Hi, i was just wondering if it would be a difference, talking ROMs field, if i buy a n930fd or a n930f.
Im a freak rom flasher and i always see problems with compatibility with dual sim devices, ill use a single sim and a microsd but i dont know if the roms compatibility is an issue of the fd firmware even if u use 1 sim card or is a problem that appears only when u use 2 sims.
Im tired of waiting the n930f version to come out and i would like to buy the dual sim version but it will be a no no if ill have lack of roms or more issues even using 1 sim.
Tnx in advance.
U want custom roms? Dont buy a dual sim.
I too was faced with this dilemma.
they're identical in every way except it supports 2 Sims. there's really no reason for the inferior F model to exist with FD around.
and yes you can flash custom roms fine, the same roms as the F gets. I've already flashed a custom rom to my FD phone.
the only hardware different is the Sim card tray.
When you flash an F ROM to the FD do you lose the Daul SIM capabilities?
I have ordered the dual sim version of the note 8. Naturally EE uk offer volte only on phones bought from them... Could be possible to flash the carrier firmware that support only one sim on the dual sim version?

Wha? No Note 8.0 ever go dual sim variants, even in the UK, which are phablets. Being 3 year old hardware, the only custom ROMs worth while now have modem updates but are limited to the carrier info. You would need to provision with a proper simple from the provider you intend on usingl

My answer was simple, don't flash our firmware to your dual sim Chinese Note 8.0. You'll brick it!

Hello,
I have Samsung A5 2017 Single Sim (SM-A520F) and I want to know if I can convert it to Samsung A5 2017 Dual Sim (SM-A520F/DS).
If the answer is yes can you tell me how?
If install the firmware from SM-A520F/DS in my phone and use the right sim holder (sim+sd card) will be ok?
I have two phone numbers and I can't use two phones all the time.
P.S. In Europe Official Samsung A5 is the SM-A520F
Thanks for your time.

I doubt it. The phone must have the hardware to read 2 SIMs. Not as eady as putting a SIM caddy. Not sure if the SS device has that hardware in place. The Moto X Play did, but dual SIM can only be done with two IMEIs. Furthermore, the legality of such a system varies from country to country
You could buy a Dual sim Adapter
I want to know...if someone has a DS version can they use a 520F firmwire!?

Hello dear friends,
I want to buy a Samsung Galaxy S9.
The only model avalaiable available here is the dual sim version(G960F/DS)
The question is...the custom ROM`s that are available for the single sim version(G960F) are compatible with the dual sim version(G960F/DS)?
Yes

Ok, thank you. I was affraid to buy the dual sim version due the lack of XDA support for that model. But, if the custom ROM`s are compatible, I will buy it.

Sorry... Just checked twice. But the sm-g960n is a single SIM model. No hybrid dual sim available. Regardless what firmware you will flash.
