenna from the European version, it may work. If someone know a repair shop that sells that, please notify me.

Hi, I was given a broken Samsung S9 and the fix was a new motherboard. Im in the UK so I ebayed a motherboard for a Samsung S9. The new motherboard is a 960F but when I replaced the existing motherboard the one inside was a 960U. Now the camera is not working.
Is the fix the flash the new 960F with a new firmware for a 960U? Will that work? Can anyone give me some advise please.

No, the UK motherboard needs UK firmware.
But there are some hardware components that were not replaced, such as the front camera.
Maybe there is a kind of incompatibility.
Or the back camera of the motherboard is corrupt.
I have a quick question to ask you ... I have a Samsungs Note 10+ with the initials SM-N975FD (Exynos) and for reasons of knox I would like to change the motherboard.
I have an offer of a motherboard signed SM-N976B always of 512Gb which if I'm not mistaken should be the 5G version of the Samsungs Note 10. I don't know if it's a plus version or not!
So what I am wondering, by only changing motherboard to my phone, the rest of the components, cameras, sim slot, wifi antennas, etc ... are compatible with this motherboard?
