TCL tv volume drop after android 8 update - Philips, Sony, TCL Android TV

Hello all,
I have a TCL 43S6500 tv. Two days ago it was updated to android 8.0.0 and the sound volume dropped considerably (I now need to crank it up to 100 on the tv's speakers, and the volume is also weak on the outside speakers connected through a receiver.) I was watching something when I was prompt to update, and the volume was ok , so I'm pretty sure the problem was with the update. The volume drop is uniform on all apps on the tv, including Netflix and Kodi connected to my computer. I've tried checking for further android updates but the system says there are none.
I can crank up the volume but I'm worried this might happen again and make the volume even weaker. Anything I can do?
Thanks!

I experienced the exact thing you described on my TCL. Audio is coming from HDMI connected to a windows pc running kodi in wasapi passthrough mode.
I losten using bose qc 35 ii bluetooth headphones. Before the upgrade, changing volume using the tv remote and using the volume buttons on the headphones would both cause the volume display to show on the tv. After the upgrade, the volume controls on the headphones don't cause the volume to display on screen, but do still increase the volume.
I've kind of solved the issue by reducing the TV volume to about 50 using the TV remote, then increasing to make it loud enough using headphone volume controls, which seems to make it louder without changing the TV volume from the 50 I set with the remote.

Volume Control for AFTV?

I have KODI on my AFTV connected to a Phillips TV and a Bose Speaker set connected to the TV. Is there a way to control the volume? Kodi volume control doesn't work? Please help!
Just FYI..It doesnt work on aftv , volume control...use your remote to control volume on your bose speakers.[emoji106] [emoji1]
TV cannot control volume output to speakers! What can I do?
I suppose the Bose speakers are connected to the Television. if so... the tv can control the volume output on a set range.

I use an app called Base EQ. It has an equalizer with a wide range of choices on one side, and volume control on the other. You can't adjust the volume with the remote, but it works with a mouse. The only downside might be that you can't adjust the volume through the app while in another app. You could also try Pie Control and other similar apps. I actually use Pie Control on my Fire TV, Galaxy S4, and Galaxy Tab 3 8.0. A mouse is needed to control Pie with, but if I remember right it does have volume control options that can be placed on one of the two available levels. If possible, I'd recommend installing Aptoid, since the last time I tried to find Pie Control in the Playstore I couldn't find it. It's checking out.

Keep Bluetooth and System Media Volume Separate?

I just bought this off of amazon and it arrived today. (It's a $25 Soundpeats bluetooth headphone).
After pairing it with my XL, I am greeted with trash sound quality when playing some music on Spotify. The headphone would distort when I'm turning up the volume via my phone. In no way am I blasting the volume (it's at 50% and it's still distorting like crazy). At first I thought it might've been a ViPER issue and turned off all the effects that I had on previously. Still no luck.
Next, I tried lowering the volume via phone and increased the volume of the headphone itself all the way.. And that's when I realized that the volume between the headphone and system were synced up. Whenever I increased the volume via headphone, the system volume would increase as well. Is there a way to keep the headphone volume and system media volume separate? Or is this something built-in with the headphones?
I tried pairing the headphones with my brother's Galaxy S8+, and volume controls for the headphones and system were separate! I turned the headphone volume all the way to max and controlled the volume mainly via the phone. Played a couple of songs off his S8+ using Spotify as well and I was able to achieve way better sound quality and louder volumes without distortion at all.
I figured that this might be software specifically related to the Pixel that's causing this. Anyone happen to have any ideas on what I could possibly do?
I'm trying to adopt to Bluetooth to be ready for the 2 XL, but so far the transition has been nothing but frustration.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
I use Volume Butler from the playstore, it works great for exactly what you are describing.

very low Bluetooth volume output

I have noticed that when either connected to Bluetooth headphones or streaming to my car stereo that I am having to turn the volume up to nearly 90% just to get a reasonable volume.
Any work around for this ?

Yea I have a pair of wireless beatsx, but those headphones are junk anyway. Can not get them "loud". Maybe its the phone/bluetooth..
I noticed the same thing when I first paired the 7t with my car's BT. I don't consider it a problem because all I had to do was raise the volume on the car radio, and it remembered the setting. But I'm only listening to navigation prompts and voice phone calls. I haven't tried it with music.
Anyone solved this problem?
While using headphones or any audio-bt devices connected to oneplus 7t i can get only around 70-80% of max device volume.
My bluetooth can get painfully loud on any system... Are you sure you are not facing to sets of volume controls?
Some "dumb" headphones / speakers just have one output volume and you control loudness via the phone volume. Others have their own volume processing (like a car stereo). If you max out your phone volume then you can control the loudness via the stereo.
Numerous times I've been in the car and can't figure out why I need to turn the stereo volume up so high only to realize I've bumped the phone volume to a low setting.

Volume control in Fire stick

Is there any possible to way to reduce volume down/up from remote. As i connected firestick directly into my monitor, it is difficult for me to reduce the volume.
Been looking for this answer for years. The only thing i ever found was in KODI, you can set a amplifier to work. It isn't true volume control and only works in kodi, but it was good for a monitor with me...

You can use a Bluetooth speaker or audio amplifier to control the audio volume.
Or, connect your Fire stick to your TV or PC monitor with speaker built-in to control the audio volume using TV remote (not a Fire stick).
You can control the audio volume using ADB:

TCL P715 digital audio out

External soundbar connected via digital audio out. Set to PCM mode. Sound still comes from TV speaker. Tried setting Auto and Pass Through. I can turn TV to mute but then mute icon appears. When using TV volume up or down, TV speaker starts playing again. I want only the sound bar to sound, no sound from TV speaker, and volume control via TV remote. How?

You can't as thing stand now. What I do to get around this issue it to keep the tv volume at 1.
This issue comes and goes (might depend on the order which devices are powered on).
New issue - with latest OS update there is a significant audio delay on some inputs.
