Battery Issue with capacity - Lenovo ZUK Z2 (Plus) Questions & Answers

My Z2 plus battery backup was not good. I got new battery installed but battery backup is still bad. I installed accu battery pro app it shows my battery capacity of around 1800 mah. Can any one please tell me if this is battery issue or software or even baseband issue.

battery M9 with different capacity

Does anyone tried a different battery capacity? I found a 3000 mAh on ebay, did anyone tried it?
Do you think is harmful?
Thank you in advance
Is this battery built by HTC was is a third-party battery that is working with HTC?
It isn't a HTC battery, is a spare with more capacity, but I don't know if it's harmful or not, I didn't found anything in internet about it...
I don't think the battery capacity will harm the phone, maybe just the battery will hold longer or not, depends on it's quality.
The point is: does the actual stock battery has a fix number of cycles or whatever? The actual battery has 2850 mah capacity, the new one 3000...the difference of 150 mah will be recognized by the mobile? This is my concern..

The phone will charge and discharge the extra 150mAh but the correct capacity will not be reported by software.
Anyway 2850 vs 3000 is a little change, and if the battery quality is lower than HTC original battery maybe you'll not see any difference or maybe the battery will hold shorter.

From what i've seen on the Galaxy Gear S forums, somebody fitted a bigger battery inside and it worked just fine.
And his watch now lasts a few more days.
Anyway, for 150mAh more is simply not worth the risk.

Got a battery replacement to extend my phone's life but I see almost no difference.

I have a OnePlus 3 which I bought in June 2016. Fair to say the battery was starting to deteriorate. I had always planned on keeping this phone for at least 4 years. So to extend its battery life, I went ahead and got the battery replaced at the authorized OnePlus Service Center (for $25).
I see almost no difference though. Also, the battery capacity comes up less than 3000 mAh in the advanced battery options in my phone's ROM (2688 mAh). My older battery showed up as 2250 mAh.
I checked up on battery calibration but seems like it is not required at all.
Is it possible the OEM's provide poor replacement batteries so people aren't able to extend their phone's life which is otherwise in great condition? Or is the advances battery info erroneous?
They gave me a one month warranty. Would anyone recommend that I go back to them and ask for a replacement?
If it helps, I am on the latest HavocOS build and have root enabled.
I sent my phone directly to OnePlus 1 month ago, but I did not notice any improvements, I'm not sure they actually changed the battery even if they say so... Also cause I had a dbrand skin on and they haven't removed it.

Have you calibrated the battery? It is advised to with a new battery. Normally 2x Discharge to 10% then full charge

They actually gave back my original battery. And the number of charge cycles can be found using a bunch of apps. Not sure if that can be reset. So you can try using one of those to see if your battery really is new.

May be the 'new' battery was manufactured in 2016. Remember that the production of OP3 was stopped after the launch of the 3T. So this battery might have been sitting on the shelf all this time.

Wow thanks for that info. Btw I switched back to OxygenOS (One3OS) and the battery life has drastically improved for me.

NexPlay and extended battery help

Hi.
My name is Andre.
I have an xperia play that I've been using as a pocket emulator for years.
I have the NexPlay Rom installed, as well the recommended LuPuS CM9 Kernel and .58 Enhanced firmware.
Recently I bought one of these 4500 mAh battery and back cover from ebay.
The original charge it came with lasted a good while so I really believe this is not a fake battery.
But I can't get the phone to recognize the new battery capacity and charge it. The phone seems to only charge it up to the original 1500 mAh.
I've added the following line to build.prop (the line wasn't present) through the BuildProp Editor app:
ro.semc.batt.capacity=4500
But even after clearing the cache, davik cache and resetting the battery stats, I see no changes.
Can anyone help? I'd really appreciate it.
sorry i cant help, but a 4500mah battery sound nice, when i had the xplay i had a 2450 mah and worked fine, the only problem is it decayed its capacity very very quickly

Thanks anyway.
Since my original post I've done more reading, searching and testing.
Turns out there is nothing functionally wrong with the phone, other than it still thinking the battery is 1500 mah for battery duration calculations.
The charge percentage is correct, and the phone is charging the battery until it reaches a voltage of 4.2, which means it's full.
It's the battery itself that is only taking in about 2800 mah. The seller said he would send me another one.

Defective battery?

I recently purchased version 4/64 of this mobile, for 223 euros. The point is that Accubateri pro tells me that the battery capacity is 4,300 mah, about 5,000 mah theoretical is this normal? Should I change the phone?

Best to check for the battery life with your "normal" usage. If it is ok for you, keep the battery. If not you can try to optimize battery life, e.g. by using better battery stats app, recording an idle dump and post it in the BBS thread (https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/app-2-2-05-oct-v2-4-betterbatterystats.1179809/). Experts will share tips and tricks to optimize your battery life.
The mAh number alone is not that important IMO.
